Very frustrating. The food is good but service is awful. The hostess tells everyone that walks in it will be " only a few minutes ". We ended up sitting 40 minutes later. Please be honest with people. Btw, it's over priced and don't going it's raining. The roof leaks in a few spots !! read more

First time dining at Double Ai - since it's COVID time called ahead to confirm available space. I give it five stars for great and fast service. Every table receives a bowl of crispy fried noodles with some sweet and sour sauce. We ordered the black pepper chicken and shrimp and another plate of salt pepper shrimp and scallops and each dish comes with a side of white or brown rice and let me tell you the portion for the $15 price is soooo worth it. We were so full (we also ordered an appetizer) that we had to ask for containers as we couldn't finish our meal. Definitely worth enjoying a meal here. read more

Sorry but this place just doesn't do it for us. This is the 2nd time we are trying it and the service is just terrible. The servers and hostess all have bad attitudes and when asked simple questions it's like you are bothering them. The place has stuff all over. Every corner inside and outside has stuff and it just doesn't seem neat anywhere. We have also tried takeout from here and both times orders were incorrect and incomplete. We came here on 09/01/2023 there was a lot of good reviews but some but some really bad ones. We gave it try. The view or the lake and the outside patio is very nice. Great summer spot. The food was good not the best I have had but I didn't see all the negatives people were saying. Sushie was fresh but not top tier. Way better then types you see in a buffet. We also had Chinese food we wanted to try a little of everything. The Tom yum soup was delicious and very spicy. Wonton soup was good. Yellow tail jalapeño was really good. Good selection of Chinese and Japanese dishes but only a few Thai selections. The miso soup was good as was the chicken satay. The chicken was flavorful and juicy but the peanut sauce lacked flavor. The pork and chicken gyoza came out hot and crispy with a nice dipping sauce. The crab roll was ok, but small compared to others we've had. Might go again - I've been to Double Ai's 3 times or so now. The first 2 times was a good experience. However, the most recent, 3rd time was quite disappointing. I visited with a number of my friends and their kids. This last experience was not what I was expecting. The problem was when we were being seated. Given the current COVID times, you would think that all restaurants are taking extra care in safety guidelines. This was not the case. When looking around, our group noticed that the seating arrangement was not taking into consideration social distancing. People were seated without table separation as most places are doing now. Because of this, our group asked to be seated at a different table from the one that they were setting up. The second seating arrangement that was being set up was not much different from the initial. It was a corner and last table but right behind another table and customers. Therefore, we asked to be seated at a specific location at the patio which became the only table separated from others. The facial expression that was given to us for asking this was very unpleasant. We should not need to ask for this type of seating arrangement given the current environment. In addition, the workers should not give customers such a displeasured look for asking of such arrangements. COVID safety rules are a given. Either place a note that your restaurant doesn't care about spreading or use common sense. As I am a local and did enjoy the food and outside dining setup near the lake, I may give Double Ai's another chance. However, if I do visit again, it may be the last depending on the service and rude workers, if any, at the time. Highly recommend management to review their workers and following COVID guidelines. read more

I ordered take out on December 21 because I love their wonton soup. Called my order in with the soup , shrimp shu mei , and chicken with broccoli. I did not receive the shu mei but recieved shrimp Szechuan . I called right away and said the order was incorrect and I wanted a refund . The girl who answered said ok she would refund me . It's Monday and no refund. I will go to the restaurant with my receipt and if they don't refund me this is poor movement on the restaurant. I hope they do the right thing. read more

We ordered egg rolls, wonton soup, dumplings, and two main dishes...all of which were so underwhelming that both my wife and I chose not to eat the leftovers the next day (highly unusual for us). All of the items were oily and lacked flavor. They also didn't taste very fresh. We were pretty disappointed because we had been curious about Double Ai for years, and it's pretty close to us. By far this is the best Chinese food in our area. I had it delivered onetime and the next Time I picked it up. What a surprise inside the restaurant. It sits overlooking a lake. Have been wanting to try this place for over a year and had high expectations and they EXCEEDED in every area - from ambiance (outdoor deck is just perfect), food, and service. A great selection of different apps rolls, and entrees - the food is prepared so well and it is SO FRESH. I love that it's a BYOB, too! We will definitely be back... I couldn't stop saying how amazing and delicious it was with every single bite. Get the land and sea entree - it comes out and put on a cast iron tableside so it sizzles - just makes it a little more fun :-) read more
