This review is about the Garden City location. I anticipated writing this review because I am not one to ever write negative reviews, but I feel others should be aware. I frequently shop at Ruby & Jenna because I do love their clothing. During one of my prior visits I noticed a Store Manager (with dark hair) speaking to one of the sales girl (a petite little thing) who was so pleasant and helpful, in a demeaning manner. This same sales girl that I have seen before has actually assisted me in purchasing multiple items. She was pleasant and eager to help. Very often do you see sales girls act this way, so it made my shopping experience wonderful. When I visited today, the Store Manager was there again and just seemed like she was looking to humiliate this sales girl because she did not like her. What "boss" reprimands an employee in front of customers? Only someone that does that on purpose because they are a bully. Totally unprofessional!! The store is on the smaller side, so it was not difficult to hear. I do not know if that young Store Manager was on a power trip, but if her bosses saw her acting this way, I am sure they would not be happy. I will not be shopping in this location again because of it. Bullies need to be reported and shown disciplinary action OR maybe the owners of Ruby & Jenna need to only hire mature middle aged woman to run their store. This is a terrible representation of their name and in today's world, where small businesses are struggling, I feel it is very important to hire people that will not abuse their title and jeopardize sales, which for me, did just that today! I would definitely suggest you shop in their Plainview or Roslyn stores or only shop in this location if the Store Manager is not working. read more

Trendy female clothing store on east broad street. I've found some cute items in the past there. The quality is not high quality though but if you are looking for trendy or in season pieces for a decent price then come check this place out. read more

So there was this top that I wanted from Re:named and because they were a wholesale company, I couldn't order directly from them. However, they were soooo kind and helped me locate a boutique that carried the specific top I was looking for. They told me that Ruby and Jenna on the East Coast had it. I then reached out to Ruby and Jenna on instagram (slid into their DM ;p) and asked them about the top. I believe I was talking to Mikaela through instagram but I was for sure speaking to her on the phone. They were so responsive and were willing to ship the top to me! After a few messages back and forth, she told me she would contact me the next day to place the order. The next morning, Mikaela called me and made the entire process so easy! I'm so happy that I was able to purchase the top and they were so sweet to send it to me. They definitely went out of the way to help me out and I'm so grateful. read more

Only go here if you want to be treated like a piece of trash!!! My mom and I were looking through masks and necklaces to see which we liked best to purchase. A girl working there who I believe is the manager walked up to us and said "are you purchasing all those items?" knowing completely well we were trying to decide which ones to buy. We told her that and she then said due to Covid she did not want us touching the items (others were touching them before), and gave an annoyed look to one of the employees like we had been a bother. Why spend money at a place that doesn't even want your business and are completely rude to their customers? There are so many other great places to shop on Long Island, and it's definitely not here due to their awful employees! read more

This store used to be awesome but now it's starting to look like a mini version of a 2006 Forever 21. They do seem to have some sales, but it's not even worth it when you realize your 6th grade self wouldn't have even found their items trendy. Customer service is nonexistent. The girls working there make mistakes that I've never seen elsewhere. Working is not a priority, but rather gossiping amongst each other is. Really disappointing! read more

I am so disappointed with my experience at ruby and Jenna today. The store was an absolute zoo (to be expected with the 4th of July sale) hut I was expecting that the employees would still remain respectful and helpful however that was not the case. I found a few items to try on, and after carrying them around and the items began to slip off the flimsy hangers I expected some of the associates to help me and at least offer to help. I had to flag down an associate and after several times of asking (because the music was unnecessarily and ridiculously loud) she begrudgingly took my items. Once I was ready to try on, I again had to FIND an associate (as there was none to be found) and then had to wait for two to finish a conversation before one asked I needed something (as if I was rude for even interrupting). I quickly tried on my items (which none fit, unsurprisingly considering the quality is terrible) I quickly left the store. It will be a long time (and hopefully a change of management) before I visit the store again. read more

Cute clothes that are a touch more unique than what you might find in a mall. Prices are low to moderate, but I found out the hard way that you get what you pay for here. I purchased a kimono-type top, among other things, and put it on to wear to dinner one night. I was in it less than an hour when my family pointed out a huge tear in the shoulder. I took it off embarrassed, and planned to return it at their urging. By the time I was able to make it back to Westfield, it was 8 days after the original purchase. The salesperson told me that she was not allowed to issue a refund. I tried to explain that I would have kept the top if it hadn't torn so easily, and that I didn't necessarily want another of such poor quality. The only reason I wanted a refund was because the item was damaged. She seemed unsure, and after a call to her manager it was decided that I could have store credit. I am not in the habit of arguing with salespeople, so I accepted and left rather annoyed. I don't think I will be back to this store, except maybe to spend the store credit. I've shopped here many times before and have never had an experience like this, but it left a bad taste in my mouth. In general, I do not have a problem with the return policy, but with the level of customer service. A more polite demeanor and an apology could have gone a long way in this situation. On principle, I don't spend money anywhere when I don't feel valued as a customer. After this, I wouldn't feel comfortable recommending this store to anyone. read more

Do Not Shop Here!! Crappy quality. Clothing will tear or unravel on 1st wearing. Only store credit IF IF they decide you can actually return the article of clothing. My husband bought me a lounge shirt for Christmas. I went to return/exchange the shirt, with price tag in tact and receipt in hand. I was very disappointed when the owner refused to even give store credit for the overpriced shirt. I will not return to the store. Very disappointed with the whole experience. read more

DO NOT SHOP AT RUBY AND JENNA. I purchased $50 Jogger pants, and only two hours into wearing them for the first time, the pants started FALLING APART. When I brought them into the store three days later, the manager refused to give me a refund for the S*** quality clothing they sold me. There were also at least 10 more pairs of these pants on the shelf, and when I asked if they were going to continue selling pants that fall apart immediately, they shrugged and walked away. Never shopping here again, and will continue to tell others to refrain from doing any type of business here. read more
