I started the morning scrolling Instagram and happened to come across a few posts of lattes and I decided I deserved a latte this morning. I went with an oat, lavender latter with an extra shot and it was honestly perfection. I believe I saw they make their syrups in house and they definitely nailed the lavender. I can't recommend that enough. The coffee / espresso was so rich and flavorful! It really was a perfect latte! The bagel sammy was pretty good too! I was able to get two kinds of cheese; you read that right TWO. And I love when people offer an option to put tomatoes on a bagel breakfast sammy. I really feel like it elevates it to the next level! I will totally be stopping in next time I'm in the neighborhood! read more

Wow, this is a complete coffee shop. They have great breakfast choices and an excellent coffee and tea menu supported by Corvus Coffee beans. They have special espresso drinks every day. Today it was an orange mocha latte. Friendly baristas, nice large space, central location between uptown, cap hill, City Park and downtown. Check them out. read more

Amazing specialty drinks (lattes and cappuccinos) with fantastic avocado toast. Absolutely worth the visit. Order: Biscoff Baby (Biscoff cookie butter latte), Butter Maple Cappuccino, Avocado Toast, Grilled Cheese About: $33 Review: I'm honestly not quite sure where to start. Almost everything was amazing! They had a lot of great seating and it looks like in the summer they can open the bay doors to let in the air. While I'm not sure they they always have what we ordered since their seasonal, after tasting a few things I think you'd have a hard time going wrong. The butter maple cappuccino had a wonderfully complex espresso flavor with bursts maple and I swear the Biscoff baby tasted like the perfect blend of cookie butter and espresso. The food was slightly less consistent. The avocado toast was great, one of my favorite of all time actually, but the grilled cheese was disappointing. I'd actually call it a ham sandwich not a grilled cheese as there was more ham on it than cheese, and the game wasn't great. Definitely skip it and stick with their other offerings. While the grilled cheese was a miss, overall Doppio was amazing and definitely a place I would return to. read more

Doppio is stylish. They also work to be part of the community, offering UPS lockers for deliveries. But if you don't live within walking distance, parking isn't too hard to find on this stretch of Colfax. The barista on my most recent visit takes his job seriously. I ordered a pour over, and he walked me through the offerings and let me know which varieties he enjoyed. I really appreciated that. They use Corvus, my favorite local roaster. They get creative with a seasonal drink menu, so look for that. Pastries are good, and they've got other savory fare if you're hungry. The space has plenty of room for working, catching up with friends, or just hanging out. read more

Extremely mediocre. The chia pudding had a bad pudding to topping ratio and it was really overpriced for what it was. The burrito was not that good either. read more

This coffee shop goes beyond serving delicious coffee. Their staff is friendly and very helpful and they are immensely kind to community residents. Doppio Coffee - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Denver, Colorado

When I first moved to Denver this was the closest coffee shop in my neighborhood, so for a while I was at Doppio several times a week. And I'm grateful because their product is really, really good. No one in the area is creating, maintaining, and evolving such a unique drink offering. The best thing I've ever had at Doppio is what is currently on the menu which is their black sesame cold foam latte. It's... perfect in every conceivable way. Two things that prevent me from giving Doppio 5 stars though. The first is perhaps just a personal opinion and I'm sure so many factors go into pricing specialty drinks, but I don't know of any specialty third wave coffee shop in Denver--not even Little Owl or Middlestate who do specialty drinks just as good--charging $8+ for a drink. After tax and tip the drink is $10. That's pretty steep. The other is their staff: they have never been friendly in the year+ I've been coming. There is one guy that is really kind but no one else is on his level. They don't greet me when I arrive, they haven't learned my name, and they never say goodbye. I'm not special, I know that. But they don't do it for anyone and that's just not good business. When someone is coming three times a week, spending upwards of $150/mo at your establishment, you learn their name, and you at least greet them and say hello and goodbye. They don't do this. No one seems to be overly happy to be working at Doppio. If they could get that right, it would be a 5 star coffee shop, but they've got some work to do. Product is great, customer service is lacking. Overall happy to have them in the neighborhood and I'll still support them, just not as much as I would if they were friendlier. read more

We came in right before close but still felt welcomed and not rush. Our barista was very friendly. I ordered a latte and my boyfriend got the Mexican mocha. I love when drinks come with the foam art which was nicely done. We grabbed our drinks and enjoyed them sitting at the many tables inside. They were delicious! I did really like the Mexican mocha better. Cute place and good drinks! read more

Doppio has AMAZING vegan options! I'm not vegan, but I am allergic to eggs so I always appreciate when a restaurant has options that I can eat! I ordered the Vegan Banana Chocolate Chip muffin and it was DIVINE! The drink I ordered didn't blow me away, but the pastries are what really sold me!! I will be going back soon to try some more drinks and pastries! read more

Nicely tucked in between Lafayette and Colfax. It's cozy inside, decorated with nice plants, which I like it alot. Their specialty drinks and seasonal are phenomenal. Almond croissants and small gf chocolate pound cake were amazing. Definitely worth to try and will be back. read more

