Andrea and her atelier are truly phenomenal. I feel so lucky to have found her for a very special custom alteration, and now I will be a customer for life! read more

I found Andrea through Yelp while looking for an alterations business nearby recently. Communication was quick and easy via Yelp, and the process was seamless. Her instructions on drop off and pick up were easy. Prices were fair, and the turnaround was faster than what she estimated (two weeks, but I had my things back in one). Wouldn't hesitate to recommend her for any alterations needs in Brooklyn. read more

I picked up a suzani coat thats lining was pretty hideous and poorly done, and got in touch with Andrea upon a friends recommendation to see if she couldn't use some fabric I'd been hanging onto with no clear purpose to re-line the coat and possibly make it reversible. Now the inside is so gorgeous I'm not sure the suzani side will see much of the light of day! Andrea did a great job reading the fabric to tell which part of the pattern should go down the spine and the outer arm. Couldn't be happier and will definitely be reaching back out again! read more

incredible service & work! Andrea made it so easy to communicate whaat needed to be done & when everything will be ready. pricing & timing was super reasonable and her work is AMAZING! i highly recommend if you meed alterations to give her a call!! read more

Great work done to hem my hat! The process was seamless and very quick). Believe the great reviews. Thank you, Andrea! read more

Absolutely love this store. I found some gorgeous custom pieces from here. Truly one of a kind. I still get compliments on them :). I was also able to tailor them on the spot since they offer alterations. The owner is usually in the store designing or sewing. She's really funny and sweet too. read more

Andrea was incredibly responsive, timely, and reasonably priced! She did fantastic work, even on one dress that I had ripped on a fire escape and thought I could never bring back to life - it looks good as new! I highly recommend using her services! read more

Amazing service from Andrea! She adjusted the straps on my wedding dress and added a bustle. She is very sweet, accommodating, helpful, great at her job, and is reasonably priced! Definitely would recommend supporting this small business! read more

Andrea is very professional in her craftsmanship and customer facing demeanor. I had a jumpsuit that just needed to be 2 inches shorter in the pants, and I found her via Yelp. She is very out of the way for me and I had to take a 30 minute bus ride, but I decided to go with her because she has not had any bad reviews, and made me feel confident in entrusting my garment with her. I texted her and gave her details about what needed to be done. Her rates are reasonable for the level of professionalism in her work - my pants are wide legged (14 inches wide), so she charged $35 for hemming, instead of the usual $25. She quoted a 3 week turn around because of the busy summer wedding season, but she squeezed in this simple job and I got my altered jumpsuit back 2 days after I dropped off the garment. The altered hem looks like it had not been touched at all, that is how good her craftsmanship is. Would highly recommend!!! read more

Due to me being lazy and a fool, I bought new pants and didn't take the time to try them on before needing to wear them at my brother's wedding. The morning of the event I tried them on and they looked awful (pardon me sir, were these pantaloons made for a giraffe?). After an hour of positive talk to a mirror, contorting my body into various shapes and praying didn't fix the issue, I searched for nearby businesses offering alterations and found Moore Custom Goods. I stopped in right when they opened to ask for help. Lucky for me, Andrea was able to get the pants fixed right away for a reasonable fee to expedite the work. Thanks life saver! read more

I found Andrea on Yelp while searching for a tailor for my bridesmaids dress and I am so glad that she came up! Andrea is so friendly, professional, and she did a beautiful job taking in my dress. I came to see her on a Saturday for my initial appointment which was very quick and easy. Two weeks later (I specified that I didn't need a rush job for this dress and could pick it up whenever) my dress was done and I tried it on when I went to pick it up and it was perfect! Pricing was totally reasonable as well. I highly recommended Andrea, I will definitely be going to her in the future anytime I need something altered or fitted to me! read more

