I placed an order ($135 worth of food) to be delivered. The order was placed at 6pm, at 6:40 I received a text saying my DoorDash would arrive at 6:55. At 7:10 a non english speaking man showed up with food from Wendy's! When I told him that was not my order he looked at me dumbfounded, took a picture of the order, sent it to the DoorDash app and left with food. I immediately called PF Changs and spoke to the manager. He apologized for the mix up, said my order was still at the restaurant and assured me that a new driver would pick it up and deliver it to me. He also assured me that a new order would be placed so that I wasn't receiving cold food. Well, at 8:25 I called PF Changs to see what the hell was going on because I still had yet to receive my food! This was supposed to be my families dinner and instead of food all I got was a run around! Asked for a refund and placed an order with a local pizzeria!! read more

Nostalgia ends here. Pitiful amount of beef in the Mongolian Beef. It does not come out as crispy as it used to. So today I ordered it extra crispy. It came out with the texture of a boiled beef. It's definitely not what I used to look forward to. The egg roll was cooked very nicely and came out crisp. But the filling had an odd taste. It wasn't bad, but I'll get the veggie egg roll next time. The ribs were good. Another table ordered the honey chicken and it was a much better portion. The waiter was very cool. The staff were nice and speedy. The service was better here than at some expensive steakhouses in Jersey. Perhaps the rating should be more than 1 star. But that Mongolian Beef has descended into pitifully meager portions. I guess I'll just have to look up my old copycat recipe. It comes out better at home anyway. read more

Paid a visit with friends to the PF Changs after a long time. Glad we made a reservation as there was a short wait. We were seated right away, service was pretty prompt. I had received an email for $20 off a $40 purchase so I figured we hadn't been to a PF Chang's in a while so let's go... I read over their menu online and saw they were offering a Special Chef's Feast Menu for 2 starting at $39.98 and you can combine the offers so that's perfect. The special includes a cup of soup or house side salad, one appetizer to share, and one entree per person w/ a side of steamed white or brown rice. You can do different upgrades at an additional charge. So we went with a cup of hot & sour soup and a cup of egg drop soup. My husband liked his hot & sour soup because he likes spicy food. I had the egg drop. I've actually never had that before because I just didn't like the looks of it. I normally eat wonton but that wasn't one of the options offered. It was actually pretty good. It had a good flavor and I would eat it again. For our appetizer we had the Chicken lettuce wraps. This is one of my favorites and I always get this if I see it on a menu. They were delicious and the chicken was very flavorful topped off with sauce provided. For our entrees we shared the Mongolian Beef $4 up charge, and the Crispy honey shrimp $3 up charge with white rice Both entrees were delicious... We had plenty of leftovers to take home and no room for dessert. You could also add on a dessert for an $8 up charge. I really wanted that Great Wall of Chocolate Cake... maybe next time. It did take a while to get our waters refilled and to get our check because our server was also the bartender even though we were sitting at a table but she was quite busy making drinks. Came at our designated reservation time and seated immediately. Justin was our friendly server. Cocktails: Started out with Lunar Elixir & Coconut Mojito! The Lunar Elixir is on the sweet side. It reminded me of Bazooka Bubble Gum. The Coconut Mojito was definitely the winner. Appetizers: Crab Wontons were just okay. Could've used more crab. Entrees: Salt & Pepper Prawns & Chang's Spicy Chicken. Both entrees were very good. The Prawns were nicely seasoned. However, the Spicy Chicken edged out the Prawns. We had white rice for sides. I have been to this location a few times and Weil. It's never been great. It's usually OK. This last visit was by far the worst. First, we were sat at a dirty table and a half empty restaurant. We ordered three dishes one was completely wrong where we got shrimp instead of chicken. We had a Mongolian beef that was completely overcooked where the edges were crisp on the beef turning them into strips of leather. And a chicken teriyaki, which actually was good. So one for three. Also, they brought us the wrong Rice so while we had to wait for the rice to come, the entrées sat there and got cold when we brought up the fact that the entrée was the wrong one. All the server said was that's really odd. No sorry no compensation nothing. All I can say now is I'm done. I will never return to this location and I strongly advise if you're looking for something to eat go elsewhere cause clearly they don't care. read more

