BEST SOUTH INDIAN FOOD - HIGHLY RECOMMEND I tried this place for the first time and really loved the food. I ordered Rava Onion masala Dosa and Madhurai Podi Idli - both the items were super amazing. I actually loved their sambar too. Guess what - i was surprised to learn that thus place is owned by a Punjabi and dosa and ildi are not South Indian dishes at all. If you are in this area and wants to have the best Dosas - this is the place to be. The staff was very pleasant, smiling which is not usually you see these days.

I was speaking to one of the residents in the building I work at about Indian food. Specifically vegetarian Indian food, I told him the Indians got vegetarian cuisine down, hands down no one even comes close. He told me I needed to try this place Dosa n Curry. So I found myself late that day wanting to eat before meeting a buddy for a cigar, and said let me give it a shot. Everything was delicious. Palak paneer my favorite. Sada Dosai Mango Lassi

Be sure to put this Vegetarian Fusion Restaurant on your list of places to visit if you're in the Somerville area. This is a great place to go if you or the people you are dining with have any dietary restrictions because they do a good job of explicitly stating what is and is not vegan plus what can be made vegan upon request. I'd never had Dosa before, but I absolutely loved it! Dosa n Curry had great portion sizes. My friend and I were both fairly hungry, and split the madras cheese dosa. We both agreed that it was absolutely delicious. We went on a Friday afternoon when there weren't many people, so it was quiet and a perfect place to catch up. The service was great and our food came quite quickly. I would highly recommend!

Hailing from a South Indian household, my standards are unreasonably high for a thali. This one did not disappoint. I was intrigued to see tofu in some of the sides... not authentic by any means but somehow I didn't mind! Was happy to share the experience with my girlfriend, whose first time it was having the cuisine. Taste: 3.5/5 Comfort: 4/5 Variety: 4/5

They no longer have a buffett so I went with theirThali with Masala Dosa (rice crepe with potato filling). Sides were: eggplant, cauliflower & potato, spinach and paneer, sambhar (spicy lentil soup) and vegetable ball in cream sauce along with fried dough in sugar sauce. Called on menu as Baigan Bhartha, Aloo Gobhi, Palak Paneer, Sambhar, Malai Kofta and Gulab Jaman. All the optins tasted good and it was served quickly.

I've been here for the weekday lunch buffet and have ordered from the regular menu for dinner. The lunch buffet is probably half vegan, half vegetarian options. For better vegan options, order from the menu (which has clearly marked vegan labels). I ordered the Aloo Mutter ($11.95) and my better half got the Aloo Gobi. Both were great! We ordered ours 'mild' but there wasn't really any heat in the dishes. Next time we're going with 'medium'! All curries are served with a plate of rice to share, which was more than enough for 3 people. Make sure to order the vegetable samosas ($3.95) - they're huge and so good! A lot of reviews here complain about service, but we had no major problems. It took a little while to get our check but we weren't in a rush and it was busy so no harm, no foul. So this place is one of the nice south Asian places. Their chai is good. Ive always tried their dosas, my suggestion would be a bit more seasoning and salt in their dosa fillings and chutneys. Their Papri chaat is one of the best. Ambiance and service is nice too. Finding parking has always been easy. Its right next to union square.

Best Indian I've had yet in Boston! Generous portion sizes and a large menu. There is also a separate Sikh menu.

Very much like their other locations but more casual style. Seated right away on a Monday night…read more Staff was friendly and your food is brought out fast. Thai ice tea - not overly sweet light and creamy after you mix it. Green Thai iced tea - more tea flavor shown thru this version i enjoyed this too! Larb chicken - amazing dish i really liked it, only comment would be maybe the minced protein toss some bigger diced chunks in too to soak up that cr*ck sauce! Basil chicken fried rice - spicy good flavor overall and chicken was plenty. I sort of was hoping they would have the signature like basil spice "glaze/sauce" they could do like other spots for basil dishes but they did not. It's good how it is though but if i was to get crispy chicken - def would need a sauce for my taste anyways. Red curry with salmon creamy extra spicy (you can choose spice level) salmon was cooked well in here and the flavor broth went so well soaked in the white rice! Bbq pork skewers - like your friends bbq where their folks went all out. Shoot perfect drinking food. Nampla chicken wings- really good fish sauce base wings! As a viet i love this style chicken wing. Glad we went with these over the fried batter version! Free shrimp crackers while you wait. Crying Tiger and their other sister shops all do well i feel. For your money, you get full and the foods good.

They have two sister restaurants, Thaiger Den & Phat Thaiger, & are all in the same area in Malden. We were able to get a table without reservations & no wait time. Service was very good; quick & efficient. What we ordered: -Thai Iced Green Milk Tea -Thai Iced Tea -Nampla wings -BBQ Pork Skewers -Chicken Laarb -Red Curry w/ Salmon (requested extra spicy) -Basil Fried Rice w/ Chicken The food is so good! I highly recommend this place if you like spicy. I requested for extra spicy for the red curry with salmon & I was pleasantly surprised that it tasted actually spicy! Many Thai spots I've gone to tend to not deliver the level of spicy I'm looking for, so I'm happy I was able to get it here. Salmon was cooked perfectly & the curry was delicious. We loved the basil fried rice with chicken also. Flavorful & had a nice kick. Chicken was not dry either! The chicken laarb was addictive to eat. It had the right amount of citrus & spice. Generous portion too! Nampla wings reminded me of nuoc mam/Vietnamese fish sauce wings. I personally found the wings to be a bit dry but the sauce it came with really helped. Good flavor though. Lastly, both the Green iced Thai tea & regular iced Thai tea were solid. Not the best but still good. I'm a big fan of Green iced Thai tea & not many places offer this. I always make sure to order it wherever and whenever I can find it! Overall, I'm so glad we were able to stop in for dinner at the Crying Thaiger. Their food is tasty & I recommend this spot to anyone who enjoys yummy Thai food & likes spicy! I would definitely come back again ;) Parking: street parking