I first stopped by Moore Custom Goods because I work in the neighborhood and had torn my favorite pairs of jeans. I popped in to ask Andrea, the owner and proprietor, whether she also did jean repair. Since then, she has been my first stop whenever I do something dumb and wreck my clothing. She has added fabric to my raw denim to bike proof it, patched countless holes, hemmed pants, and fixed shorts with bombproof craftsmanship. Too boot, Andrea took the time to help me decide if my new suit fits! She even humored me when I tore my favorite (threadbare) t-shirt and spent the time to fix it up! Not only does Andrea do repairs, but she is the designer of many awesome pieces for men and women that fill her store front! It's worth a stop by to chat with her and take a look. If her design work and killer repairs weren't enough, I always leave Moore Custom Goods a smile; Andrea is hilarious! read more

Andrea is a gem! Can't recommend her highly enough. She did a great job turning my very baggy (and expensive) Carhartt pants into a slimmer and comfortable fit. Pricing was completely reasonable. She has extensive knowledge in her field and is a charm to work with! read more

Needed a dress tailored for a wedding! When I got the dress back I almost thought she hadn't done anything because the stitches were SO perfect. She was also very kind and sweet to work with! Thank you for my dress!! read more

I can't say enough about Andrea and Moore Custom Goods. Andrea makes gorgeous clothes that look amazing on humans. She is an impeccable tailor with incredible style. Her work is creative and thoughtful and has detail and nuance. Also, she is the loveliest human, and her passion and thoughtfulness come across in her product and in the vibe of her shop. I wish I could throw out all of my clothes and have her start my closet from scratch. A+, more Moore please! read more

The kindest sweetest soul I've ever met, and of course, did a wonderful job on all of the items I brought in! Definitely will be going back in soon to have some alterations taken care of. read more

I could not be MORE thrilled with the customer service and tailoring here. I brought in an one piece swim suit that I loved, but for horribly, and Andrea worked wonders on it. First off, I've never found a tailor here who can do swimwear. Secondly, I'm not the most comfortable in swimwear to begin with, but her personality and approach to tailoring made me feel so comfortable! The finished product looks impeccable! I will definitely be coming back with all of my tailoring needs!!! read more

I bought my first pair of raw salvage denim jeans but needed a few adjustments. I took them into Andrea and Sara(h?), who provided me with their professional wisdom and gently guided me along so they'd be just right. My jeans fit better than I had hoped. Leave it to the experts. Definitely going back!!! read more

Amazing and wonderful! This business was a joy to work with and communication was fast and consistent. She's very friendly and does amazing work. I plan to take all of my future tailoring and alteration needs to Moore Custom Goods! Thanks so very much!! read more

Great experience. Prompt and friendly customer service, quick and quality work. They will be my go-to tailor from now on

What an adorable shop and helpful staff. This place messaged me back in less than 2 hours on yelp to schedule a time to come in and get a quote. They fixed what I thought were oddball items like my snow pants and waterproof zipper on my jacket! Great deal on the price and done sooner than the 2 weeks average time They gave me. Support this local business it is the type of shop so many of us moved to Portland to support!! read more

Andrea is amazing! I called her in a pinch needing my only nice work jacket fixed in multiple places and fast! She was so quick to respond to my call and got me in same day. I have since returned and used her services again and was beyond impressed with the friendly and personal service I received. She is very talented and I would recommend anyone who needs tailoring, custom clothing or alterations come here! I will be using Andrea and be a lifelong customer of Moore Custom Goods! Thank you :) read more

I brought in my bridesmaids dress yesterday evening after visiting TWO other shops who said they couldn't let out my dress to fit my chest. I don't know if those two other shops weren't experienced enough or just wasn't up to the challenge but I was discouraged and kind of offended. When I walked into Moore Custom Goods and explained what I have been dealing with and that I was desperate to find a shop that could help a girl out, they immediately were like "lets see what we are working with". Letting out a dress is probably more difficult than bringing it in (IDK what I"m saying. I am not a pro) but they didn't make me feel uncomfortable for having a large chest. They threw a couple ideas out and were like "okay cool, see you in a few weeks". The amount of professionalism was INSANE. I loved it. Having to loosen all your clothes can be a sensitive thing and can make people feel insecure but the two ladies I worked with yesterday were just amazing and made me feel good by the time I walked out. I don't even have my dress yet and even if it doesn't end up working out, the fact that they TRIED to help me was enough for me to respect their business and recommend it to others!! read more

