Sadly the food quality has been on a steady decline since Covid. Their chef must have moved on. Spicing has become much less complex and interesting, many of the dishes (pad Thai for example) have gotten much sweeter. I've been visiting Krua Thai for the last couple of weeks as I've been working through their menu. The food is delicious and the curries have just the right level of spiciness. Their main business is takeout. It's a small restaurant (seats about 20) in a strip mall. There are only five spaces in front, but plenty of parking in the rear. The service is great and the hostess is amiable and attentive. Other reviews have mentioned that they don't have customer restrooms. This is not true. The restroom is in the back next to the kitchen. It is small, but clean. A congenial, if intimate, place for a meal. read more

krua thai was pretty good! i got take out and ordered the tofu pad see ew - the portion size was good, but they gave slightly less than other thai restaurants. nothing on their menu is more than $20, which i find amazing (especially nowadays). the restaurant is quite small but it wasn't too busy when i went around 7pm on a weekday. they don't have a bathroom for customers. service was quick and their employees are very kind. overall rating: 8/10 read more

It's close to Thai food- I mean the fish sauce was overpowering so much to make it inedible. There was a curry in the red curry- no cream, no spices. The pineapple fried rice had the distinct flavor of dirt. Fried spring rolls were over fried and filled with a paste of unknown origin. I won't be going back. read more

Krua Thai is a small take-out oriented Thai restaurant. There are a couple in the Natick/Framingham region, and I think they are the best one out of the various competitors. It's a small restaurant so there isn't much space to sit in, but when I have dined in (pre-pandemic), the service was always friendly and attentive. Most of my experience with them has been takeout, and their food is always fantastic. Their noodle dishes and curries always travel well, and while the portions are fairly generous. Krua Thai hits the spot when you are looking for local moderately priced Thai food. Their paid Thai is the best we've ever had and we're always craving their dumplings and crispy chicken wings. They could be a little more generous with the portions, but their flavors and homemade sauce pairings are delicious. Cute, clean and very tiny place that I stopped by for dinner with my boyfriend on a Saturday evening. Lots of people stopped by to pick up their dinner while we were eating, which definitely speaks to their popularity! The food is good and the service is fast and friendly. You can also see the cooks in the kitchen, which is cool, and I liked the mellow music they were playing. I had the chicken Penang curry, and bf had the Krua Thai fried rice. We also had fresh shrimp rolls for appetizer, which comes with peanut sauce and chili sauce. The rolls were tasty and fresh, and the sauces were delicious too - the chili sauce was sweet with a sour kick! My Penang curry was spicy in a warm way (1 chili pepper on the spicy eating in the menu), with a full flavor. The chicken was tender and I liked the vegetables in the curry. You do need to order the rice separately for dinner, though. I had enough to bring some home. The Krua Thai fried rice was really good with a comfy flavor! It's got a lot of sliced onions, so you can probably ask them to remove it when you order if you don't like that. We didn't order any drinks but I saw a lot of people having their Thai iced tea. Love this little restaurant! Had the Hot Wild Boar lunch special, which came with a side of fresh vegetables and rice. The pork was cooked in a spicy basil paste with egg plant, carrots, pepper.. spicy! My colleagues got the Pad Thai and really enjoyed it. Lunch sets here are a real steal (most below $10). Close by to Natick Mall (driving distance) without the high price of restaurants near the mall. Laid back, casual, and clean kind of place. Just a typical mom and pops restaurant, nothing fancy. Servers are friendly. Food selection isn't the greatest compare to other Thai restaurants I've been to. However, that just means they specialize with their food choices on their menu. Chicken basil fried rice is on the spicier side than I'm used to for a Thai restaurant but I like it. I don't know if she looked at me and think I can handle it or what but I pleasantly surprised I liked it. It's comparably spicy as how my mom makes Chinese fried rice at home. It's spicy yet taste so good so you can't put down your chopstick. Pad Thai comes with both shrimp and chicken. Delicious as well for the price they charge and the amount you get. Unlike many other Thai restaurants (nationwide), I liked how they weren't cheap with their shrimp in the Tom Yum soup but it was too sweet for my liking. A friend recommended KruaThai. We got pad Thai, Tom Yum soup, beef ribs and spring rolls. We have had worse Thai food, but this gave it a run for its money. The Tom Yum was actually sweet! It tasted like they put sugar in it. The pad Thai was pretty bad, being dry and clumpy. The peanut topping was done well, but the shrimp were a bit funky. The noodles (and lack of sauce) were really disappointing. The ribs were terrible; VERY overcooked, and way more bone than anything. The spring rolls were too dry and crunchy. I would say to go elsewhere if you are in the mood for good Thai. We were excited when our friend told us about it, but ended up very disappointed. read more

