Anyone with foot problems or who wants the perfect sneaker should come here. This is a store that gives you concierge treatment. They start by evaluating your gate. Then they ask you what type of cushioning you like. Based on the discussion, they bring a few choices to try. The store doesn't offer budget friendly options but what is sold is high-quality. I have foot issues, and my sneakers have greatly alleviated my problems. I highly recommend visiting! read more

Needed a new pair of sneaks and really felt like I needed to up my game. I was hoping I could get some insight on what was and wasn't working for me with my current sneakers and find a pair that fit my needs. I feel bad because I didn't get the name of the man who helped me, but he was fantastic! He correlated everything that I was experiencing with my current worn out sneakers and worked with me to find a pair that would suit me. I appreciated the knowledge, professionalism and time that was taken to ensure that I found something that would work best for me; not just someone looking to sell a shoe or make a commission. I was thoroughly impressed with the service I received, especially from a running perspective. And the prices are as much as you would pay online for a new pair of sneakers, but with the bonus of real service, knowledge and care. Loving my new kicks! read more

I've been purchasing running / walking shoes here for over 10 years as a local resident. I am writing this because my experience today with Danny Spalt was extraordinary. I'm used to a particular Asics sneaker that is discontinued, and after a long and unhurried phone call, he had 3 substitutes ready for me today. There were 2 contenders, and the Brooks Glycerine were best for me on the in-store treadmill. If you're a walker or runner, Sneaker Factory in Millburn will make sure you're happy and comfortable at a great price. Highly recommend, especially when your feet, knees, and spine need to be considered if you want to run and walk in comfort. Thanks Danny! #givedannyaraise. read more

Sneaker Factory Running Center - Brooks Glycerin for comfort - Best. Other than Danny. - Sports Wear Near Me - Millburn, New Jersey

The truth is, there is very little difference between running stores. They all stock mostly the same stuff, as there are only about seven or eight major manufacturers of shoes and not too many more of apparel. They all charge full retail price, as their profit margins are very low. The only way for a running store to distinguish itself is with service, community support, or both. The Sneaker Factory really stands out in that way. Their club, based out of the store, is the most active in the area and is a friendly environment for both the most casual fitness enthusiasts and the most serious competitors. They also host local road races and are one of the few clubs that have both a newsletter and a web site with a forum. The store also seems to do its best to support local high school and college runners, involving some of the coaches. Few other running stores bother to carry a selection of track spikes, for example, as there isn't much of a market for them, but this is one of the few stores where you can find such things. read more

Love the sneaker factory! Great place for people all ages to get sneakers, not only running shoes. If you are a runner: this place is a must! It's amazing and comes with amazing things to offer including a knowledgable staff. read more

I stopped by to find a new pair of shoes that would help with my plantar fasciitis. I was immediately helped and provided with many options as well as really helpful information. I have used the shoes for about a week now and have noticed a big difference. I will definitely return to Sneaker Factory, not only were the shoes great, the customer service was amazing! read more

Every time I come in here, I'm regrettably reminded why I vow not to come back. The lone salesperson was waiting on two women, so no problem there. When I walked in, there was no greeting, no "Give me just a few minutes and I'll be with you," nothing of the sort. After waiting for about 10 minutes, and still no acknowledgement that I was even in the store, I up and left. Even then, crickets, no "Sir, give me a few and I'll be with you." This is why so many people I know say they're better off at the big box sporting goods stores. I get it...and that's right where I'm headed. Enough with this place. read more

I have a very sensitive feet, and since someone had recommended The Sneaker Factory, I decided to give it a try. Within a minute of entering the store, I was greeted by Mike, the owner. I was highly impressed by his level of knowledge about feet, foot problems, and the proper style of shoe that should be worn according to a persons foot and the way they walk. I could not be happier with the attention I received and the quality of the product I was sold. I paid a bit more then I would at a discount store, but it is more than worth it!! read more

Wonderful experience with Dylan today. Well versed & informed on MY needs. I will be trying out my sneakers tomorrow. I've never paid this much for a pair of shoes (sneakers) but if it's worth my back, I am game. Thank you Dylan read more

