Their blueberry cake donuts, Bavarian cream, and cherry fritters are stand outs. The staff is so friendly. Coincidentally stopped in on National Donut Day. The smell of pastries as you enter the building is amazing. I ordered an Apple bear claw, apple fritter, Boston creme, cinnamon roll and cinnamon sugar twist. I started off with the Boston Creme and it was the best donut I have ever tasted. Dough was fresh and crispy, but soft on the inside. After that, I tried the apple fritter with every intention of stopping after just one bite. I've been to several donut restaurants or donut shops around Portland and some of them have icing that taste like it was made from pure sugar it's not right and the cake part of the donut is not fluffy or lighter what I would want. But this place is consistent they have the best cake donuts and the best chocolate icing any place in Portland read more

I have long loved these donuts. First time back since the pandemic......boy I was very disappointed. Drove all the way from Tigard to enjoy their world class apple fritters and other tasty treat. The fritters both cherry and apple had almost no fruit. The buttermilk bar was so hard I have to believe it was day old. The raspberry jelly filled only had a teaspoon of jam. On a positive note the apple spice donut was excellent. But I doubt I will be making the trip from Tigard again. read more

Ok so at first I wasn't impressed with the donut but loved the customer service. I got coffee and was filling my cup which emptied the thermos. One of the girls behind the counter heard it and came right over to change it out. Now for the bit of bummer. I had the apple fritter and it was dry and lacking apples so I won't get that again. However, I did get some donut holes to go and they have redeemed themselves. They are so good. I'll go back for more. read more

They used to have frosting covered rolls made with yeast, and the whole shop had this nice yeast fragrance. No more. I think they cut costs and time by moving to a non-yeast dough or mix, and they no longer even offer these rolls. The old dough mixers are still visible although they appear to be unused. I don't get out this way much, but each time I've stopped here I have always found their items to be fresh and good. Even later on in the day they still have managed to retain their freshness. Easily one of my top 10 donut purveyors in the Portland area. Warning: if you enter from Burnside there is a big dip from the street to the parking lot that can bottom a car out. read more

have been 3 times in the past year, so I guess it's time to Yelp it. The raised donuts are just okay, but the cake donuts are excellent! especially fond of the blueberry cake ones; they are SO good dunked in coffee! they are very much like a really sweet, dense blueberry muffin with a very thin glaze. the jelly-filled also doesn't have that odd medicinal aftertaste that some jelly-filled I've tried elsewhere have had. but again, it's surrounded by a "just okay" raised batter. the buttermilk bars and the fritters (cherry and apple) are also very good. I like the thin glaze they use, it's not too messy and doesn't interfere with the overall donut taste. definitely going back for more cake donuts! read more

I've passed by here so much over the years but never considered ever coming in til this particular morning. I gotta admit I like a good donut. I'm not one of those elaborate donut people that insist on going to Voodoo Donuts cause it has such an awesome and diverse selection. In actuality, I like my simple donuts like a twist or a buttermilk bar. I literally drove by here this particular morning and that sign just sucked me in. I came in and was greeted by some really nice bakers that were not trying to rush me into an order so they can get to the next person. He took his time with me and I did my usual Buttermilk Bar and Twist with a carton of milk. I got back in my car and decided to partake in this pastry in the privacy of my car and Steve Perry. You also can't forget about Steve's bandmates Journey as well. I took my first bite of my buttermilk bar and it was hard as a rock. Not one to waste food I grudgingly at the rest of the donut and found it to be rather dry. I washed down the buttermilk bar with some of the milk and digged into my cinnamon twist which again was hard. I'm not an expert when it comes to donuts but I don't want to assume it was old but as hard as it was I'm finding it hard to believe it was fresh either. As Steve Perry once sang the song "Separate Ways" I think its best we went our separate ways as well. Its not you, its me. I don't like hard donuts and I hope that maybe someday in the future I may find myself in the front of your bakery counter but for now we need to part ways. read more

This place.... This place has..... The best donuts...... I've ever had. My partner and I are absolutely IN LOVE with this place. My grandpa owned a Dunkin' when I was a kid, so I got used to eating donuts that were fresh and delicious. Since then it and most other donut places have gone out of business, so I am left here with only places like Krispy Kreme and Voodoo. If you break a Voodoo donut down to its basics, the donut, the actual DONUT is nothing special. Mediocre at best. KK is just... too much. It's too sweet and too rich. The texture of some of there other donuts is wrong. Almost too hard. Donut Wold hits all points; smell, taste, texture, presentation. Winner. Our favorites are the plain (raised, glazed) and chocolate (cake, glazed) donut holes. The texture of the plain ones is divine. They melt in your mouth! Also, the cake donut with chocolate and chopped peanuts on top is excellent. I love sweet and salt. read more

I'm from CA where there's a donut shop every other block. Gresham has only this 1 donut shop, and it doesn't even do the name justice. Their selection was measly (they don't even make a vanilla cake w/sprinkles, only chocolate). The maple bar tasted better than it looked thankfully. Maybe they specialize in the bear claw because it seems like their case was full of them. The standard glazed tasted old despite the fact that he went in the back to retrieve a fresh one. Cheap and great friendly service, but any donut shop in LA would put this place out of business without even trying. read more

I LOOOOOVE DONUTS! That being said, I don't eat them much, but this place is worth it. Good thing it's way out of my way in Gresham!!! I first tried one of their glazed raised at work - someone brought them in for something. They are FANTASTIC! The donuts themselves are on the larger side, and the dough is thicker and chewier (my preference). The glaze is pretty substantial, but not so thick that it dries out and cracks off. I'd say it's basically the perfect donut. I'm not so sure about the rest of their selection, since I haven't bothered to try much - but from what I've had, it's pretty good. I am not sure what happened to this place. They have some amazing reviews, however my experience with the donuts was not good. You could get better donuts at Safeway. We got the maple bar.... hardly any maple on top of the donut. Same with the chocolate custard filled donut. Completely lacking in the chocolate frosting and I think they may have actually forgot to put custard in my donut. What's the point of making a mediocre product? I don't think the person who made our donuts would appreciate getting the donuts we were served, so why serve them to customers? Do you think the customer says, "Hey I am in the mood for a mildly edible donut without frosting or filling, oh hey, I know just the place! Donut world!" But if there are people out there wanting a inferior donut...then this is your place. read more

They have a lot to choose from (at least in my opinion),so I had a hard time choosing what I wanted and ended up getting 6 different products. Everything was fresh and flavourful. Good prices (7$ for 6 items) & location. Who cares if the interior takes you to the 70's or 80's---it's quite unique these days & if some donuts do not looks exactly the same or if something is not spread evenly---that's what happens when things are handmade and not mainstream...the flavour is there regardless. So, I was craving doughnuts and coffee. Decided to try this place since it's the closest doughnut shop to me. I was greeted by some friendly young ladies. They were kind of busy so I let them take the next customers so I could make up my mind. When I finally made up my mind and headed to the register the nice young lady rings me up and before she can even had me my change back the rude older Asian lady basically pushes her aside and starts to ring up others customers. I had to reach over their doughnuts just to get my box. Now, I have worked in customer service for 10 years and I found that very rude to the point I will not return because of her actions.
