Very nice well kept store with friendly but not pushy staff. Usually neat and in order except for large sales when people act like animals and tear the place apart. Smaller Gap so they run out of sizes and colors sometimes but they will always offer to check other stores or order online for you and have it shipped. Gap - Men's Clothing Near Me - Westfield, New Jersey

Since I spend most of my time in New York City, I'm used to Gaps small and large, both well stocked and barely stocked. With that said, it's nice to visit a Gap sometimes that isn't jam packed and that has a decent stock. This Gap in Westfield, NJ is one such store. This Gap doesn't look like your typical store from the front. Located in the really adorable town of Westfield, it's made not to stand out too much so it doesn't clash with the local decor, and I think this is a good thing as it keeps it looking friendly and distinguishes it from its brethren located elsewhere. The store itself is nice and large, with a front entrance and a back entrance. There are fitting rooms as well and all the clothes are laid out in an easy-to-find fashion. I went on a Saturday afternoon and it had plenty of shoppers, but everyone was checked out quickly and efficiently. The store was clean and none of the displays were wrecked. Every salesperson is rude. First they ignore you while they are acting busy. Then if you ask for a fitting room they tell you that you as the customer have to go get the key. Their tone is rude and snotty. Horrible experience. Not worth a minute of my time. read more

Had the worst experience recently. The store was so hot (throughout the whole mall really so I won't hold that against them) however, it took me 45 minutes to compile a few items that I wanted in order to use my $15 off $75 coupon. When I FINALLY got to the register my coupon was looked at with disgust and the man at the counter told me I couldn't use it. Apparently it didn't work on certain items in the store - fine. On a normal night I would have just walked out and never thought about it again, HOWEVER prior to this I had a problem with waiting over 10 minutes for someone to open the dressing room. My friend actually found the key and was letting people in rooms. Nice security by the way. Then I was looking at the signs on sales .. for example there was a 40% off of sweaters sign. When I asked the salesman which sweaters it applied to he said "it's the ones with the signs on them" and then smacked the sign on the bottom by the long sleeved shirts. Last time I checked long sleeved shirts aren't the same as sweaters but, no big deal what do I know I'm only the consumer. Then I asked about the 2 for $20 sign that's located in the middle of the t-shirts apparently that doesn't apply for the t-shirts it's only the tanks. Nothing in the store matched up with the prices that were being marketed. Last but not least, the mall closes at 9:30, I get it everyone's tired toward the end of their day however the store was filled with customers and all anyone who worked there cared about what cleaning up just so they could "rush out of there." I feel like that sets such a bad tone for customers who are just looking around and wanting to try things on. Excuse us for shopping after we've already gone to work for the day and you unfortunately need to be there to do your job. Overall, I'm not impressed. The people at the Montclair GAP are so much more personable and willing to help their customers. I'll be sure to take my business elsewhere, which is a shame because this GAP is located in one of the biggest malls in New Jersey. Just remember, customer service is EVERYTHING. read more
