Wow is all my whole family and I can say after eating here. The food here is incredibly authentic and delicious, but you need to order the right things. I don't know how good the "americanized" dishes are, but the authentic chinese dishes were amazing and flavorful. I admit I do not know the specific names since my family did the ordering, but some of my favorite dishes included shrimp with cabbage, some long clam-like shellfish dish, and a beef tripe with celery cold dish. The mapo tofu and cold pork with garlic dipping sauce were also great. It is *very* difficult to impress my family but my family unanimously raved about the dishes. There is a huge selection of dishes from different chinese cuisines and they nailed all of them. Even my grandmother who grew up in the region that this food originated from loved it. This is truly a gem and honor to get a real taste of china, and I'm grateful I got to get a taste of my grandmother's childhood. Also they had some killer homemade pastries with red bean filling and purple yam filling. They weren't too sweet so my grandparents loved them too. The venue and tables were also very clean and spacious. While some say the service may be on the slower end, it really wasn't that slow and it was 110% worth it. I highly recommend this place if you want a real chinese experience.

First time there. Nice and hard working people. If you want or miss northern China food especially food from Shandong Province, this is the place you should go!

If you're looking for Northern China cuisine, this is the place to go for the Morris/Essex counties area. You won't find many of the authentic dishes on their menu unless you go to NYC or Edison. Their dumplings/jiaozi/gyoza is second-to-none. The staff is really friendly and I believe they truly want to serve the customers well. But therein lies the rub, the experience of the wait staff is not there, and the service level can only be described as inept, despite best intentions. Hopefully the service will improve over time, as they gain more experience. Or as more people discover this gem, their business will pick up and they can afford to hire more help. I've been coming to different incarnations at this location (we call it the panda house) for close to 20 years. The building is old, and its decor hasn't changed much since our first visit from way back. It's just gotten... older. I like hole-in-the-wall eateries and this place definitely fits that bill. So to summarize, I would give the food 4 stars, but the service and ambiance drags down the score. But as you seasoned eaters know, if you walk into a Chinese restaurant and only see Chinese customers in there, you know it's probably got something good going on.

Let's start by saying this is authentic Chinese Food, not for the feint at heart. We ordered a few dishes and brought them home. Let start by the Fish and Shrimp dumplings, really delicious. The Hot and Sour soup, my all time favorite, yummy yummy. Now for the main courses. Appetizer of Rice Jelly Salad, don't be afraid by its name, it was really really good, kind of spicy.Minced pork with sea Cucumber, I didn't think I would like it, man that was delicious, next came the Fish Filet with hot and spicy peanut, true to its name it was HOT and Spicy, with lots of peanuts, and truly delicious. The owners/chef could not have been any nicer, as we were waiting, they served some delicious hot tea. She also gifted us with some sweet buns , can't recall the name. This food was authentic, just like being in China. Don't be scared, they still have " Chinese American Dishes. I would most definitely go back anytime.

Went here for lunch today. We were amazed at how good it was. This is truly an authentic Chinese Restaurant. So if you are a fan of places like PF Chang then this is not what you will find here. We ordered quite a few things off the menu because it was so hard to choose. We started with a cold dish, Prok and Cucumber salad. It was one of the best things we have had in a long time. The dressing was delicious, very garlicky. Then we had a huge bowl of Hot & Sour soup. It was one of the best I have ever had. Very spicy, just the way we like it. Then my wife had a Lamb dish that was excellent and we ordered the Pork in Garlic sauce. Both were wonderful. Needless to say we came home with a lot of leftovers, but we will be enjoying them for a day or two. We will be going back here for sure. There is a crab and lobster dish on the menu we really want to try and they have a whole grouper dish that looked really good. For COVID - They have outdoor dining area as well as limited indoor dining available. So if you like real Chinese food GO HERE! You won't be disappointed.

We went for the first time Sunday at like 3pm? Full. Take out orders flying out the door. It's a cute place. Standard strip mall aesthetic. But they do have a window where you can see them hand pulling the noodles. That's right, hand pulling the noodles which is the main attraction. The food is from the North Western part of China near Pakistan so there are some Indian influences like their Cumin lamb and pulled noodles one of their most popular dishes. But I'm getting ahead of myself. With my vegetarian wife who as usual ruins everything by insisting we order vegetarian appetizers. Scallion pancakes were delicious. No pictures because we ate them immediately. Pan fried dumpling. 9 of them. That's a big portion. And it was like 9-10 bucks? They make their own dumpling wrappers, their own dipping sauces. Dumplings were very good. You could really taste the vegetables. Focused on the quality of the ingredients. My wife had the hand pulled noodles in hot oil. Marked spicy it was American spicy. Did not blow your head off. O enjoyed them. They give you a pair of scissors. Because it's one long noodle. Do not use them on your birthday. More on that later. I had the aforementioned cumin lamb and pulled noodles. I liked it but it was overwhelmingly cumin flavored which obviously is the point of cumin lamb. I'm not saying over seasoned I'm just saying it announced itself as this is cumin lamb. Period. We also had bubble tea! How fun is that? My wife had taro which they made with non dairy milk for her. I had pomegranate with exploding bubbles. Never had those before. Also super fun. They did not explode in an American way or even a Chinese way as both countries let's face it are pretty well known for making things explode. No in a pleasant way. Waitress was delightful we had obviously a long conversation about the food and the restaurant. The scissors are for Americans who share their food. In China you would eat the noodles slurp them without cutting them because eating long noodles especially on your birthday is supposed to promote a long life. We did not learn this until after cutting my wife's noodles. It was her birthday. I will miss her but also look forward to meat based appetizers. One door closes and all that. They also own the bakery a few doors down. Very light chiffon style cakes. Not too sweet. Chocolate Oreo cake. I asked if that was very traditional. Oh how we laughed at my hilarious joke.

The dumplings were flavorful, hot, and perfectly steamed. They were definitely the highlight of our meal. Next came the beef pancake which was crunchy, chewy, had excellent flavor, but slightly heavy on the sauce. Lastly, was the braised beef noodle soup. The broth's flavor was on the mild side, whilst relying on the spice's heat to shine as the primary flavor. The beef was also mild, but especially tender. There was also a good amount of proteins in the soup and the hand pulled noodles were perfectly thick and chewy. Overall it was a great dish for a chilly night out.

It's sort of Flushing very West. Often we are among the few diners who are not Asian. Food is excellent, authentic and reasonable. Yes I said reasonable. Quantities are large and often you take home leftovers for tomorrow. The kitchen is very accommodating to vegetarians, or just don't eat some food like pork and those who want less spicy food. Great dishes - I go with several mostly adventurous eaters so here goes - Cumin Lamb, Dan Dan noodles, Beef and Tripe with Chili Sauce (true confession I love tripe), Hot and Sour soup, Hunan Fried Fish with Spicy Sauce, Hunan Whole Braised Fish and Sichuan Mapo and Sichuan Fried Fish. One absolutely wonderful dish is Eggs with Tomatoes, which is sort of street food in China, as well as in many other cultures. It's simple and delicious. I've taken to making it at home using a New York Times recipe. But don't think the "regular" dishes aren't prepared with the same care and aren't as tasty. They are. The setting is pleasant and they have several tables with Lazy Susans so you can swirl food around. Service is prompt and quick. And if you get a dinner, you get ice cream!