My first time at PF Changs. Did not have high expectations especially on NUR. But we had a great dinner last night. Started with cocktails which were excellent. I don't mind paying a lot for a specialty cocktail as long as it has alcohol. Rising Dragon, sangria and Japanese old fashioned all excellent. Edamame and lettuce chicken wraps for appetizers. Both were very good. Mongolian beef was the best entree. Beef was perfectly tender and flavorful. Changs spicy chicken was not spicy at all. Definitely needs more heat. For dessert we had key lime pie (very good) and coconut/pineapple ice cream was a delightful end to a wonderful meal. Service was excellent. Our server was Julio and he was outstanding. Three star only for the food - the flavor is delicious. The service on the other hand needs lot of improvement. Not having your front person greet you when you arrive at a restaurant is crucial. We were not greeted just as many other customers. Then we asked to be seated in a booth (as we were only two) and it was a flat out "no". Our waiters kept pasting back and forth and saying sorry for his lack of attention. A big chain restaurant like this shall have more trained staff. The service needs to be on point because even though the food is good, people always remember how they are treated. The servers were all over the place too. Not sure if it was just our impression, but it seems to be a disconnect in the overall service staff - lack of detail and attention. I've been coming here since they opened long time ago. In a nutshell, things have been going down hill little by little and this is probably going to be the last visit. First off, service was OK. Obviously there's always room for improvement but as far as chain restaurants go, it could be worse. The food is the issue. Well, let me start with drinks first. They did not have Asahi and Kirin. So I went for hot sake which is the same big box sake that all restaurants have. Waiter said they just ran out but will have more soon. Little later waiter came back with the sake from "new" box. When I took a shot, it was completely watered down. When I raised the concern to the waiter, he didn't seem surprised and didn't offer to bring replacement bottle... which is bit suspecious. I want to give benefit of the doubt and say maybe there was water in the bottle before filling it... One of the item we ordered was egg rolls. As soon as my wife took her first bite, she said it tastes funny. So I took one to give it a taste but immediately stopped when I got a big wiff of rotten smell. We checked again and it was totally gone bad. How they can miss that in the kitchen is beyond me. No quality control and anything that can affect my family's health is not acceptable anywhere. I kindly let the waiter know who immediately brought a manager which I also let her know as well. She asked if I wanted something else and I told her that I will think about it. She never returned after that. FYI, Kids Lo Mein was way too salty/soy sauce for kids to eat. Our family enjoys eating at PFChangs but I don't think we'll be returning to this location. First time back at PF Chang's in a while, and I was thoroughly disappointed. Still pricey but the food isn't as good as it used to be. Generally speaking it is bland. The Mongolian beef is still a winner all the way around. The combo fried rice wasn't as tasty as it used to be - light on the soy/typical American fried rice flavor - but it is still very good. The orange chicken wasn't as tasty as it used to be. Maybe they don't use msg or as much salt anymore but honestly a little salk and it might have been tastier. It wasn't terrible, wasn't tasteless. It just wasn't as pleasantly orange-y as it used to be. And wasn't as crispy as it used to be. The pad Thai though - ugh. How could pad Thai have literally zero - I mean zero - of its signature tamarind flavor?!? It barely tasted like ANYTHING let alone not like pad Thai. Most unfortunate. And finally I get why you have to ask for the sauces on the side now, but damn they need to learn how to make the mustard... it was like mustard water. read more

Willowbrook PF Chang's seamlessly mixes old favorites with new offerings ! Each time I come, there is something new like the Northern Style Ribs appetizer. There are also my old favorites like the Crispy Honey Shrimp. I love the cocktails, too! This time I tried the Asian Pear Mojito. I would definitely order it again! I didn't forget to splurge on the pan fried dumplings! I can't wait to see what the chefs add next! As always, the service was exceptional! The pandemic really hurt a lot of restaurants and at P.F. Chang's, it was no different. There was literally maybe 3 staff working on the floor and service was super slow even though there was only one half of the restaurant being used (I am sure due to such short staff). When we sat down, the plates that were already on the table, were sprinkled with residue, which was unsettling. However, our server was very nice and tried to be as professoral and diligent as he could with all the tables he managed. The food took quite some time to be delivered but the cocktails were tasty. The food was decent and the sushi rice was soggy and broke apart easily. Being my first time here, the overall experience was pretty disappointing. This PF Chang's is formerly part of Bloomingdale's and is an interesting use of the space. It has an exterior exit but from the mall it's accessible through the store, and there's a takeout counter so that's helpful Inside, I would say since the space is smaller, it's more tightly packed and less elegant as the one I've been to before. The bar area takes up about half the space and the tables are very close. Our waiter said it was his first day, so I cut him some slack and he did have to go get answers to our questions but he was helpful getting them. The food is really tasty if not possibly a little over-sauced. It's not entirely filling which is why they give so much rice but as far as meat dishes it's a little light on the meat for the price of meals ($16-23ish). I had a coupon on my phone for signing up for their users, and then they have to right down a 10 digit member code, then on the bill the code wasn't applied. I guess they didn't write down code right, and it's a dumb system (should be able to scan something or anything more high tech) but then it was a whole thing to get the manager to take off the lower coupon and use the higher one, so it seemed to be a bigger hassle than it should. We also had to ask for fortune cookies, which I think are sweeter than typical take out ones, but I don't think they should be on request. Overall, this isn't a bad option if you are at the mall. Cheesecake Factory is always packed and you may want something higher than the food court. read more

