Here is a review from someone with celiac, I've never eaten these donuts!! I popped in to pick up a box of donuts for my coworkers to be kind, I cannot attest to the flavor and texture of the donuts since I cannot eat them. This place is cash only, leave your plastic behind. It was well stocked and I would have had my pick if I was able to eat a donut. I did think the box of donuts was pretty expensive, $11 for a Baker's dozen. Almost a dollar a donut!! Service was fast and the place was clean. Standard donut joint I guess. Why did it take me almost a year to step into this little donut shop? I've seen it going to & coming from work, walking my dog, & accompanying my husband to the barber shop next door. In the San Diego area, there are more mom and pop type donut shops than any where else I have ever been. Every strip mall or busy corner seems to have one. I've tried a few, and a donut seems to be a donut. However, DonutsPark is the first place that I feel really has what I'm looking for. First - the donuts are always fresh. They have that nice soft inside with the fresh (almost crisp) outside. They have coffee, milk, and juice ready to go. When you place an order for a few, they usually will throw in a freebie for good measure. Added bonus: the croissants. These croissants are usually the size of your face, and they melt in your mouth like it ain't nobody else's business to bet here! The plain can stand alone by themselves as fantastic, but you can get some with a sweet cheese filling, ham and egg, or however else you might expect to get them. No matter what, I always get a donut here AND a croissant because I could never decide which is better. They're both tops, and they each deserve special mention. This place is right down the street from my house, and like many of the local establishments that are privately owned, the owners and staff are all very family oriented, community minded people. They let us set up a donation jar for the Autism Society San Diego in their shop, and the owner even took down their own tip jar so they could do so! I can't usually eat many sweet things,but they have some really tasty glazed donut holes that were just enough to be fluffy, sweet goodness, without the usual heavy feeling I get afterward! I was really impressed with their service, the shop is neat and well kept up, and they were happy to help out a local nonprofit that didn't ask for anything other than a little bit of counter space. We come back each week to empty the jar; and the owner always adds in a couple of extra dollars - it's an incredibly kind gesture, and one of the many reasons I love living in the area I do! It's like a small town vibe nestled in the middle of a big city, and there's a sense of community spirit here that cannot be rivaled anywhere else I've ever lived. This is a great shop which is nearly hidden from the craziness of Douglas Drive. The shop has everything you are craving on your morning commute: cream puffs, muffins, coffee, cappuccino, breakfast sandwiches, bagels- you name it and Donuts Park has it. A standard dozen mix of glazed, cake, and old fashioned donuts will set you back $8.50. If you want any of the bigger donuts you can expect to pay a few cents more, but overall Donuts Park has super low prices compared to other shops in the area. My favorite are the doughnut holes. A dozen of those is only $1.35 - a fantastic deal. The staff always have a friendly smile and a warm, "hello". Inside you will find tables and a clean, well organized shop. My only complaint is that the shop does not take credit cards which is sometimes a hassle as I usually don't carry cash. read more

Donuts are one of my favorite foods. I live in the area of Oceanside where there is nothing much around and the things that are around aren't that great. Donuts Park is one of the exceptions. The donuts here are awesome! They rival all the expensive ones in downtown SD. Not only do they look beautiful they also taste amazing. They also have breakfast sandwiches and a few other things like that if you don't want donuts. If you want some of the fun donuts make sure to get there early before they sell out. But don't worry, the OG's are good as well. Nothing beats a maple bar in my personal opinion. The only reason I don't give them a fiver star review is because they are cash only and that is a total bummer for people like me who never carry cash. read more

I've had donuts from here before and enjoyed the experience. Today was odd though. I showed up just after 4am because the sign said "open." This was after I'd visited a different donut shop that was open 24/7, but decided my soccer mom van might become soiled by one of the dozens of homeless people hanging around the shop. I needed about three dozen donuts. Donuts Park was on the way home, but there's little information about it on the web. I swung by in the off-chance they'd be open early too. The lights were dim, but there was an "open sign" and a dude behind the counter. So I went in, and the guy said something indistinguishable. STRONG accent. I asked if the open sign was accurate, since there weren't that many donuts on display. He said something that seemed to be an affirmative and flipped the main lights on (a brighter, electric "open" sign lit above the door too, leading me to believe the smaller plastic sign had just been left facing the street by mistake). As noted in the few reviews that exist, they accept cash only. I told him I was going to the ATM. When I came back, the lights were still on but the guy behind the counter had apparently vanished. Several minutes went by before he emerged with a crap ton of fresh donut holes. He gurgled something and motioned towards the kitchen again. He left. A while transpired and I didn't see any coffee. I thought about leaving when the man emerged with even more fresh donuts! He asked me if I wanted any (I think) so I pointed at donuts and he boxed them up accordingly. As he rung me up I asked what the shop's hours were, since none were posted online. I think he said 5 to 5. If that's the case, then he did me a solid by helping me even though I came in the shop an hour before opening. read more

The first thing I saw was NO DEBIT/CREDIT which is quite weird ....really disappointing because I had no cash .. so I went to the gas station to get cash back.