Wow, I couldn't believe my ears as I walked out yesterday. Neither I nor the sales person who helped me knew how to respond to what the owner had just said... Let me back track my experience a little bit: I was super excited to get properly fitted for and buy a pair of running shoes in preparation for my first ever 8k race. So I decided to check out this quaint specialty sneaker store rather than the mall. I walked in to find it pretty busy with four knowledgeable staff helping out everyone. My salesperson deftly assessed my feet, totally brought me up to speed on the basics of a good shoe and answered all my questions patiently and expertly enough. I never felt pressured for a purchase at any point, so after trying on 6 pairs I told them I needed to come back again (in proper running attire) to test-run the one pair that seemed to fit right. As I was thanking the sales person, I wanted to do further research on running sneakers and check out the reviews so I asked for the name and brand of the sneakers. That was when the owner overheard and quickly interjected, "We don't give that out. I don't want people going on the Internet and buying the sneaker somewhere else." Needless to say, that left a bad taste in my mouth and my natural inclination was to wonder why. Was this something he normally experienced? Were prices that much cheaper online? I'm not sure what prompted the owner to blurt that reasoning out loud. I mean, what kind of sales pitch was that?! I felt bad for the salesperson who helped me since I wanted to walk out saying, "Thanks for being an amazing salesperson, but your boss just loss that sale for you." read more

Great store! I came as my doctor referred me due to my feet issues. I was immediately greeted and asked if I needed help. I explained my issue and was brought over to the shoes, sat down and explained in detail about the condition I have, in the benefit of having good shoes is. I then stepped on a machine that showed me what is going on with my feet and where I balance, rotate etc. and they brought me out shoes based upon those results. The shoes were amazing! I could tell a difference right away. I bought a pair shoes and I can definitely say I will be back for another pair. read more

I wanted to get a pair of running shoes with limited time and didn't want to get overwhelmed by all of the choices the store offered. The sales guy gave me a choice of 2 shoes, I picked one after trying both on and boom I'm out the door. No phony sales lingo, no gimmicks, just upfront. The shoes sold themselves and they made it happen. I heard of this store from my wife and friends and they all recommended it. Registered on this site to make sure I gave the thumbs up for this store. read more

Extremely helpful and knowledgeable staff. Allows you to try on running shoes and take them outside for a jog through the little park next door. Great selection, and what seems like honest opinion from the staff about each item. read more

I came here 4.5 years ago after a friend told me about it and after reviewing it on Yelp. I bought a pair that didn't work out and went back to my older pair. Came back yesterday and was assisted by Mike, the owner. Not only did he suggest the best shoes for me on the first try. He also let me try them out for a jog down the block along with a about 10 other pairs. I figured I'd give this place another shot with all the great reviews. I'm glad I did. The service is amazing. My wife bought a pair as well. She knew he would get her the right shoes, which he did. read more

I came here yesterday to buy a new pair of shoes, and I am incredibly satisfied. The knowledgeable staff not only sized me and determined what kind of foot i have, but they explained their findings to me. I left with a pair of shoes that are perfect for my needs, as well as with an understanding of what those needs actually are! Another perk is that unlike many sneaker stores, they allow customers to take the sneakers for a jog outside to get an idea of how they feel running. I left feeling confident and happy with my purchase, and I highly recommend this store! read more

The Manager is NEVER available - if you need customer service, don't expect it. I purchased defective Brooks running sneakers from them (soles came off after a handful of wears) and they refused to even attempt to contact Brooks about it or do anything. I tried to speak to a manager but they are not there on weekends or weekdays apparently. I left a message and the call was never returned. Learned my lesson and will purchase from places that stand by their products. Agree with other reviewers who have noted they are SEVERELY understaffed. Have had to wait 20-30 minutes to get any "help" (even a hello from staff). read more

The staff at Sneaker Factory is very knowledgable about running gear. Please come in and tell them what you need and what's bothering you and they'll do their best to help. I had knee pain when trying to run more than half of a mile. The analyzed my gait and gave me recommendations. I bought two out of four and couldn't be happier - knee pain is gone. You do pay retail, but you get help upfront and support after the sale. Well worth it. read more