I was really excited to try this place but was a major let down for me atleast. We were 4 of us who visited. The apps were dpring rolls and summer rolls which were like every other thai place. The sauces were decent. Tofu triangles were ok as well. The 3 ppl in group ordered 2 veg dishes with tofu and their food was good and hence the 3 stars. You can see the food was fresh as the colors were bright and taste was also good and not that precooked musby one I got myself gaprow chicken and it was not good. Very bland and the basil leaves tasted undercooked and raw (hence the freshness in my.dish lol) but the sauce and seasons very under used and thendish as whole felt like a bland minced chicken with onions and peppers. Do not let the unappealing, tiny, shabby strip mall location deter you. Try this place! I was very pleased to see a well-run takeaway operation during the COVID-19 virus crisis. Printed menus are located just inside the door. Head back to your car and call in orders. Pick up at entry window. I ordered chicken treated as "Duck Choo Chee" and it was delicious. I also ordered my test-case items: "Tom Yum Soup" and "Chicken Satay." The soup was just ok, but the chicken was very decent. I would recommend trying other dishes, as I will. Incredible, quick, delicious and tasty! This place was a hidden gem, tucked away on a busy street in a small plaza. Upon entering you feel like you're at grandmas house. The seating is sweet and simple but that's the point. The food is the main centerpiece here and you will not be disappointed. The food here is just superb! It's delicious. It's always just right, and I'll keep going back. My favorites are the Jungle Beef and Summer Rolls, chicken satay, and my new favorite:Hunglay Curry. It's northern thai style as is the Jungle Beef. I guess northern thai is my new favorite Thai. The chefs here know what they are doing! You can go really high on the spice too.. Up to ten.. Watch out. This is mostly a takeout place, but there are a few tables there too for dine-in, but don't expect anything great from dining in. We do it and it's ok. The food is fresh and delicious. I ordered the Mango Curry with Chicken, it was outstanding, spicy, sweet and tangy. A great combo. I've been here a few times, and everything is always amazing. Pricing is reasonable. Service is prompt & friendly. Parking isn't too bad, a few spots out front of the restaurant. BUT THE FOOD. Nothing "decent" or "reasonable" about it....it's absolutely delicious!! So much flavor! I'm obsessed with dumplings, and theirs didn't let me down. Chicken satay is also a great choice for an app. Pad see ew was FULL of flavor, and the yellow curry dish was impressive as well. Second time at Krua Thai and definitely my favorite Thai restaurant in the area! They mostly do delivery/take out and there is a typically a longer wait for those services. Both times I've dined in were weekend nights and there were a lot of people waiting for/ordering take out. I appreciated that we were well taken care of and prioritized as we were dining in. Our food came out quickly and hot. The fried spring rolls are my favorite. So flavorful and the sauce that comes with them is delicious! I also like their shrimp/chicken pad Thai. The noodles are very thin, maybe glass noodles(?), but hold the flavors well and I don't mind. Their Thai tea is also delicious! Will continue to come back to Krua Thai! read more