My husband and I had Saturday night dinner here and thankfully there was no wait! We ordered the Dynamite Shrimp and Filet Minion Dumplings for appetizers. The shrimp was pretty good, not a lot of shrimp unfortunately. The dumplings were veryyyy good with a little fire show hah! It's a newer menu item our server suggested and glad she did! For our entrees we had the Kung Pao chicken which my husband loved and I had the sesame chicken which I loved - with a shared fried rice (hard to mess up fried rice, we liked it, snap pea take over though). The kitchen was backed up, so it took a while for our food to come out. The staff (manager, food runner, and server) were all very apologetic about that and attentive in acknowledging it, but we were in no rush at all! Totally understand that on a Saturday night! We were out and about in Wayne and spotted PF Changs. I'd been to the PF Changs in Syracuse, NY some years back and the food was good so I was looking forward to giving this a try. When we walked in we were a bit confused. No one greeted us and we weren't sure if we should take a seat or wait. After a couple of minutes of not knowing what to do, we opted to grab a menu and walk over to a table. One of the employees walked up and greeted us at that point. She showed us to our table - a slight bit of a rocky beginning in their establishment. I looked at the menu and knew exactly what I wanted. My friend always takes much longer. My friend's diet is much more restrictive - following an alkaline diet and therefore most restaurants can not accommodate that style of eating. The waitress -Anne was beyond patient, kind and professional. She went over food choices as my friend asked about mushrooms, leafy greens and other items their establishment offered. In the end the salad with button mushrooms, sesame seeds and a light fruit dressing was on point. My food was perfect. It tasted so good! A couple of men came by our table and the other tables to make sure we were happy (they came about 5 min apart). I believe they were managers...not sure of their titles. Wow! What a good first impression we had tonight. PF Chang at Willowbrook just opened on 1/21/19 if im not mistaken! But it was such a cold weather that day that we had to postpone dining in. So finally we were able to visit today. As expected Friday's are always busy. We came in at 6pm and was told the wait was 45 mins. It wasnt't too bad however, everytime the door opens, you get blasted with cold wind during this winter season. The interior of the restaurant was very nicely done. The aqua blue walls were refreshing to the eyes and I appreciated that the restaurant was not too dimly lit. I prefer to see my food than just inhale it thank you. I noticed most, if not all, the staff there were very pleasant and attended to their guest very well. We were seated on a smaller booth for two and was served by Maria. One of the best services I've had in a while! She was very pleasant, attentive and what I appreciated the most was that she actually acknowledged that we were waiting quite a bit for our food to arrive. Way to go for service recovery right there! My husband and I felt very welcomed thanks to her. Now on to the food; like other PF branches ive been to, i've never been disappointed with anything from their menu. The kung pao chicken was nicely done. It does have peanuts just so you know and it gave the chicken some texture. The mongolian beef was so good as well. Very savory and flavorful! The lo mein with shrimp also hit the spot. I've been wanting to eat good noodles since last week and this was heavenly for me. For dessert, we opted for the fried bananas just so its a little lighter. But that ice cream though! You can definitely taste a hint of coconut to it. It was very enjoyable especially when paired with those warm and crunchy rolls. I almost forgot, i also had the Blushing Geisha which was new on the cocktail menu. I thought it would be very citrusy because of the orange, but the sweetness and citrus was actually balanced very well. Overall, we had such a good dinner tonight. There is a big drink menu including cocktails and wine. The chicken and broccoli were tasty, the broccoli could have used some more cook time. The pad Thai was tasty, I got the combo chicken and shrimp and there was little added to it. The chocolate cake for dessert is a must! Delicious! Service was a little slow for restaurant to be empty.
