I think 8 bucks is a fair price. Also, I thought it was odd that the bagel was not served with cream cheese. Maybe it was on me to actually ask for cream cheese. Although I went with a canned soda, instead of a coffee, for my platter, I was shocked that the place charges for coffee refills. I think the cost of refills were either 50 cents or 50%. I do not think that I've ever dined in a restaurant that charged for coffee refills. Perhaps, this is something new due to the new tariffs that the consumers have been hit with.
