I've been a longtime customer of this boutique and have spent a significant amount of money supporting your business over the years. Because of that, I felt it was important to share how disappointed I was with my recent experience. Unfortunately, the atmosphere in the store has consistently felt unwelcoming. The staff rarely smile, seem bothered when customers ask questions, and often make it feel as though they are doing customers a favor simply by being there. As someone who genuinely enjoys shopping at small businesses and has chosen to support your boutique repeatedly, this has become increasingly discouraging. What upset me most during my recent visit was that I was shopping with my 12-year-old daughter, who urgently needed to use the restroom, and your staff refused to allow her access. As a parent, I found that incredibly disappointing and lacking basic compassion and customer courtesy. Dor L' Dor has changed. For years I was a loyal customer and found some of my most favorite pieces here. I knew that a shopping trip would yield great results, and I always walked away with a full bag. It was especially a great place to buy work clothes! The quality and selection has really just changed. Everything feels cheap, thin and see through. It's got more of a 'club vibe' than a work vibe. Flying Monkey Jeans are no longer in the $40-50 range, now they are $70 for a pair! Staff was also super unfriendly. The store employee had airpods in. Did not offer to help set me up with a room when I was lugging around a pile of clothes to try on (with no one else in the store). Maybe what's in style has just changed and I'm not stylish anymore?! In any case, I don't think there is another shopping trip here in my future. read more

An affordable gem in an expensive neighbor curated with some cute clothes that are not pretentious. A mix of what I would say to be a local Brooklyn style fashion boutique with Forever 21, there are a few pieces at this location that are super reasonably priced, and trendy. I purchased a black denim jacket for less than $20 dollars and a few tops that while aren't going to last me years and years, is a cute pattern and made with decently comfortable material. The girls that work here are eager to help you, and fitting rooms are now available for use. Love the clothes here! I was driving by & saw an outfit in the window & thought it would be great for my 50th b-day. Didn't work, instead I found a GORGEOUS WHITE HALTER JUMP (pant)SUIT, plus 8 other items! The buyer for this store chooses beautiful styles - sometime the cuts are strange & a lot of the jumpers are very short waisted - but the prices are reasonable, the sales fab! I went in today 5/13/24 around 5pm, I shopped around a bit and tried on some clothes, none really worked for me so I put them on the rack to go back, I went over to look at the bags and accessories and turned to show my boyfriend one, when I turned around both employees were standing at the desk shooting me the dirties f-ing looks I've ever seen, it made me feel so insecure and uncomfortable that I put everything down and just walked in out. The manager and staff were super disrespectful at this location. I have bought clothes from this store in the past and believe it was super over priced when the quality and durability of the clothes did not meet my expectations. I am done shopping here because not only are the clothes overpriced but the staff had been making rude comments and assumptions that I didn't have the money to buy anything there. They were saying it loud enough to the point were they wanted me to here and I have no respect or patience for that. I rather spend my money on elsewhere. I write this review while sitting in the dressing room. Not sure who is saying what, however, this type of conversation in earshot of the customers is inappropriate and unprofessional. This is what I hear... "I can eat pizza everyday" "I recently had the plain sicilian and it was soo good. "Do you like the buffalo chicken?" "Of course she likes chicken, she's Black." "I feel like if I said that it would be so wrong." Now, I was going to step out of the dressing room (which is right by the register) but I was entangled in a sparkly dress. There are two women of color working as well as three non melanin rich women. Manager, please inform staff of proper etiquette while on the clock and in the presence of customers. An employee also decided to dance to Fetty Wap in the store despite another urging them not to because there were customers in the store. I conclude that there were no managers among them because I'm sure they would have better regulated. That's my hope. read more

This is the second time I've shopped at this store, and I can confirm all the previous reviews about the terrible customer service. I wasn't greeted as I entered the store or asked if I needed help, but that doesn't usually bother me at stores as I dislike persistent salespeople. What did bother me was listening to a young woman (who stated she was the manager) that she hates people, "hates stupid people who come in asking for help to find something to wear," and that whenever someone comes to the register she has another girl ring them up because she "hates people." This was not a hushed conversation at the register- she was speaking VERY loudly. As I looked through racks near the register, they all began to whisper and laugh loudly. I can't imagine what they felt the need to whisper about after yelling "I hate people" throughout the store. I felt unwelcome and intimidated. I will no longer shop at this sore. There are many other adorable, affordable boutiques with kind and friendly sales associates in Summit, Westfield, Morristown, and Montclair. read more

I would give no stars if I could. I wouldn't suggest shopping here. The clothes are cheap and not the quality for their prices. Came in to return a too small bodysuit that I had received as a birthday gift (unworn). Was told that bodysuits are not acceptable for return- something that was never mentioned when it was first purchased as a gift (otherwise it wouldn't have been purchased). The young girl working there was very kind but there was a rushed attitude from the older store manager. I recommend shopping at Willow St down the road for a respectable, genuine shopping experience instead. read more

Although I have found some nice clothes in here, It did not surprise me at all to read the negative reviews about management. I was there today and while I was shopping I was listening to her complaining (loudly), on the phone about everything to do with upper management, hours, cut backs and all that she does for nothing. I finally looked over at her to try to signal that we all could her heard and she gave me the wtf look with the hand motion. She then went to the office which is a small cut out closet so while I was trying on my clothes I actual heard her comment about it, about me, to whomever was on the other end of the line. Whoever the sales girl is, she was very helpful and apologetic about the behavior. They are set up as a boutique style, in a great location, where we have money to spend, The manager may consider acting as if see is in the service business and hope not to offend shoppers with her crass manner. We can spend our money anywhere, but when we go into a store, part of the experience is customer service. They definitely need to provide coaching in that area. I won't go back. read more

