The first time I went there with family we liked the food, service was nothing to write home about, probably because they were short staffed and it is always rush there. Unfortunately recent news article about the owner blasting the entire Indian and Chinese community for not paying enough tips to his staff, seemed very racial and prejudiced. The guy that served us was very cool and polite he warned us about the spice even if you think you can take it get like a 0-1 on the spicy Raman that is so spicy. Got takeout here for the first time with a few friends. When they got there to pick up the order, they were informed that orders are running behind and to wait in car. It took an additional 15 minutes before they could take the food home. Everything was package neatly and efficiently. We shared an order of wings with the Korean flavoring and an order of gyoza. A mild tasting dry rub was used for the wings which were significantly cooled down by that point. The gyoza was like any frozen and heated version you can buy in the grocery store. For ramen, my friends got the kimichi and tonkastu while I got the doragon (hellfire - original spice level). I wish I realized the noodles are different from typical ramen but the broth was still delicious nonetheless. It was apparent the ample amount of time dedicated to cook the broth to perfection as it had full body and flavor. Ordering it as original spice level was a great decision as my tolerance has significantly lowered lately. Overall, my friends and I were happy with our orders. One have the best authentic Ramen places I've ever tried. I ordered the chili hot based (Doragon) noodles with pork and let me tell you something... it was delicious! I highly recommend just level one if your claim that you can handle spicy. Trust me I recommend to not go beyond level one. The ambiance is simple and clean. The service was nice too. They just opened for dining in again. They had a new server and he was alright. This is our second time coming and our first time trying these 3 dishes. The miso soup 8/10, I personally prefer straight noodles but it came with the curly ramen noodles which is ok. The broth was good, I added garlic chili crips so the soup was a bit spicier. The tonkatsu broth tasted porky, which is good and it came with straight noodles. Both of them came with 3 thick pieces of porkbelly. They were kind of fatty but it tasted good. I love their ramen eggs, and I ordered extra which was so yummy. Their soft shell crab, 5/10. Too much breading very little crab meat. Kind of dry too so you'll need extra sauce. Overall, 7/10 experience. Get there early (like when they open) if you want to dine in because they fill up space quickly. read more

The only reason they're getting 4 stars is because of the food. The ramen is amazing but the service sucks. Several times I've ordered 2 bowls of ramen and had a wait time if 1 hour. That's fine, up until I get there when my order is supposed to be ready and they have me wait a minimum of 30-40 mins in addition to the hour! If you can order when they aren't busy go for it otherwise order 2 hours before you're ready to eat. After the fact; After management saw my review they actually called us and offered a sincere apology and an insight into what the issues were and talked of ways they are working to avoid problems such as this in the future. I am thankful for the call and really hope they can one day have service as good as their food. read more

I've been waiting to try this place for months and I have to say it did not disappoint. I've had ramen all over the San Francisco Bay Area and throughout Japan, so I've had my fair share of ramen and have learned to not compare every ramen place to Japan, but appreciate what each location has to offer. I can confidently say that this is one of the best ramen places that Ashland has to offer. The pork is on point and is the right consistency. The egg isn't perfect but it's hard to match the quality egg one would have in Japan. The broth for the doragon ramen was super spicy for me, but my girlfriend could drink up the broth without a sweat, so it really depends on your tolerance level. I didn't know that the spice level could be adjusted, and the option of any adjustments to be made to begin with wasn't evident on the menu or presented to us by the waiter. I can't deduct a star for what they lack, so I can only praise what they did well and how they can improve. I'll definitely be back. read more

