As much as I would have loved to submit a good review because the friendliness of the staff, unfortunately paying $250 for 2 hems to be done on a dress completely ruined the experience for me. Great tailor and really great masks that are made in store! I have been coming here to get my sweatpants hemmed (petite problems!) and appreciate the quality of their work and fast turnaround time. I came a few weeks ago and took a look at their masks that were thoughtfully made in store. They are by far the BEST cloth masks I have ever tried, as they are double layered, easy to breathe in, and 100% cotton. They have been holding up great in the wash, and I make sure to air-dry them. I get compliments on the beautiful patterns and am so glad they stay on my face comfortably. Looking forward to stopping by to grow my mask collection. I just had the most delightful, HONEST experience at the Tailors Wife. My husband's beloved Yankee jacket had a zipper that no longer closed. I thought I would have to replace the entire zipper for anywhere from $35 - $50 . Imagine my joy when Marco took out a pair of plyers and with 2 quick adjustments fixed the zippper at no charge!!!! The Tailors Wife is hands down THE BEST! Would double the rating to 10 stars if I could! I truthfully can say that I will never go to another tailor again and here is why - I was a bridesmaid in a wedding, where I was convinced to order a gown that was 2 sizes too big. I brought to my normal seamstress and had her fix the top portion which included an underlay and overlay that was see-through. I went back 3 times to my seamstress to have her tighten the under lining as it was completely see through and showed bumpy scrunched up material. Ew. I was assured that was just the dress and there was nothing else they could do. Frustrated and a week away from the wedding, I then brought to another seamstress to see if they could fix, but again was told that there was nothing that could be done to correct the bundled lining after they charged me $30 for a botched sewing job. In a panic (it was now Friday morning and the wedding was on Sunday, meaning I had to leave mid-day Saturday for the rehearsal) I called the Tailors Wife after a friend had recommended to me. They are 30 minutes from my home, but WELL WORTH the drive. They told me to come in that afternoon and I made it to their location at 3PM on Friday. Not only were they accommodating, they were too kind for words. They calmly and professionally addressed the problem quickly (they are EXPERTS) and promised me that they would do their best to fix this nightmare bridesmaid gown in record timing. I came back at 9:30AM Saturday morning to meet their seamstress who must have been sent to me from the heavens. She had to essentially take the entire top portion of the dress apart, refit to me correctly, realign, and steam/press for me in 3 hours. They pulled this off perfectly with 10 minutes to spare. I can not say it enough how amazing my experience was. This is my first and probably last yelp review, but didn't want this company to go without praise. Any garment is trusted in their hands. And the best part, the bride never found out that my gown was more custom fit than hers. read more
