It had been quite a while since we had a good experience at a Taco Time so we were hopeful upon entering. They offered the standard menu we were familiar with. I've always liked their sweet pork offerings and opted to get the Sweet Pork Burrito. My husband favors their crispy meat and bean burritos, and this visit was no exception. We also supplemented with the mexi-fries. The food was typical, and hit the spot. The mexi-fries could have had more salt to make them better, but they were not too greasy so that was good. The disappointment was the price. We used to eat at Taco Time for less than $10 per person. Now the prices have increased to exceed the $10 meal if you get the combo meal and upsize the side and drink. I think I'll have to have a really strong craving to return to Taco Time again and overlook the costs.

Always nice to have clean bathrooms when traveling. Food was fresh, hot, and good. Prices are high but guess what? Everyone's prices are high now. I had to sign over a kidney for my meat burrito but the wife's bean burritos are still relatively cheap. Fountain drinks and fresh brewed tea. Solid choices.

I work in Elko and go to the same, albeit consistently quality places, for my lunch break. Decided to try Dos Amigos I called in for a chicken avocado salad- takeout. I show up to pay and they charge me 13$. Apparently there is a FEE if you choose to buy takeout so it's actually cheaper to sit inside and receive free chips and water than to get takeout opened the salad and it was quite petit. 2 half slices of tomato, two slices of cucumber, a couple morsels of chicken, cheese on a bed or lettuce. Honest to God, the chicken avocado salad at Wendy's is twice as good and half the price. I just think if you're going to charge 13$ for a salad in Elko, NV, it should be a decadent salad. I've never in my life heard of a takeout fee. Don't like secret fees when I go get food. I get salad all the time, and I can say that this is the most expensive salad in Elko, and one of the worst. read more

Tris is truly my family's favorite restaurant in town! The food is cooked fresh every time! My husband and I always order the Carne Asada and Prawns.. And it is always prepared perfectly! The queso dip is a must and the top shelf margaritas are excellent. I have never had a problem with the service. Everyone is always friendly and helpful. The Ruiz family really cares about their customers and go over and beyond expectations! Dos Amigos is always clean and employees are working hard. From the moment you step into Hacienda Mexican Grill, you're greeted with vibrant colors, the aroma of sizzling spices, and the kind of hospitality that feels like a warm abrazo from abuela herself. The space is clean, bright, and full of life, with a crowd that speaks volumes about the buzz surrounding this newly opened gem. As a vegetarian, I often brace myself for limited options--but not here. The staff didn't just accommodate me--they collaborated with me to craft the perfect vegetarian burrito, packed with flavor and heart. It's rare to find a kitchen that listens, adapts, and delivers with such care. ¡Gracias! My husband went for the tamales with a side of frijoles. While the tamales could use a touch more lard to hold their shape (a nod to tradition that would elevate their texture), the frijoles were a standout--rich, well-seasoned, and undeniably homemade. No canned shortcuts here, just the kind of soulful cooking that honors Mexican roots. Highlights: - Friendly, attentive staff who treat you like familia - Flavorful, customizable vegetarian options - Authentic frijoles that taste like they came straight from a home kitchen - A lively, welcoming atmosphere perfect for families and foodies alike Whether you're craving comfort food or looking to explore new flavors, Hacienda Mexican Grill is a promising new player in Elko's dining scene. I'll definitely be back--and next time, I might just try the enchiladas.
