This time, my daughter ordered the same dish and requested medium-rare, assuming it might come out a little over. Instead, it arrived rare. Fortunately, she was fine with it. My parents both ordered the Black & Bleu Penne, and while the filet tips in both dishes were overcooked, they remained surprisingly juicy. Another member of our party ordered the Chicken Pesto Sandwich and was disappointed by the soggy bread and somewhat lackluster flavor. I ordered the Chicken Marsala, and it was very good. It wasn't a traditional Chicken Marsala as I'm accustomed to, but it was flavorful, unique, and ultimately satisfying. After two visits, here's my overall impression: the service has been consistently good, though not exceptional. The flavors, however, have been outstanding every time. The kitchen clearly knows how to develop great flavors, and that consistency keeps us coming back. If you're ordering a steak dish, just be aware that the final temperature may not always be exactly as requested. That said, we've visited with large groups both times--eight people on our first visit and seven on our second--so it's possible some dishes spend extra time waiting in the window while the rest of the order is completed. Overall, this is a solid 4.5-star restaurant in our opinion. Unfortunately, Yelp doesn't allow half-star ratings, so I'm giving it 4 stars. Despite a few execution issues, the food quality and flavor are strong enough that we'd gladly return again.
