Accepts cash and credit card. Tons of free parking in the shopping center. I've driven past this shop multiple times and decided to give this place a try. First off, customer service is great. The staff who works there was very friendly and nice! I ordered an assortment of donuts since it was my first time. Would recommend their stuffed donuts such as the lemon stuffed donut. Their donuts were fresh even though I came towards the end of the day. They also serve drinks and sandwiches there. They also have tons of cookie options. Will definitely return here in the future. Prices are reasonable. If you are in the area for some sweet treats, this place is a good option.

Ordered donuts on grubhub. Very smooth process on the app, however it was challenging finding the powdered donuts at first we found it. We received our donuts shortly before excepted so definitely fast service. The donuts were really good. The apple fritter was my favorite of them all. Good balance of apple and donut plus the texture was perfect! The blueberry donut was delight, light, and fluffy. I would definitely recommend this spot for a good donut.

As a self certified, international donut, connoisseur, sommelier, aficionado I couldn't pass up the opportunity to visit a donut spot local to where I had an appointment. Of course, I hit yelp for suggestions and landed on donut King. It was pretty easy to find. It was relatively good parking as I went at prime lunch hour. If you are a donut connoisseur, such as myself, this is not the place for you. I tend to stick to artisan donut bakeries where all they do is donuts because I know the quality will meet my expectations and my visit to King reinforced that perspective. When I got there, there weren't many left so I chose the mini donuts, the lemon, and a powdered doughnut. These are clearly not being made in house. They were absolutely basic. The lemon in the jelly donut was the traditional gelatinous goo. The miniature donuts are very very light and melted in your mouth so quick it's like you weren't even eating anything. The powdered was thoroughly uneventful. I would not recommend this if you want really really good donuts and I definitely won't be back.

Eight incredibly fresh donuts to go: raspberry filled, Bavarian cream filled, Boston Cream, chocolate iced and a chocolate cake (wrapped).

You cannot imagine the joy when I realized that I was going to pass Donut King in Wheaton on my way home from a doctor's appointment. Donut King makes the best donuts. The Raspberry Jelly filled are light as air. The Donut shop is a half of a full Breakfast and Lunch Grill with moderate seating. The servers are kind and quick. I wished I lived closer!!!

I stopped here randomly as I was in the area. Very quick and friendly service. The steak egg & cheese croissant I got was very good. I paired it with a regular cup of coffee. I will definitely stop in again if I am back in this area and want a quick bite.

So, it's been a baker's dozen years since I last reviewed this place and I feel I need to give it a most deserved update. The place has been modernized, but because of COVID there is no dining inside. I don't recall there being tables outside, but you wouldn't want to eat outside because the entrance is right up to the parking lot and when I was there there was a guy asking for money. I didn't give him any because there is a liquor store nearby. I did give him a donut though. They have a pretty expensive breakfast menu, but who are you kidding. I came for the donuts. It is Donut King, after all. I bought sugar twists donuts and cakes donuts. I got an apple fritter for breakfast the next day, and a scone (pictured) for my tea time. Loved what I had so far! I will have to make a return when they are fully open. Maybe sooner for more donuts to go.

This is such a great local staple for us. We're so lucky to have a good place to get coffee and breakfast and of course donuts and treats. They are nice and well priced. There's rarely a wait.

I liked this place when I walked in because it seemed like it could become a regular place since I live nearby. When I ordered the breakfast Reuben sandwich, I thought - ok it doesn't have sauerkraut, but I can overlook that. But then I opened it up and it didn't have meat?! For almost $7 that seems crazy I just got toast with egg and cole slaw. It was soupy and gross. Disappointed :/

I've been on a quest to find a non-chain donut shop that not only has delicious donuts but is also consistent in quality. I came across Donut King and figured I'd give it a try. I'll admit after seeing the photos online I walked into this situation not expecting to be wow'd however I wanted to give them a try after seeing their Honey Dipped (Glazed) donuts in photos. Long story short, their donuts are what you would expect from an old-fashioned, old school coffee, breakfast and sandwich shop. They give you all of the traditional donut flavors and I even saw donut twists. The donuts were OK. I was expecting more from the glazed donut which was a bit dry and lacking icing considerably which brought the dryness of the donut and the overall lack of sweetness of the donut itself to the forefront. The other donuts I tried in the photos were OK. I arrived around 10:45am to which I expected to find a good amount of donuts available and fresh in quality. Virtually all of the donuts they sell were available on showcase. Customer service was warm and friendly however that is with me being overly friendly to get some personality out of the cashier. I think for the price this donut shop is worth it. Certainly I'll give them another try if in the area.

    Assorted goodies from Donut King!

