Truly, just OK Chinese food. Not terrible but not good. The boneless spareribs were dry and a little overdone. The lo mein was a little bit on the tasteless side. Also got the hunan chicken and beef and the orange beef. Orange beef had good flavor ( actually used that sauce on the dry boneless spare ribs) and hunan chicken and beef was pretty decent. We have been getting their food for several months. Usually it's shrimp chow fun which we really enjoy. Last time we tried the shrimp toast. Some of their soups are very tasty like the chicken corn soup. The food is always nicely packed and hot when we pick it up. One order usually lasts for a couple meals. read more

First wok is as close to what I've been looking for as I've gotten so far and I've tried a lot of places. They're always very friendly in the phone. My go to's are shrimp and broccoli which is delicious. I also really like their boneless spare ribs and fried wontons. Usually pretty quick delivery except one Friday when they were super busy. This is my go to place for Chinese food, always fast & helpful service. Food is consistent and fresh.

Been coming here off and on for MANY years when in the area. It appears they have different people working there in the recent months/ past year. Plus, there are a lot of children behind the counter from a teenager to very small/ young children asking what I wanted. In addition, the food quality hasn't been as good lately especially the entree type dishes. We ordered dumplings too (which usually in the past where always good ) which weren't cooked very well the dough was chewy and not cooked thru all the way. Last time too w this new staff they have been so disorganized as well. Sad to see the other staff apparently left and " moved away" Sad to see the changes because it is not as enjoyable. Been eating here for years, but this will be the last time. I always thought they were overpriced for fast Chinese food, but my husband swears they're the tastiest. Today I ordered steamed beef w broccoli and, literally, it was 11 pieces of "beef" for $11. Not even full or large chunks, mind you. Just cut up jagged pieces and a lot of broccoli. Rip off. I don't think it's fair to charge $11 for a "large" steamed beef w broccoli and give a small white rice. Beware. Very cheap w their meat. Standard American style Chinese food. Good spot if you're looking forward to splitting an egg roll with a significant other or if you're in the mood for non pretentious American style Chinese food. I recommend wrapping your egg roll in a paper towel to soak up some of that wonderful artery clogging grease before consuming. I love this restaurant so much. My husband and i have been eating here since we moved to the area almost 6 years ago. I feel they are one of the best Chinese food around. We love their fried rice. My husband loves their boneless spare ribs. I always order their lemon chicken which is 10/10 so amazing. I haven't tried anything else from their menu because I love the lemon chicken so much. Ok, this place now officially gets 1 Star. - My GF ordered vegetarian steamed dumplings and instead got pork dumplings. Let me tell you how happy she was to be biting into meat when he started eating the Chinese food at home. - We spent over 30$ and were not comped anything. No free soda, no free egg roll, nothing. Normally you spend 10$ at most Chinese take out places and they at least give you a free soda. - They make you pay right after you place the order in store. Usually you pay when the food is ready. Considering they mess up orders, this is unacceptable. Also, when we asked for an itemized receipt, we were told to wait until the food was ready. Excuse me? You are asking me to pay and I want to see the itemized receipt. This is a problem how? Avoid this place like the plague. read more

This a perfectly so-so Chinese take out place with a small seating area. I was given the wrong item on my order. I only ordered 3 items- hot and sour soup, spring roll and chicken with mixed vegetable. Despite my going over my order on the order form both visually AND verbally, I was given chicken with broccolli by mistake, which I really hate. Of course I discovered this after I got home. Now how hard of an order was that, really, very aggravating. The soup wasn't too great, ended up throwing half of it out. Spring roll was tasteless and very greasy. Always consistent, always delicious...I usually pick our food up, so we have little experience with delivery times. Love the Szechuan dumplings. The General Tsos chicken is saucy and flavorful. I've been to First Wok over 30 times since it's local to my area. Never had any problems. Service is courteous, and food is served up hot and fresh. Never have been asked to pay until food is ready, so I don't know what the one review was talking about!!! Our usual is chicken with mixed vegetables in a brown sauce, pork Lo Mein, and sesame chicken. The food is good. No, not the best I've had but nothing to complain about. Never disappointed with any order i have ever gotten from there. Quick delivery always

Accidentally gave the delivery driver way more money than I should have when I miss heard the cost. Instead of giving it back, the driver stole the money and lied about it when we demanded for her to return it. She argued that we gave her a different set of bills rather than the $20 that mysteriously disappeared into her pocket. She lied and then laughed, saying something in Chinese and walked away with the money. We have cameras at our front door which picked up how much we gave her and the $20 that she said she never had. So one way or another, it is going to the police since she couldn't just simply tell the truth and return the money. This establishment should expect to be contacted by the police and sued over the lie and for refusing to give back the money that was then stolen unless they return it and penalize the woman delivery driver who was caught on the tape. Thank you for the waste of time and for accusing our family who have been customers for YEARS, of being liars, and then making a joke of it. You will be hearing more from us unless that woman tells the truth and returns our money. We LOVE your food, but this woman shouldn't have gotten away with what she did and disrespected us. read more

If you have read my other reviews, you know I don't give 5 stars easily. A couple of months age, Cedar Grove lost Aloha, which I thought had great food for an unassuming local restaurant. I had my first meal today from First Wok. It was wonderful. I had a spring roll and sweet and sour shrimp. I can't eat bean sprouts and said so on their online ordering system. I got a filled to bursting spring roll which was crispy hot upon delivery. Just delicious. The batter on the sweet and sour shrimp was delicate, flavorful, and tasty. The shrimp, good-sized, were clean. Don't laugh, I have had some shrimp in better restaurants that were not. My husband had some food without me last week and said he loved it. When restaurants try like this one does, it deserves a try. I hope your experience was like mine. read more

Standard Chinese joint. I've never had any issues with the food. Its always hot, fresh, and tasty. Some of the best BBQ boneless ribs I have had, and they take orders on weekdays until 10ish. My only quarrel is that they charge $.50 for gas for deliveries, and I live around the corner (yes I'm lazy). The guy walked to my apartment once and I was still charged.
