Passing through on our way to Yosemite. Saw the reviews so my hubby and I decided to check it out. The Asian beef sandwich was good, very tasty, filled with veggies, fresh bread. Price was fair for the size of the sandwich- $6. Had a glazed donut that was just okay. When I asked for a cup of water, I was told that I would be charged 50 cents. I then bought a drink from the case, expecting that I could get a cup of ice. Bummer that you have to pay for a cup of tap water and/or ice. read more

I have lived in Merced for 23 years and have driven by this place many many times. Ive heard about banh mi sandwiches but never tried one and I never knew they had them. I have my fav. donut place and I don't like Boba so it makes sense that I wouldnt think twice about this place...However, I accidentally found out they had banh mi and decided to try one today. I got the bbq pork and WOW! it was really good. They made it fresh for me right there and while I was waiting I perused through their menu and looked at their donuts and this is definitely a place Im going to be coming back to in the future!!! read more

I'm rounding up my score to 5s because it has the best boba I've ever drank. A little too sweet so I always have to ask for less sugar aside from that I've never had better boba anywhere else and by that I mean the drink is great and the black pearls. Also best sandwiches in merced, I would only want more veggies on my sandwiches because I'm a veggie person. They use to have better service when the asian guy with the accent was working there. He was just super joyful and made doughnut kings a great place to visit. Now, the service is just service. read more

Went in to try their "Crispy Crunch" doughnut that i've heard so much about and when I went in, the man made them fresh for me. They were so delicious! Not too sweet but I could only eat one. I gave the other to a co worker. I will be back there to get my cronut fix for sure! read more

I've visited this place just about every day since the middle of summer. I'm not a big fan of blended drinks and not a big fan of boba pearls. I am, however, a fan of milk tea. I'm used to a milk tea that has a bit of bitterness to it. Their milk tea is very sweet. I've since become addicted to it. I'm a huge fan of the nem nuang sandwich (excuse my spelling). It's quite sweet and a bit overpowering so I opt for extra jalapenos. The jalapenos are not very spicy so extra is better. This is coming from a person that can't really take anything too spicy. It's delicious!!!! It can get busy so I often call ahead. This is a great place! read more

I was in the neighborhood and with temperatures in the triple digits a boba drink sounded good, so I stopped by. The place looked clean and the staff was very polite and friendly. The whole place smelled of yummy food. I ended up getting an iced Thai tea, I had not yet tried one of these, but omg! It was perfect! My only complaint was that I ran out too quickly! It is a bit over priced for my opinion but now a days who isn't,?! Plus I got a card that gets stamped and after a certain amount u get a free drink. So I guess a reward makes up for the price. I'm officially hooked! And if you end up getting one look at the little logo girl on the plastic lid, that's how I felt when I took my first sip! :) read more

I make sure to stop by every time I'm in town visiting family. The donuts are awesome and the sandwiches are tasty. Although the food itself is great, the service during my last visit (which was on 12/26/19) left me perplexed and well, sad. My boyfriend and I walked in hoping to grab a sandwich I had tried the day before and wanted him to try as well. We'd been waiting in line for some time, discussing what to order, when I ask if she(I believe it was the mother) had a restroom I could use. She said no. I said no worries and continued to wait in line. Then I hear a woman telling her friend she was going to ask for the restroom key which I figured, maybe she doesn't know they don't have a restroom. she's asks for the key, and of course, she gets it. The woman behind the counter even looks my way, at me, as she hands this woman the key. one could argue that she didn't know that I was going to buy something and therefore said she didn't have a bathroom however I don't think that's the case considering I'd been waiting in line already. This left me rather emotional as the other woman was white and I'm,,, not. I don't understand why I lead to believe that there wasn't a restroom at all, meanwhile a white woman was given a key with no hesitation. my mom raves about the quality and comfort of this place so for her, you get a 5 star review. As a now former patron, there's nothing comforting about being denied restroom access while granting someone else the privilege right in front of me. read more

This place has good sandwiches and good boboa drinks. Probably the best in merced, but my issue with them is the amount of time it takes for you to get your drink! I can understand when there is a lot of customers getting drinks and such but this is everytime. I can get my pho across the street in Bankok faster than I can get my boboa drink. They are quick to take your order and take your money, but takes forever to get your drink. There are a handful of times when I wanted to walk out, the only thing stopping me is the fact that I have paid. I would come here more if they would speed up their service. read more
