Bar with lots of tvs and sofa seating
    Bonnie W.

The Pony Express is hidden in the Bolger conferwnce center behind the reception area. Its huge with a great patio (with fire pit). They keep adding tvs to watch every game from sofa, the large bar or tables. Food is ok bar food including flatbread and burgers. The best part is happy hour 4-7 and game days where huge draft beers are $4 as are bar drinks. Perfect to sit outside with friends or waych multiple games. Kids welcome & free parking. Very friendly staff.

The Pony Express is the only game in town for pool. The bartenders are good people. The food is good but pricey.

My son wanted a kids burger with no cheese and extra pickles, they had to remake it because it had cheese and then it came without pickles. We had to get attention to get some finally. Some of the servers are super great, and some are not so much. When a burger without certain ingredients was ordered, one waiter rudely said "then what do you want on the burger" however, the burger still had plenty of ingredients listed, that the person ordering didn't ask to be left off. It's difficult to order a plain burger with the only burger on the menu has bacon and cheese. The food is standard fare. Burgers, sandwiches, salads. The chef pays attention to allergens. I've tried the shrimp roll, the Caesar salad, and the turkey club. All of these can be made gluten free, although the menu doesn't denote it. Another in my party enjoyed the shrimp tacos and the burger. Being inside the Marriott, it is a little overpriced, but the food is good, just hit or miss with service. Great for a quick bite if you're staying in the Marriott.

I'm a bit of a sucker for fried seafood but I do think it was overly coated with breading. Service was good, the food came out timely and hot. I ordered a chicken pot pie (looks small but is a huge portion for me). I'll have to say that's my favorite. It's a beautiful restaurant that would be more of a semi-formal appeal. There are also party rooms in the back where my family and I book to have dinner events.

Started with the Caesar salad appetizer and it was completely bland. No flavor at all. Then I had the French dip with the thin fries. I specifically asked for the meat to be well done and lean with no fat. The waitress said that wouldn't be a problem, but the sandwich came out not well done, fatty, and pretty tasteless. The horseradish sauce also had almost no flavor whatsoever. I don't even know why they call it horseradish honestly. The au jus seemed weak and watered down too, or maybe just old. Either way, it wasn't good. Overall the meal just felt really off compared to what this restaurant used to be. Maybe it was an off night, I don't know, but it definitely wasn't the experience I expected. Not sure if I'll go back again. Unfortunately in Montgomery County there really aren't that many great options left either.

Good variety and not too many options. There's meat, veggies, and seafood. I'm uncertain whether they can specifically modify any dishes for vegan. - Quality. Delicious. My trout was nicely filleted, well seasoned (not overly salty), and the skin was extra crispy. It was served over a bed of celery, potatoes, and cauliflower that were tender. Their shoestring fries were not overly salty and were nicely crispy. Their seasonal dish of grilled shrimp with their barley salad was also very flavorful. The shrimp were well-seasoned and a nice texture (i.e., not overly cooked/rubbery). The profiteroles were sweet, but not overly so, and had a nice amount of chocolate sauce drizzled over it. - Service. Excellent. Our waitress was attentive and checked in on us within decent time intervals, refilled our water glasses - Location. Conveniently located within a plaza with many different options. You can walk around and check out other shops, as well. During nice weather, there's supposedly outdoor seating. Their tables don't appear to be able to seat parties in the double digits. - Layout. Inside layout is not decent, but not expansive. There are a fair number of booths and tables. I've been told that the provide outdoor seating when the weather is nice. Given the limited seating, I highly recommend making reservations. What's Not - Acoustics. Terrible inside. We could barely hear the wait staff who talked to us. We had to ask her several times to repeat the information she gave us Sound carries very easily inside, especially when it's full. - Parking. There is parking in the area, but depending on the day you come, it can be difficult to find. Given that I was there during on a Sunday afternoon, it was difficult to find parking. The nearby outdoor lots were all filled and street parking was difficult to find. Fortunately, my friends told me about a parking lot at the nearby Porsche dealership, which was not costly and is well-automated. For about the 2 hours I was there, I paid under $4 total. The Porsche parking lot is also able to read your license plate. - Cost. To be fair, it's going to depend on what you order. When you combine drinks, any seasonal dishes (and the wait staff did not tell us the cost of the seasonal dishes we ordered), and dessert, it's a fair amount. - Reservations. Definitely recommend making reservations, rather than walking in. Final Answer Would be willing to come back here again, but probably not a first choice.

But the flavor was good! - 10/10 Broccolini was great! I can't tell by the smell and taste that it was charred on the grill which was how I like it cooked. It was well seasoned too. Service: 8/10 Had great service! The hosts and waitresses were welcoming and kind. I do feel like the tables should already have silverware so I had to request it in order to eat my food. I reached out and was speaking to the back end and was told that they were sorry for the quality and quantity of food and that they would mail me a gift card. I am attaching a photo of receipt of how much we ordered. We ordered a chocolate cake, the photo online showed a massive slice of cake, ours looked as if someone cut half of it off where the cake is supposed to be pointed. $12 for half a cake. My bfs meal was supposed to come with two sides. He ordered mashed potatoes and cole slaw. The mashed potatoes were in with the steak and it was a small portion that looked like a small ice cream scoop, ribeye ($49.00). We did not get the Cole slaw. We ordered a house side salad. It was literally a huge chunk of iceberg lettuce thrown in a bowl with some of the sides. ($14.00) I ordered the steak frites (34.00) the fries were fine, my steak had these weird pieces (see photo) inside, that were veins or ligaments but def not edible and very chewy and gross. I chewed a few pieces and kept having to over chew and then would spit out the pieces because it was rubbery, after the second piece I noticed the texture and then spit it out, then saw whatever it was that was causing the texture and issue. Seeing that immediately made me lose my appetite. So I was left hungry and turned off by my meal and filled up on calamari and fries. I have ordered this before and it usually comes with a nice amount of slices. Mine came with four pieces of sliced steak. We ordered the calamari and had no complaints. The back end comes to my house and drops off a GC of $25.00! Which to me is an insult. For that they can keep their cheap cop out. I will not be back. We spent $134.00 and tipped $19.00 for a take out order. And all they could give us back for a terrible experience and quality of food was $25.00?! Their salad alone was $14. The cake is $12. So basically come back spend more money and we will cover one simple thing but several of your items were sub par and or gross. I would not recommend. This restaurant took a lot of money and did the bare minimum to fix the issue and threw a minimum amount to appease the customer. But didn't mind taking my hard earned money, which I will now spend elsewhere. I also will be mailing back the card. Whoever came to my condo to drop off the gift card came at midnight. Which to me is weird and an odd time to come to someone's house. I have it on security video.
