It's just frustrating to have representives from a store do something misleading to get a sale. We had a very positive service experience in the shoe department. The sales associate was helpful and patient, grabbing us a few similar boot options to try, beyond what we asked for. She didn't mind that we put the boots we loved on hold and came back to purchase them before leaving the mall. We made sure that she got credit for the sale. We had a great experience in the mens' denim department as well - the employees were really helpful in explaining the styles and sizing of the various brands. We also purchased a bag in the contemporary section - the sales associate there was actually pushy and salesy, not someone I'd normally want to work with or support, but we needed the gift so made the interaction short and moved on. Overall we enjoyed our shopping experience at Nordstrom, and we'll definitely return when we're in the area. If you don't live near a Nordstrom, they offer free shipping and free returns. And their customer service across stores is almost always top notch.

This store is average in size when compared to their larger locations. They don't carry kayaks, but they do carry camping gear, including tents. You'll find a nice assortment of travel cups/mugs that keep your drinks nice and warm. They have backpacks to suit the needs of avid campers. Their clothing selection changes with the seasons. Most of their clothes were geared to the Spring season. They did have some nice jackets and vests that were on sale. I bought a beautiful brown coat that is perfect for mild Spring weather. LL Bean can be a little pricey, but just keep an eye out for sales. They are best known for their bean boots, which are a high quality duck boot that keeps your feet dry. I was able to select a couple of pairs of custom shoe strings for my duck boots. LLL Bean will always be one of my favorite stores.