Excellent and flavorful ramen. Really enjoyed the vibe. We had just got off the plane in Boston and drove to our hotel an hour out and had very slim pickings. It was beautiful weather and we decided to drive a little out of the way (approx 15 minutes from our stay) to try the place. It was our second stop as the first place we stopped didn't have anything we wanted. The Visit: after a long flight and drive we found this place in a very rural area. The place is small and there were tables outside so we thought we'd have to sit outside, but we were wrong. As we walked in we were greeted by a host and seated quickly. The place is small but there were two other tables taken. We glanced at the menu before deciding we wanted a spicy ramen and wings! Yes they have wings! We chose the first flavor (Korean dry rub) and spicy Tonkatsu ramen. My Tonkatsu was so flavorful and just the right amount of spice, flavors I never experienced before. This was definitely a pleasant stop. Staff was attentive, food took a TAD long but it was well worth it. read more

Ok let me say I love the food here, per my previous review But the service was horrid last time me and my partner went. Most concerning to me was that they didn't have spoons to eat our food... at a ramen restaurant. The tables next to us which hadn't been cleaned up were full of spoons they could have rinsed for us. Our order was forgotten, they had to refire it and we waited 45 minutes to eat our spoonless ramen while people who got there after us were already on their way out the door. I had to get up to ask for my own napkins, and had to leave my seat several times for water since the waiters weren't coming by. The food was good but the service was abhorable for a Wednesday evening while they only have 6 tables filled up and two servers. That being said the Doragon Miso Ramen is amazing and hits the spot every time. read more

No complaints here in the Noodle City. I had the Doragon ramen and it definitely has some fire. I wouldn't recommend if you don't have a tolerance for spice. But if you do, this bowl is worth the try. The ramen was tasty. Had a perfect portion of soup, noodles, and pork. Spicy with a portion of corn thrown in, it was truly a matchmaker. My wife had the miso ramen and she enjoyed it as well--although it was a tad bit salty she thought. But overall no complaints. Noodle city is definitely in the middle of "no where" if you never been to Ashland. Located right next to Mexico City restaurant. The sign is hard to see in the dark with no light on their signage. Didn't see their sign on the front plaza sign either. Ample parking here as well so you don't need to deal with the parking in Boston. If you're getting off 495s, the location is about 5 miles in. Across the street from Honey Dew donuts. Easy drive though. Cheers and noodle on. It's the perfect time for New Englanders now to get some soup and noodles. read more

I used to LOVE this place. I understand the pandemic hit a lot of places hard but Doragon really screwed themselves. The hellfire levels no longer exist. It's one level and then like $6 for a small side of spicy sauce. Originally the ramen was like $17 mins and add ins like a dollar. I added an egg and it somehow came to like $25. I just usually order an Elderberry iced tea with sugar syrup and pASSIONFRUIT boba but they said they don't have that anymore? So I had an elderflower lemonade.... It was straight lemonade. The price was crazy. And the guys in the front had no clue what they were doing. They put tap water in someone's drink they made. Too expensive for all these unfortunate changes. read more

It is fitting that the former Noodle City is now known by its namesake, the Doragon Ramen. This ramen is worthy of having a restaurant named after it. The thick chewy noodles have an amazing mouth feel, and the spicy broth has a power that could kill any cold. I once tried the level 3 ramen when I had a cold, and though I wouldn't attempt it again, it was highly effective! For a comfortable spice level I stick with level 1. The sweet corn balances the spice nicely, and the chashu pork belly is deliciously tender, but one day I will have to substitute for short rib to see how they do with that. Their chicken wings were juicy and plump, though the Vietnamese sauce was not as caramelized as I had expected. There are several other sauces and dry rubs that sound delicious, and I will be sure to try them. read more

I recently got take out from Doragon Ramen. They have easy online ordering. This is one of the nicest Ramen places in Metro West area. I tried their Kaeng Khiao Wan - Green Curry Ramen with chicken. It was delicious and portions are huge. I got this green curry with some rice noodles. They pack green curry broth and chicken, veggies, noodles separately which I think is a good idea. Rice noodles can be sticky. You would need to pour the entire Green Curry broth and then noodles would separate. I definitely recommend this place if you are craving for good ramen :) read more
