    Fun donuts that kids loved
    Jeff M.

We promised donuts for a breakfast while watching the grandkids so grandpa got up early and made his way to Donuts Park. Easy to find with plenty of parking next to Domino's Pizza. Good selection of donuts and very friendly service I select a dozen to go and also a dozen donut holes as well. Plenty of delicious donuts in their display cases at very reasonable prices. This is a cash only business so be sure to have some with you prior to ordering. Everyone liked the donuts and I can say the apple fritters were outstanding, good size and priced right. Donuts Park is definitely worth a visit. Great 5 star donut shop.

    Delicious, nicely sized maple bar.

No nonsense mom and pop kinda place, very clean inside with some old school seating with those built in swivel seats from the 70s. Service was quick and very friendly. not a fancy schmancy place - ONLY TAKES CASH. Glad I read that in a review lol. there's a gas station across the lot if you don't have cash. Got a maple bar and a butter croissant. Maple bar was awesome, great size and flavor. The donut itself was fluffy and not greasy at all. Croissant was good not great, I like mine flakier than this one came out. Flavor was good though. Since I've been in my car writing this on a Thursday at 0730, at least 10 people have come through so it's definitely a popular place. I will say I didn't see any "fancy" donuts like their picture; dunno if that's just a weekend thing? Solid choice in my opinion!

Small little donut shop off Douglas on the 76. Conveniently located by shell station and little market. Definitely old school donut shop vibe and the woman was super nice and friendly. The donuts were very yummy and delicious. Today seemed to be their standard donuts and sprinkles, but I noticed other photos they have other cool toppings. The ham and cheese was awesome, she even warmed it up for me which was a plus! The cheese was melted and the jalapeño added a nice kick to it. Nice spacious seating area as well. Cash only. Definitely try it out!

    Yay for Friday!!! BEST DONUTS!!

I absolutely love this donut shop! I've been coming here for years since I was in high school! These donuts taste and remind me of my childhood. They are old-fashioned, and they don't just offer donuts, they offer breakfast sandwiches as well, they are always stocked with milk juice and coffee so it's great when you're on the go. Breakfast sandwich menu has a great selection!! Breakfast croissants and breakfast bagels!! I'm being 120% honest when I say THESE DONUTS ARE BETTER than Dunkin' Donuts and Krispy Kreme!

    Birthday donuts.

They have a massive selection to choose from, and I ended up trying the French Toast donut. It had that exact light, pillowy, croissant-like texture the other guest mentioned. I also loved that it wasn't overwhelmingly sweet like donuts from other shops can be. It was so light that I enjoyed it in the morning and still had plenty of room for breakfast afterward. My only regret is that I didn't have a bigger group with me--I wish I could have ordered a bunch of different flavors to share. I'll definitely be back for more!

My fiancée & I had seen Parlor Doughnuts numerous times after the Oceanside Sunset Market. & every single 1 of those times, we were already too full from grazing at all the food stands by then to give it a try. So on a Saturday afternoon, when we just happened to be nearby, we popped in for some impulse buy doughnuts. With a staggering variety of delicious looking toppings/ flavors, the possibilities looked enticingly intriguing. Staff behind the counter was friendly attentive, & helpful. Although there are some savory options available, which seemed to me like pizza toppings on doughnuts, we stuck with sweet: maple bacon & bourbon caramel. Tried & true flavor combinations, both. But the dough, whoa. For starters, the 2 doughnuts we got didn't have holes. That actually makes a difference in how the doughnut cooks. Secondly, the dough ate more like bread dough than a doughnut. Doughnuts have a hole for a reason. You see, it's physics, son. When you consider how thermodynamics affects an oblate spheroid vs. a toroidal sphere, it becomes evident that a doughnut without a hole will not cook evenly throughout inside. In fact, this was specifically proven on MasterChef Canada Season 8, Episode 8 during a doughnut pressure test. In that episode, Andres forgot to put holes in his doughnuts & they were undercooked in the center. Hey, I did start this review with admitting I'm a nerd who watches too many cooking competition shows. Uniform doneness aside, there was also the breadiness. If I'd been told these doughnuts were some kind of new take on Pan Dulce, maybe I would've liked them more. But given the expectation of a doughnut, what I tried at Parlor Doughnuts just wasn't it. The staff was great, & the toppings were fine. But with the word "dough" literally in the name of the product, to come up short there leaves something to be desired.

Entering: Never greeted let alone not acknowledged until it became barely. As someone who has worked all types of jobs, going as far back as when I was a teen myself - this is important. The two youngest ladies, at the register, were deep in their gossip that I doubt they noticed we walked in; only customers. I tried to get their attention but to no avail until I walked over and stood in front on them where their conversation had to be cut short. One of the young girls look a smidgen annoyed while the other was trying to rush to get my order. Quality of goods: I ordered a chocolate chip cookie, to share later with my girls and orders sometime raspberry for my teen son that he could enjoy later on break. The cookie was huge, yes, but nothing that beats the moist and chewy cookies I make myself at home, which I can't currently do since my kitchen is beinf remodeled. I asked my son on his bougie donut, later in the day, and he did the so-so hand and gave it an ok and dry. At end: we will stick to SK for service and quality.
