My foot was hardly in the door and one of the two sales gals said: "we are closing in 5 minutes." There is nothing welcoming about that introduction to this outrageously expensive fashion boutique. I poked around for two minutes and left. On my way, out she said: "stop back another day." If I were the owner, I would have liked the salesperson to handle it with more warmth and grace. "Welcome to our store. I am so sorry but we are closing in 5 minutes. Are you looking for something specific? I can give you a little direction." Sadly, I had stopped in this store one other time 5-6 years ago. I had the same "stay out" experience. Amazing. Since other shops in the same shopping center are warm and welcoming.

I've been to Nordstrom Rack a bunch of times and have never purchased anything. The concept is…read moresimple, stuff that didn't sell at their upscale counterpart are shipped here to be sold at deep discounts. The problem is in the execution. Less than 10% of their inventory has ever seen the inside of a Nordstrom department store. The other 90+ percent is crap that's either make specifically for them or close outs from brands that Nordstrom doesn't carry. Want proof? There are more Rack stores than department stores. Way more. Trading on one's name and reputation isn't a new concept. But in the end it serves to dilute their brand. Someone who goes to Short Hills willing to spend $500 on a pair of shoes is unlikely to show up at a Rack store looking to purchase the same. No so of a Rack customer who pays $75 and assumes that they're getting a bargain. They're not. Can't really recommend shopping there. It's a pity because it's a 5 minute clerics from home. I…read moream sorry to say that I had the most unpleasant bra fitting of my life in this shop and I left in tears. Literally when I left and said, I hope you have a nice day, the saleswoman said "I hope you don't!" We were alone in the shop. Who talks like this? Anyway, whatever is in her heart, that's on her. The only reason I can think of her being that angry was my breasts were too big to fit into any bras or swimsuits in her shop. When I'd called the day before to say I needed a fitting, the person I spoke with was so pleasant and cheerful and I could tell she knew her way atriums a tape measure. Sadly that lady was not on duty when I came in the next day! So for those who do not know, the way to fit someone in a bra is NOT to have them try on bras with far-too-small cup sizes in increasing sizes. If you are holding a tape measure please measure my chest as well as my rib cage. And if doing that makes you uncomfortable, please get out of the bra-fitting business. Two stars because the store smelled clean and had parking.

A couple of hours later, my receptionist comes in to my room and tells me that the girl from precious cargo called to see if there is a Dana that works here. Apparently when she was wrapping my gifts she left one of the items out. She called around to several different salons to find me, and then delivered the gift.