Very cute stuff there easy shop to hop into to look around and find something you weren't expecting. Employees were not super nice. Trying on shoes took a while as upon asking for the size, both employees went in the back to look for it. They came out and gave us the shoes and after asking for a different size, she responded that the size was only in a different color, so we asked for the next size up. She didn't really respond she just took the last box and got a new one. She wasn't super rude or anything but could have been friendlier. The clothes looked very cute and we walked in. They had a very nice selection of cute, trendy clothes, accessories and shoes which were all at great price points. The staff was wonderful. Do not shop here. They do not abide by their store hours so if you are planning your schedule around their professionalism, you'll be disappointed. I have showed up SEVERAL times to the store being closed and their hours being clearly posted on the door. Let me start off by saying that this store is just okay- the clothes aren't even that cute but they r sufficient for the price they are being sold at. However, what I do not appreciate is how the manager, Christine, treats customers as well as her employees. I have shopped at this boutique several times and each time Christine was very cold and unwelcoming. On my first ever visit I heard her complaining to her staff about customers that left the second I came into the store (not to mention she probably talked about me too). She followed my friend and I around as if we were going to steal something and even yelled at us saying two people are not allowed in the same fitting room when I asked my friend to come take a look at the outfit I was trying on. On the second visit I was just browsing and unfortunately did not find anything I liked (the one thing I tried on was too big). Christine then proceeded to talk to her staff, very loudly, complaining about how annoying it is when customers come in and don't purchase anything- a statement I find rather ridiculous given she works at a clothing store where it is common for people to come in and browse. On my last visit to the store, I heard her yelling at one of her employees outside who started visibly crying. Not only was this appalling to witness, it was just unprofessional for the manager of a store to be yelling at one of her employees right outside where customers could come and go as they pleased, gawking at the scene Christine created. I just feel bad for the rest of the staff because they all seem very nice and helpful. It's really a shame. read more

I've gone to the store twice and both times not a hello, can I start a fitting room for you, nothing.I think its commen decency for you to at least greet your customers and not have your own conversations going on loud enough for your customers to hear. I usually don't do this but in this case I am forced almost. I used to be a very loyal customer and was extremely friendly with the staff especially the manager Christine. I would say we were friends. One day, however, I'm not quite sure what happened but I'm assuming she was in a bad mood but she made up very evil lies about (I'm a dog trainer and walker) how I treat my dogs. I will not get into detail because it's truly saddening. But I just want to say I love all my dogs and usually bring them in the store as she told me I could. One day however, I just wanted to shop around a little and put the two little doggies outside which is not a problem. I love walking into town with them. I'm not trying to dish out dirty laundry but this affects my business and the store itself. She screamed at one of her employees in front of other customers about me, telling lies. The customers even noticed and couldn't believe what they heard. Thank god I know a lot of people In town and was informed. She can get very rude and talks nasty about customers she doesn't like. I'm truly saddened by this but I have to let other people know what is going on. I will no longer shop there as I am just disgusted by the behavior. I have not purchased clothes here (although I have at the Hoboken location - good prices) but I had to write this review about a recent experience I had at this store in Summit. I went here on my lunch break yesterday to do some quick shopping and due to my being in a rush I accidentially left my sunglasses in the dressing room. The next morning, I called and asked if they had them and the girl on the phone told me yes and to come on over. I got there ten minutes later to be told that one of the other girls had "taken them" and she would "be right back" because she was just "getting them out of her car." I ended up waiting for 20 minutes. In that time it became clear to me that the employee had invoked the "finders keepers" policy and taken the sunglasses home, only to be forced to bring them back when I called. I find this completely inappropriate for an employee of a boutique with dressing rooms, where I'm sure I am not the first one who has left something behind. The decent thing to do would be to keep the subglasses under the cash register, at least for a few days, to be sure they are unclaimed. Because of this incident, I will not support this business, at least at this Summit location. read more

I came into dor l dor not knowing what I was looking for at all for a party I was attending over the 4th of July weekend. Honestly I wasn't even sure if I was going to buy anything since it was my first time trying the store. I'm not from summit and usually just go to the mall but someone recommended this place because of the helpful staff. Upon walking in I was greeted nicely and not too pushy which is key because I don't like to be bothered unless I ask for help. Once I asked for help Leti, I believe she is the manager l, came to the rescue. I asked what she thought of an outfit and she came back with about 3 more which were better than anything I could have picked. The most important part of this experience was my appreciation of how honest and real she was about telling me what looked good and what didn't. I will definitely be returning hoping to see Leti again when I walk in the door. read more

I had an unbelievably bad experience here. bought a present (sweater) before Xmas and was assured it could be returned for full store credit later. I called in January to see if they could get the same sweater in a smaller size to exchange. They called around and found it at another store and said they would call me when it arrived. I never heard back from them. I realized this a couple of months later and called again. They said the sweater was in fact not available so I brought it back to the store to return for store credit. The sweater was now marked down-- half price! They would only honor that amount. Hilariously, they asked if I could tell them the name of the salesperson I spoke to ( do YOU get the name of the salesperson when you shop??). I will NEVER go here again!! As the other ladies has posted the customer service is horrible. The sales girl seemed bothered by my requests and she also was more interested in engaging in her cell phone. She didn't ask if I needed assistance, I had to come out the fitting room and ask for another size. She zipped the dress and that was stuck and come to find out she damaged the dress (which I'm returning) another sales girl cashed me out but didn't take off the sensor.