New find! This is a spacious and vibrant coffee shop located right of Colfax. Parking can be hard on Lafayette but one can usually find meter parking on Colfax. The interior is great, big open concept with tall glass windows that meet the top of the high ceilings. A lot of sun!! I've had a couple of this here, my favorite are the Cortado and their chocolate brownie. It's finger licking good, rich and condensed chocolate. A bit too heavy on the chocolate spread but that's my personal preference. Ambience: A Service: A Location: B+ Space: A Price: B+ read more

I had the cookie butter biscoff latte and it was one of the best lattes ive had in denver in a while!! The service was great too. I had the grilled cheese with brie and blueberry(?) and the only issue i had with it was that there was way to much berry compared to the brie, it definitely drowned out the flavor, and for $13 for JUST the sandwich, i definitely need it to be a really good sandwich. read more

Good coffee. Bagel sandwich left me wanting a little more. Maybe if it were toasted instead of microwaved. Very friendly staff

Very inviting ambiance in this coffee shop. It has room to work and enjoy a beverage and snack. The staff is very nice too!

one of my absolute favorite places for coffee in Denver. It tastes just right! The food is also great- the breakfast burrito is very filling. space is large and open, so it's nice if you want to chat with a friend or study. read more

Great food and coffee. The employees are very nice and friendly. I came here 3 times over the course of my 4 day trip.

I noticed changes for the worse at my latest visit Friday: the latte was not hot, the coffee was weaker than usual, and the avocado toast isn't made with fresh avocado spread any more. Because of that, and the fact that the desk area has been remodeled and I didn't see the usual woman running things in the front of the house, I wonder if there is a new owner or manager. When I asked the nice man behind the counter for another latte, he suggested that it was just lukewarm because of the ceramic cups. Huh? read more

Really cute spot just off Colfax to get some work done. I ordered a breakfast burrito (so yummy!) and a coffee for here. They have a variety of spaces to work at - high tops, regular tables, and couches/chairs. I appreciate the vibe that you could hang out all day if you needed to. They have great music playing, and the staff are very friendly. I'll hit it up next time I'm in the area! read more

There are a lot of good coffee shops in Denver to be honest. In my question for finding the best of the best - Doppio was on the list. We went fairly early on a Saturday AM and had no issue getting a seat or service. For starters, the space is large, open, and has ample seating. It was updated and modern. The front counter is pretty large and the young lady was very helpful. We ordered two smalls of the "batch of the day" - a Corvus blend and it was very good. The coffee (in house at least) came with refills which is always a perk. We ordered two breakfast burritos and had a seat by the bright open windows/sun. The woman who cooked our breakfast brought them over fairly quickly and they were on a nice plate of sorts. The burrito was large in size and included eggs, cheese, potatoes, green chili, and sausage with a small side of salsa. The burrito was seasoned well and other than asking for extra salsa we were pretty happy with our choice. Looking back, I definitely wish I would have gotten the Avocado and Almond Butter toast - they looked AMAZING! Overall, I am pretty happy to have found Doppio and definitely look forward to going back on a bright sunny and warmer day! Also, I will be trying those "toasts". read more

Welcome to the neighborhood. As someone who spends a lot of time at or working from coffee shops, Doppio came just in time as a new spot for a colleague and I to meet in the middle. Oddly, there is a lot of street parking where this neighborhood usually doesn't have any. The space is large with a beautiful mural and lots of seating. Free WiFi? Yup. The gentleman behind the bar was very friendly and put up with my pre-caffeinated self as I fumbled through the menu. I ordered the London Fog, which is earl grey tea, steamed milk, and their house made vanilla syrup. Omg. Yum. I went with almond milk and had them go light on the syrup. It was divine. I also enjoyed their almond butter toast. Holy generous serving! Two large slices of wheat smothered with almond butter, sliced almonds, toasted coconut, and it was supposed to have chia seeds but I think they forgot. Drizzle of honey took this over the top. I could only eat half of it. They are a UPS pickup location, which is handy, and they share a bathroom with an office building so if you're a paying customer, look for the key or ask nicely! Another thing to note is that I'm obsessed with their napkins. They come out of their container easily and don't fall apart when you use them. That's a big deal in the fast casual, grab and go world we now live in. read more

New cafe alert! Right off of Colfax on Lafayette, it's a nice midtown meetup for breakfast and daytime co-working. It's a large space and feels very open, which I loved. Nothing worse than sitting at a coffee shop, feeling smushed in like a sardine in a can while overhearing the person next to you's conversation. Oy! The tables at Doppio seat at least four people and are well-spaced out. They could easily cram in more furniture/seating, but that's not the point. Breakfast options vary from a traditional bagel sandwich to healthier items like avocado toast. I also appreciate that the coffee menu includes a London Fog. I worked here for 3+ hours the other day and no one gave me side eye or made me feel like I should mosey along. Very friendly service and I rarely get that vibe when working from a cafe. Will definitely be back! read more