Donut King, how do I love thee? I love Donut King in the morning, for egg sandwiches and other tasty breakfast treats like french toast and pancakes. I love Donut King in the afternoons for all kinds of savory sandwiches and desserts. But there's nothing better than a Donut King donut and a hot cup of coffee, any time of day. My favorite is the sour cream donut and a cuppa black joe. Sometimes I just get a bag or two of goodies to spread out over the next few days. Add to that the fact that Donut King is local and family-owned, there's no reason not to visit often!

Petite sized little bakery in Wheaton Triangle…read more This is one of the small little shops on the perimeter of the brand new large office building that goes up where the large parking lot used to be. There's a handful of tables when you walk in, more seating then you'd probably think for a bakery of this size. The walls are lined with refrigerators and pastry cases. Some of the selection is self-service and then some sit in glass boxes that are more attuned to Jewelry cases. I went up to the front and saw a number of hand scrawled signed taped on the front refrigerators. The prices are insanely low. Tamales for $1.50 a piece are definitely worth your attention. The chicken sandwich that I tried for $3.00 was oddly out of this world. When it was set down on the table in front of me... I was like... "OK... this looks pretty basic." But then I tried it... and I was like... what the HELLO has been done to this chicken. As I commented to a friend: " I have no idea what they did to that chicken, but I'm pretty sure it involves wizards or MSG." It was freakin' good! I also ended up getting the Budin (I think this was $1.75) which is like this super soft raisin pudding cake thing with caramelized sugar on top. Man... that was good. The ONE thing I got and didn't love was the "pan con frijoles, queso, crema." There is a possibility that this is true cause I didn't eat it while it was hot. There is also a possibility that this is true cause the cashier/cook forgot the cheese and then gave it to me on a little plate later, and it didn't melt into anything. But for me it just was too gloopy... if you know what I mean. The bread it was served on was good... but the texture and saltiness was a little much. Overall, I will totally be back. Value for quality was fantastic. Also... just FYI. It would be VERY helpful to know a bit of Spanish when you do go. There was definitely a bit of a communication barrier with English.

I forget the name of the sandwich, but it had eggs, chorizo, plantains, and something else that I cannot remember. Although I was a bit surprised the sandwich was around 8 bucks, I understood why when the sandwich came out because it was HUGE. Put it like this, the sandwich kept me full for a good 4-5 hours, so it definitely was worth the eight dollars. While waiting for my sandwich, curiosity got the best of me, and I ended up buying a few pastries for later. The sandwich, coffee, and four large pastries were about $16. Overall, I thought my sandwich was absolutely delicious...especially the bread/roll that it was served on/with. Like I said earlier, the sandwich was jammed packed with eggs, chorizo and plantains. Throughout the weekend, I tasted the pastries, and I thought all of the were pretty delicious. Unfortunately, I do not know which pastries I purchased because many were not labeled. To be honestly, I completely picked the pastries at random. One of the things that I enjoyed about the pastries: none of them were overly sweet. For me, they had just the right amount of sweetness, which might be considered bland for others. The bakery is kind of small, in terms of dining in, because it has about 2-3 small tables. However, the bakery seems more like a place to grab food (or pick up orders) and go. While eating, I was the only one who actually ate their food inside of the restaurant. I thought the two women behind the counter were exceptionally nice. Also, interacting with them gave me a chance to practice my Spanish. Overall, I thought this was a great random find, and I'm looking forward to returning and trying some more of their delicious pastries and other platos fuertes.

Tuesday 1/21/25 I…read morerandomly found out about this spot a few months ago while on TikTok. I heard A LOT of high praise for it, so now I'm trying it. The service experience was quite memorable and funny. There were differences in language barriers, but we still made it work out in the end. I was overwhelmed, to say the least, as I was completely new to the experience of a Spanish bakery, so I got suggestions from the workers, Yelp & Google, and what caught my eye. I ended up spending $43.20 total and got: Brazo gitanos $2.75, torta $3, pan de pina $1, steak egg and cheese sandwich $10.75, tipico platter $14, flan $5.50, pork & cheese pupusa $2.75, and chicken & cheese pupusa $3.50. Also, I was excited to try the tres leches, but they didn't have any at the time. - The brazo gitanos is like a pound cake with a cherry/strawberry swirl, and it was alright. - The torta was my favorite bakery item as it tasted the best, and was elevated further when I warmed it up. - The pan de pina is a Spanish pastry with pineapple "jam" in the center, and it was alright. - The steak egg and cheese sandwich was my favorite item. The Spanish bread paired well with the ingredients to create a great flavor with every bite. - The tipico platter was decent, but I wish I had gotten more portions of the chorizo because the portion I got was limited. One thing that makes it truly amazing is combining all of the platter items on their homemade tortillas to create a sensational taco of taste and flavor. - I'm not a fan of flan (it's alright), but theirs was pretty decent. - The pupusas (pork & cheese and chicken & cheese) were great, and they might just be the best pupusas I've had. Overall, I enjoyed my experience at El Sabor. I would recommend it and be open to returning (maybe next time they will have tres leches available).
