After years of being a loyal Sprinkles customer, I wasn't sure where to turn when they closed. My hairdresser recommended this place, so I decided to give them a try and picked up a few dozen cupcakes for a last-minute event. The service was phenomenal. They could not have been nicer or more accommodating, especially with my last-minute request. And the cupcakes were absolutely delicious--moist, flavorful, and a huge hit with everyone. The location is also super convenient, right off the 5 near the Spectrum, with plenty of parking. So happy to have found my new go-to cupcake spot read more

Stay away from this place if you're planning to place a special order for an event. Apparently, they no longer accept special orders, yet the option is still available on their website. I was first told by an employee that they couldn't place the order over the phone and that I needed to submit it online. Following his instructions, I placed the order online, only to be told afterward that they no longer process special orders. Unfortunately, by then, my order had already been submitted because I trusted the information I was given. I was also told I would receive a refund, but later found out that only a manager could authorize refunds. It was frustrating to realize that I had been given incorrect information multiple times. And OMG the manager's attitude. Instead of being apologetic and listening to my concerns as a customer, she came across as rude and defensive. I simply suggested that if employees are providing incorrect information, management should review those conversations and ensure proper training before allowing them to handle customer inquiries. Overall, the experience was unprofessional and stressful. If you're ordering for a special event and need reliability, I would strongly recommend going somewhere else. Hard pass. Walked into the store and was hastily greeted and they didn't have the daily flavors in stock, only the cupcakes sitting uncovered at the front. I picked the raspberry lemon cupcake, for them to give me the obviously cracked cupcake. When I bit into it, it was dense and hard, almost like a muffin. It tasted worse than a muffin, actually. The lemon was too sour and the raspberry flavor was barely there. I would not recommend anyone who wants to compare these cupcakes to Sprinkles. read more

Oh how disappointing! After a large meal, close by, this cute little shop caught our eye. We love a good cupcake, so we bought a 6 pack variety of mini's to take home. The young man helping us was very bored, and though he answered our questions, he didn't care if we bought something or not. We shouldn't have. When we got home I tasted the peanut butter chocolate one. No taste. No peanut butter and minimal chocolate. My daughter tasted the strawberry cupcake and it had no flavor either!!! Were we punked? I am extremely shocked that people have given this cupcake shop 4 1/2 stars. These cupcakes are by far the worse cupcakes I have ever tasted. I hate to be a negative Nancy because I love desserts and always love to give little shops their dues but unfortunately not this place. I had to run into the ups store next door so decided to stop in this cute little cupcake shop and bring home dessert. I bought 6 "Regular" sized cupcakes for $28! $28 for 6 ACTUAL little tiny cupcakes. They look like minis but are not. It seems like they were trying to make them super moist but all that moisture made the cupcake attach itself to the wrapper. Truly took away half the cupcake. (See photos) also because of this forced "moistness" it made the cupcake very dense. The icing is your typical sugary icing (not my fav) but understand most people like it. Save yourself the $28 and buy your cupcakes from Ralph's bakery. So much better tasting, bigger and cheaper unfortunately. Disappointed my kids on their first day of school. I have a pet peeve about business inconveniencing their customers. I was so excited to try this place as every time I try going they are always sold out but I was very disappointed :( i got the marble and strawberry shortcake. When I cut into it, I can tell the cupcake was not fresh and seemed as if it was stale. The cupcakes themselves were just okay. We finally spotted Dots Cupcakes yesterday as we drove around this plaza looking for parking, and we are so glad we did! My husband was a wicked sweet tooth and after we ordered some food across the lot, he was being pulled by the siren song of the illuminated Dots Cupcakes sign from across the way. We made our way over and the lovely manager Iva was kind enough to stay late to make sure we got our cupcakes! She was so warm and gracious and helped us pick out the perfect assortment of tasty cakes, I seriously think we got one of each flavor they had left! Every single flavor we sampled was delicious, moist, and packed with flavor. And not overly sweet, which is the best compliment I can give ;) We can't wait to come back and see Iva and hopefully sample some coffee next time and whatever other new flavors they roll out (they have new flavors all the time!) Dots Cupcakes does a great job with their chocolate varieties due to the moist texture of the cake. You can't go wrong with trying anything chocolate. My favorites are the following: Mostess - chocolate cake topped with chocolate buttercream and a familiar white swirl. Reminiscent of a Hostess cupcake but a thousand times better. FYI, only available Friday-Sunday. Chocolate Coconut - chocolate cake frosted with vanilla buttercream and topped with coconut flakes. Final touch is an adorable bear adornment. read more

The staff at this place is always so pleasant. The latest is, my wife and I stopped in to pick up cupcakes for her birthday. When I mentioned it to the young man working behind the counter (this was a Sunday afternoon) he offered her a free cupcake. Not that I always associate 'free' with 5 star service. And, he smiled and laughed with us during our chat. We really appreciated the kind gesture and said so to each other as we driving away. I was sure to tip him extra. I grew up eating these cupcakes from Pasadena and they are just as amazing as they were when I was little! This is a cute little location in Irvine that has a wide variety of flavors usually offered as well as ones that are special for the day. It's cool that they have a consistent selection of cupcakes for everyday because I feel like with bakeries, it's usually only what they decide to bake for that day. Shop was cutely decorated and clean and server was very friendly. There's some seating but it's more of a to go place than a sit down. We got 4 minis and I had the fleur de sol one. It was just as delicious as it was when I was younger. Chocolate cake and icing were perfect and rich. The caramel swirl with salt complimented the chocolate so well. It was very sweet but the mini was a perfect size for the amount of sweetness the cupcake offered. I tried more of the other flavors in another recent visit and they were all amazing as well. I do feel like the cupcakes are on the pricey side so this is definitely a place to go when I want to treat myself or for a special occasion. The minis truly are tiny, like a couple bites tiny. I get that they're gourmet and all but the price of 4 of minis was wild (~$11). We ended up trying majority of the flavors in mini cupcakes. All of the flavors came in mini and normal sized cupcakes with a variety of purchasing options. The cupcakes were so good that I wanted to go back for more when I had already tried most of it. I don't even have a recommendation to make on flavors because they were all so good!