I am not a coffee snob. I'm just a girl, walking into a coffee shop, asking the employees to not be too cool for me. I get all that and more here, complete with perfect ambiance and consistently new, creative drinks to keep things interesting at every visit. From my first time, they've become my #1 coffee shop by serving the best cold brew I've had in Denver. Strong and smooth and no burnt pee after-taste. And if that doesn't suit your palate, they have Lychee Tea (with house-made lychee syrup), Nitro Mocha (Nitro Cold Brew with Mocha Sauce) and Amber Lattes (Spiced Vanilla, Cinnamon and Rum) available via a seasonal menu that changes fairly frequently. I love that their space is open and calming, all weathered wood, brick and dark walls. When the weather is nice, their garage doors open up to the side street to let the air circulate and people watch. It's so charming, a nice place to sit and work for a few hours, or alternatively, talk with friends without feeling like you're clubbing. Basically, the Emma Watson of coffee houses. read more

This shop is such a cute place to grab a cup of coffee or tea! Maybe even snack on a pastry. The interior is very clean with neutral and earthy tones. I love the fact that they have real plants inside, some of which actually filter and purify the air making it a great space to get some work done. There is plenty of space and many tables to sit at. It's a small space but plenty. I tried out the autumn latte and the matcha latte. The autumn latte was a tad bit too sweet, but it had nice and warm vanilla and cinnamon flavors. The matcha latte was very well mixed and had a good balance of milk and matcha. It wasn't sweetened, so if you'd like, you can add simple syrup to it. I also tried their bagel with blueberry compote. I was a little skeptical to try this out at first, but I was pleasantly surprised. The plain bagel had plain cream cheese spread on it, but it was topped with the blueberry compote. I thought this would be overly sweet, but the taste of the plain cream cheese balanced out the sweetness of the compote. Very well made. I would highly recommend. I was bummed out that I didn't try their pastries, but I'll be back another time. Parking: behind the building is a parking lot. There are some spots that specify two hour parking, but if not, you'll have to find street parking. Bathroom: there is a key hanging on the wall next to the cart/table with the napkins, stir sticks, etc. the bathroom is through a door inside the shop. Take a left and walk down the hall, and the bathroom will be on the right. A little complicated but it is a shared building on Colfax. read more

This place is amazing! The food and coffee were pretty good. The ambience: music, garage door, and outdoor seating were all a plus! In my party we had the breakfast croissant, avocado toast with bacon, and breakfast burrito. The egg in the breakfast burrito was a bit runny which my friend liked. The croissant was so good! I had it without cheese because lactose intolerance, but it was still incredible! The spicy aioli really pulled all the flavors together. It came with a side salad which I thought was odd for breakfast but it was still good. The avocado toast was crispy and thick too. And my London fog was just swell. Would recommend and come here again. Great little morning spot to chill and have some coffee and a light breakfast. read more

Muted tones of gray, bright white, and otherwise gleaming surfaces suggest a minimalist aesthetic. Succulents, glass garage door, faux reclaimed wood and metal furnishings, logo mural, and exposed ductwork turned to 11 bring in that "I may be in my 30's, but I'm still cool" vibe Denver loves so much. If you're thinking "purposefully hipster," that sounds about white. Locally roasted coffee, locally sourced pastries, breakfast sammiches (not all vegan, but really, who is *all* the time, amirite?), avocado toast, almond toast, all the toast!, nitro coldbrew floats, coconut chia bowls... I'm feeling really gentrified rn. But who am I kidding? I'm a "young" urban professional and I live across the street. I'm in my 30's and I love this shiz. Their espresso is so smooth I don't need sweetener and their latte foam is bomb - I'll probably be there once a week. read more

5 star place, 2 star service! I absolutely love this place. It's always very clean and well stocked. All the breakfast options are incredibly delicious and are made with high quality ingredients. The coffee is very well balanced and flavorful. HOWEVER, the reason I don't give this place 5 stars is because one of the staff members. There is one gal in particular that has the worst attitude. I'm discouraged from coming here when she's working because she acts like I'm bothering her at her house. She rolls her eyes and is rude to customers every time I come in. read more

I hit up Doppio this weekend and found it to be a-okay. Not bad and not amazing. The space is a real selling point for me! I'm all for a cozy coffee shop but there's real merit in having space and not feeling like everything you say can easily be overheard. Other perks: HUGE coffee mugs, a good food offering (pastries AND more substantial things) and coffee that was the PERFECT temperature. Hot but not, wait-half-an-hour-to-drink hot. Service was good, neither super friendly nor rude but not really memorable. I really liked my almond butter toast and the pretty ceramic plate it was served on and maybe this it nit-picky, but do I really need a second piece of toast that doesn't have any of the extra toppings on it? Probably not. If my husband hasn't been there to help, I wouldn't even have touched that piece. Overall a nice coffee shop. read more

Cute trendy coffee shop right on Colfax! I stopped by here during covid to get a to go coffee. They have the store set up for social distancing and are wearing masks which is great. Parking was super easy and they also validate for the parking garage which is nice! As far as the coffee I got a latte which was tasty. They also have a bunch of specialty drinks including seasonal ones. For food options they had lots of pastries, I didn't try one this time but am curious to try one next time I go.
