    Bakery case

Royal Bagel Bakery is a staple for my family and I, but we typically just order a dose. Bagels and bring them home. Today we ordered breakfast sandwiches and coffee, and had a great experience. The line was a little hectic to order at first, but once we got through it wasn't bad! I would definitely get another sandwich from here, and looking at the bakery case, I want to try some pastries as well! [[HIGHLIGHT]]This spot has the vibe of an old fashioned deli, making the atmosphere inviting.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I stopped in looking for breakfast pastries to enjoy on a Saturday morning. There was a large variety of baked goods and breakfast sandwiches. Everything I tasted was good and I would likely return. The service was efficient and there was adequate parking.

Royal bakery is a low key bakery in Germantown that will easily become your new obsession. I love coming here for any baked good such as bagels, donuts, cookies. They also have delicious sandwiches and make cakes. I always come to get my turkey sausage, egg, and cheese on a toasted bagel and it always hits the spot. 10/10 will recommend! Their Ruben sandwiches are so good too! Service is great! They take your order then will call you when it's ready. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They only have a few tables and they're usually taken up if they're busy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]So if you go don't expect to sit (but you might get lucky with a seat! ) Go early![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

(5/5) Royal Bagel Bakery is that underrated neighborhood gem. The bagels are always fresh, soft inside with the perfect chew, and they don't skimp on the spreads or toppings. Whether I'm grabbing a quick breakfast sandwich or just a classic bagel with cream cheese, it always hits. The staff is friendly, and service is quick -- even when it's busy. Definitely my go-to spot for bagels. Solid every time. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Ambiance is corner shop.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

The absolute best spot for your breakfast in germantown, fresh bagels, great pricesfriendky staff, and they have jalapeño bagels! For real, go and get a toasted jalapeño bagel with bacon, egg, and cheese. You will not be disappointed. They also offer an amazing selection of sweets ranging from cookies to cakes.

Roast beef special on a hard roll.

We got to roast beef specials. Considering they have bakery in their name the bread was hard and old. Not very good.

The food was delicious and service was fast! I had an Asiago bagel with hot pepper cream cheese and it was so so good! I got a black and white cookie to go with it and that was also super tasty.

Stopped here on a Saturday late morning for lunch. Being a first timer - it reminded me of a deli/bagel shop you'd encounter in Manhattan. Plenty of pastry cases with cakes, cookies, bagels, etc. Looking for a deli sand I had a hard time just finding a turkey sandwich - so I went with a Canal St - Turkey, thousand island, lettuce and tomato on wheat. This was good - but the bread wasn't toasted or toasted enough - so the dressing made it quite messy - which rushed me eating it. Not really complaining just explaining. I noticed B&W cookies so I ordered one as well. Not bad - though the cookie part tasted quite bland. Overall good - would return and recommend.

    Lox bagel

I didn't like the way my lox platter looked. I get lox bagels all the time from different places and it never looks like this.

Date of visit: Saturday 10/28/23 Food: I've had the oreo cupcake, Apple fritter, 42nd street sandwich, cinnamon swirl, oreo cake donut, chocolate cake donut, glazed donut, apple turnover, and glazed cake donut. The main standouts for me are the Oreo cupcake and the 42nd street sandwich. The Oreo cupcake is one of the best cupcakes I've had and the frosting is too good. The 42nd street sandwich is pretty good but it's a lil pricey for the portion of food you get. Personally, all the other items have gotten worse with each visit and have become okay or average.

Plain bagel was good. I wish they would have spread the cream cheese more and added way less.

The sandwich was actually the real deal. The meat was super tender, no connective tissues, no chewy meat. The bun was super fresh and soft. This area seems to think that CheesesteakCo up in Baltimore County somewhere or Glen Bernie is the best but no it's not sorry! This Beers & cheers jawn needs to be talked about way more because it was absolutely a good cheesesteak sandwich that is damn near Philadelphia quality.

Tuesday 1/7/2025…read more Came across this spot randomly on Yelp a few years ago and saw they had some popular items like wings and cheesesteaks but what caught my eye most was the different empanada flavors. I made a pickup order over the phone and everything went well. One thing I got notified by the worker was that the empanadas will soon be leaving the menu permanently, so luckily I could try them before the change went into effect. For my order I got: applefest empanadas (2 ct) $6.49, steak and cheese (provolone) $12, and the 12 ct Mexican BBQ wings $16.49. - When it comes to the Applefest empanadas they were decent and they kind of reminded me of the McDonald's apple pies (an item I last tried YEARS ago). But I didn't like the $3.25 cost per empanada and being forced to order the empanadas in 2s-4s-6s without having the opportunity to mix flavors. - The steak and cheese was alright. It didn't wow me or anything but it gets the job done. - The Mexican bbq wings are a pretty good price, but I made a mistake with the flavor as the dry rubbed "Mexican bbq" wings were weak. Luckily, I had some BBQ sauce at home, and adding it to the wings enhanced the experience. Overall, Beers and Cheers is a cool little spot. The wings for the price are pretty good and something I'd recommend, but I honestly can't see myself returning.

But I don't care because this little sandwich shop deserves all the praise I can heap on it. I had a tuna salad sandwich that was perfection! Heaping with luscious tuna, crispy lettuce and a sharp slice of cheddar. Heavenly! But, as good as that tuna sandwich was - as always - it is the professional, perfectionist, friendly and hard working people who run this place that actually keep me coming back. They are good at what they do, nothing more, nothing less. And they do it all with a smile! I will be back, of course, to the Firehouse Deli because it's at the top of its game. The service was good both in person and over the phone. The lady taking my order was helpful and made sure I was all good when picking up the food. - The steak & cheese was alright and was even better with some BBQ sauce. I think the sub could've greatly benefitted from having a house sauce paired with it to make up for the meat's lack of flavorful juices that you would come to expect from a typical Philly. - The seasoned fries were solid, they get the job done. - The fajita melt was solid and the chipotle sauce on it highly elevated the experience. I'm going to need more of that Chipotle sauce, please. - Now I'm more of a hot sub guy over a cold sub guy so I'm testing the waters with the Italian sub. Luckily, the Italian sub is a solid option. It's made very well and the bread is fluffy. Overall, I'd best describe this spot as simple, basic food that's executed very well. If you're in the area, I'd definitely recommend a stop for a quick lunch or quick snack.