My girlfriend took me too this sushi buffet. The food was delicious. I lack self restraint, ate too much and totally split my favorite pair of Levi Commuter Jeans down the bum. After a little bit of crying, I did some research and found Moore online. I was skeptical at first--I thought my pants were donezo. But I'm a romantic, so I held out hope. And I'm really happy I did. Andrea & company did a fantastic job. The time it to to repair my stuff was little over a week. Super speedy. Plus I'm more than thrilled at the quality of the work that was done. Pants look almost better than new. Plus the price is super affordable. Really shocked and thrilled I found this place. I've never written a review for anything before but this place deserves it. It's a real gem. read more

Andrea is amazing! She's so helpful, and I have never been to any sort of tailor/alteration place and I will never go anywhere else! Not only is she reasonably priced, she went on a spree to find something for my dress within a couple days and had my dress ready on top of a hem I needed her to do for a wedding. I can't say enough that this was a great experience and will definitely come in a refer all my friends. read more

This is my new go-to place for any and all of my tailoring needs. Store proprietor Andrea is very personable and easy to communicate with. She responds to emails and text messages in a timely manner. Being a tall, lean dude I needed a pair of black selvedge jeans tapered from the knee down. The alteration was done beautifully with the integrity of the selvedge ticker left intact (denim-heads know the importance of this). Andrea also darned a hole and repaired some loose threading on a rad denim shirt for me. Not to mention, Andrea makes her own really cool line of clothing. Big time recommendation for Moore Custom Goods! read more

I was visiting the area for a wedding and I was in a bind because the dress I had altered was not done properly when I picked it up the night before my flight. The wedding was the following day and I messaged a couple places near where I was staying. Moore Custom Goods got back to me extremely quickly. I came over and Andrea pinned what she needed to and told me to come back in a few hours. She texted me when it was ready. The dress was PERFECTLY done. I could not be more thrilled with the customer service and the skill this place has to offer. I was ready to give up on the dress I had and they saved the day. Worth every penny. read more

Andrea can create, tailor or fix absolutely anything when it comes to clothing. I've been going to her since she opened about a year ago and I can't stress enough how amazing she is. From creating the beautiful custom pieces that I always wanted, to crushing the small production project I needed help with, to finding a jacket and a woven right off the rack from her in-house collection, her work is extremely high quality and affordable. And she does it all with a smile on her face. She is super professional, easy to work with and personable. She is the best around. read more

Andrea responded to my request was timely and the price was acceptable. She really is the sweetest person and had my dress alterations done in one day! I highly recommend her for alterations. read more

Andrea is amazing. I started taking my clothing there after a guy over at Self Edge recommended her. Since then she's the only place I go! She is hands down the best place in town for alterations, and also unique cuts. If I we're to ask many of the other tailors in town for the little specific things I like to do, they would either misunderstand or just say no. Andrea has been super flexible with those requests and does high-quality work. Moore is a FIND. read more

I brought in two pairs of jeans to be tailored and repaired. She did an excellent job and the price was reasonable and service was fast, all while opening her new location! I would highly recommend Moore Custom Goods for tailoring services! read more

I am so grateful to have found Moore Custom Goods! Andrea and her staff were so helpful! I came to Andrea just under a week until my wedding day. I received my dress in the mail and it turned out to be way too big for me. I wrote Andrea to see what she could do and was about to give up and frantically search for a new WEDDING dress that would somehow fit me perfectly. Andrea responded within 10 minutes of my email asking for her help, had me in the next afternoon totally accommodating to MY schedule instead of hers and had my dress finished the next day. It fits perfectly now and she totally saved my ass. She is a true talent and a great person. Thank you again Andrea! read more
