I picked up a suzani coat thats lining was pretty hideous and poorly done, and got in touch with Andrea upon a friends recommendation to see if she couldn't use some fabric I'd been hanging onto with no clear purpose to re-line the coat and possibly make it reversible. Now the inside is so gorgeous I'm not sure the suzani side will see much of the light of day! Andrea is very professional in her craftsmanship and customer facing demeanor. I had a jumpsuit that just needed to be 2 inches shorter in the pants, and I found her via Yelp. She is very out of the way for me and I had to take a 30 minute bus ride, but I decided to go with her because she has not had any bad reviews, and made me feel confident in entrusting my garment with her. I texted her and gave her details about what needed to be done. Her rates are reasonable for the level of professionalism in her work - my pants are wide legged (14 inches wide), so she charged $35 for hemming, instead of the usual $25. She quoted a 3 week turn around because of the busy summer wedding season, but she squeezed in this simple job and I got my altered jumpsuit back 2 days after I dropped off the garment. The altered hem looks like it had not been touched at all, that is how good her craftsmanship is. Would highly recommend!!! read more

I first stopped by Moore Custom Goods because I work in the neighborhood and had torn my favorite pairs of jeans. I popped in to ask Andrea, the owner and proprietor, whether she also did jean repair. Since then, she has been my first stop whenever I do something dumb and wreck my clothing. She has added fabric to my raw denim to bike proof it, patched countless holes, hemmed pants, and fixed shorts with bombproof craftsmanship. Too boot, Andrea took the time to help me decide if my new suit fits! She even humored me when I tore my favorite (threadbare) t-shirt and spent the time to fix it up! Not only does Andrea do repairs, but she is the designer of many awesome pieces for men and women that fill her store front! It's worth a stop by to chat with her and take a look. I could not be MORE thrilled with the customer service and tailoring here. I brought in an one piece swim suit that I loved, but for horribly, and Andrea worked wonders on it. First off, I've never found a tailor here who can do swimwear. I brought in my bridesmaids dress yesterday evening after visiting TWO other shops who said they couldn't let out my dress to fit my chest. I don't know if those two other shops weren't experienced enough or just wasn't up to the challenge but I was discouraged and kind of offended. When I walked into Moore Custom Goods and explained what I have been dealing with and that I was desperate to find a shop that could help a girl out, they immediately were like "lets see what we are working with". Letting out a dress is probably more difficult than bringing it in (IDK what I"m saying. I am not a pro) but they didn't make me feel uncomfortable for having a large chest. They threw a couple ideas out and were like "okay cool, see you in a few weeks". The amount of professionalism was INSANE. I loved it. Having to loosen all your clothes can be a sensitive thing and can make people feel insecure but the two ladies I worked with yesterday were just amazing and made me feel good by the time I walked out.