I have been to several shoe/sneaker stores in the area and never did I receive the professional service that was rendered by Danielle. To say I have terrible problems with my feet is an understatement. Danielle provided awesome knowledge about every brand and style in the store. She tried several styles and sizes on my feet until both of us were satisfied. Great place to shop! Best customer service ever! It's all here! Thank you, Sneaker Factory Millburn: read more

I have to say I was unhappy at first. I wear an eight and a half shoe size. I did not want a size nine. I'm 5 foot 5. A size nine shoe looks bad on me. I bought them. Threw them in my closet and thought " there is a sucker born every day and I'm one of them." My point is ... The guy that sold me my sneakers was spot on! I joined a gym and dug those sneakers out of my closet and they are the best running shoes I have ever owned! He told me that the size 9's were better for me after measuring my feet. One foot is a fraction over a size eight and a half. He was right. This guy was honest, ethical, and very knowledgable. Don't waste your time at foot locker or any other chain. Pay extra and get the right sneaker for you specifically. Great service! This place is a small business and reminds me why small business America is so great. read more

My feet and knees were aching from my gym routine. I went into the sneaker factory and they tried on many many different pairs of sneakers encouraging me to go outside and jog up and down the sidewalk. They ultimately fitted me with a pair of shoes that within a week had taken the pain in my feet and my knees down to almost 0. I won't go any place else for exercise shoes. Excellent service and I love supporting the local stores. read more

The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable, and the store has a great selection. They answered all my questions and helped me pick out some wonderful running shoes. I'm a total running newbie with unusual feet and a large shoe size, so I was very pleasantly surprised to find such a great pair of shoes! I'm very pleased, and I'm so glad to have a resource like this right here in Millburn. I love my new running shoes and I'm sure I'll be back for more. read more

If I could give no stars I would. Worst customer service I have ever had. I bought a pair of sneakers and a pair of socks from this place. I left the store and as I was driving home decided I didn't need the socks anymore so I turned around, went back to the store to return them and was told I could not get a refund. Are you serious? The only reason I go to specialty stores like this is for the customer service but you will find none here. Don't bother with this place. Go to a big box retailer where you can get the same products for a cheaper price. read more

This is the very best place that I've ever bought sneakers. Ask for the owner. He's extremely nice and knows everything there is to know about picking the right pair of shoes for you. I felt as if I was getting consulted by a doctor. I will buy my kicks here until they go out of business, or I die. Whichever comes first. read more

Excellent running store with very knowledgable staff and large inventory. They usually have what I need and make excellent recommendations based off of there experience as runners and time in the industry. The best experience i have ever had purchasing running shoes...ever. The owner mike and all the employees really know their stuff! They got my size and brought me 8 different pairs of shoes ( i didn't even ask he just brought them to me !) to try on that were right for my foot type and then had me run outside of their store and then rate each pair and we than narrowed it down to two of them...Mike helped me for about an hour...and we found the perfect pair for me. A+ service , great positive attitudes , great prices ..what more can you ask for? i will be a customer for life. They treat you right..not like just another customer that is in and out with a purchase..but with respect..they also ask the right questions so that they can help you get the right shoe..buying the wrong running shoe for your foot type and running style can really mess up your feet ( yes i'm talking from experience my last pair wasn't the right fit and i couldn't figure out why since it was technically the right size but the arch was too high for my foot type, mike pointed this out to me..) Thank you Mike and everyone at the sneaker factory in Millburn. One happy customer . Jake Antelis from Hillside NJ read more

Terrible Experience with owner himself!! Came in looking to purchase a cap and my mother around 80 years old wanted to buy colorful sneakers, as she usually wears black. My mom told the owner this, and he replied with "if you want to buy sneakers based on color go somewhere else" He said this in a very negative demeanor. I snapped back in protection for my mother. And the owner kicked us out of the store. I have bought lots of shoes here based on appearance and never had I been treated the way my mother was. Disgusting behavior. After this I was going to buy the cap, but the owner told me I wasn't allowed?? TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM OWNER HIMSELF. UNACCEPTABLE. DISGUSTING BEHAVIOR. AVOID THIS PLACE, UNTIL THEY CAN LEARN HOW TO TREAT THEIR CUSTOMERS WITH RESPECT. read more
