Oh, my look at those cookies and rugelach. Next time....

Bagel lovers are rejoicing! They just opened a Bethesda Bagels in Cabin John Shopping Center. Unlike other Bethesda Bagels, this one has space to sit and eat your food. It is a clean design with light wood colors and a modern feel. Service was great. The line moved quickly and the person who waited on me was nice and helpful. My order came out quickly. I really liked my bagel with nova lox and cream cheese with chives inside. It was delicious and I can't believe I ate the whole thing. I can't wait to go back and pick up some cookies to go with my bagels.

Bethesda Bagels @Cabin John-Open Now! Friend/I visited last Saturday Excited-Bethesda Bagels newest location. In the Cabin John Shopping Center Tuckerman Lane/Seven Locks Road-Potomac, MD. The energy electric-all seating full. Yes this location has a few tables/chairs. We got some bagels to go. So Fresh! Great Customer Service. See Photos.

The best bagels in the DMV in my opinion. Well priced and delicious. I love the deli feel and am grateful that the Potomac location has seating and is more spacious than Bethesda. I almost always get an everything bagel, with lox or chive cream cheese. Cabin John was in desperate need of a new bagel spot and I'm grateful Bethesda Bagels has opened there .

That definitely looks like a plain bagel

$8 for a huge bacon, egg, and cheese. Delicious. Will be coming back to try other flavored bagels and types of spreads.

Here's a polished Yelp Elite-style version with a natural, engaging tone:…read more Bethesda Bagels in Rockville is hands-down one of the best spots for bagel sandwiches in the area. My go-to is the sausage and scrambled egg on a multigrain bagel; it never disappoints. You can actually watch them making fresh bagels, and it shows. The texture is spot on, perfectly chewy on the inside with just the right amount of crisp on the outside. Everything tastes fresh, and service is quick, even during busy times. The staff is always friendly, which makes the experience even better. Their cream cheese is excellent, too rich, flavorful, and a noticeable step up from the typical grocery store options. They also carry cookies and other treats from local vendors, which are definitely worth trying if you have a sweet tooth. If you're craving a solid bagel sandwich, this is the place to go. Bonus: free parking makes it an easy stop.

I couldnt decide which bagel and spread combo to try, but ended up going with the cinnamon raisin and chive spread. At home I usually do that, but with chive and onion, so figured it was worth a try. The bagel was delicious. Lightly toasted, soft, and tasted fresh! The chive spread was a bit too much for me. I think Id stick with plain in the future. The chive was a bit overwhelming, but I am sure those who love chive, would enjoy it. They have several options, including sandwiches and other pastries. Service was pleasant and efficient. There isn't any seating there, but they have a pretty good set up for efficient ordering and pick up. I will definitely be coming back!

I decided to step out of my comfort zone and try a new spot for my post-workout Sunday breakfast…read more Since I normally go to another local bagel shop in the area, I figured why not checkout another bagel restaurant. First, I thought the guy behind the counter was very friendly. The bagel shop has a decent breakfast and lunch menu with, of course, a wide array of bagel. I think there were at least 12 different variety of bagels. For my dining experience, I went with the breakfast combo, which came with two eggs, a bagel, homefries and a canned soda or coffee. The price tag was 13 bucks, well closer to 15 with tax. I'm sorry but based on the establishment and other places in the area, I did not think the breakfast platter/combo was worth the 13 dollar prices, especially since the combo/platter did not come with a meat. I think 8 bucks is a fair price. Also, I thought it was odd that the bagel was not served with cream cheese. Maybe it was on me to actually ask for cream cheese. Although I went with a canned soda, instead of a coffee, for my platter, I was shocked that the place charges for coffee refills. I think the cost of refills were either 50 cents or 50%. I do not think that I've ever dined in a restaurant that charged for coffee refills. Perhaps, this is something new due to the new tariffs that the consumers have been hit with. Although the food was edible, I have a feeling that I will stick to my main Sunday, post-workout bagel spot.

I've lived in the DC area for most of my life, and Goldberg's has the best bagels I've found so far…read more(and, yes, I've had plenty of NYC bagels for comparison). They are slightly crusty on the outside and chewy on the inside. They are the opposite of the one-texture bagel-shaped discs you find at grocery stores. The everything bagel, for example, has the right blend of seasonings and just a hint of salt. If you want your bagel a little crispier on top, stick it in your home oven (or toaster oven) at 350 for 3 minutes. Pro tip: they often bake too many bagels each day, so they freeze them and sell them for half price (by the dozen). Ask for a dozen frozen bagels, and they'll often have some for you. Use the oven tip above (adding a minute or two) to get them to the right temp for quick eating. Overall, this place is bare-bones, but the thrill is in the bagel. Enjoy.

I stopped by about an hour before closing, which may have impacted my experience. By that time, a lot of the bagels were already sold out. That said, the menu was very extensive with tons of bagel sandwich options and other items. There's also some indoor seating, and they sell a variety of snacks, drinks, and bottled waters--almost like a small convenience store. This definitely seems like a great spot for a quick breakfast on the go. The staff was friendly and welcoming, which I appreciated. One suggestion I'd make is to invest in paper menus or QR code menus--the menu was a bit hard to read, especially with so many options. I ordered three onion bagels to go, along with a container of plain cream cheese and a smaller chive cream cheese. Unfortunately, the bagels were disappointing. They were pretty hard and didn't have much onion flavor at all. On the bright side, the cream cheese was amazing--both the plain and chive were super creamy and flavorful, easily the highlight of my visit. I'd be willing to give this place another try, but probably closer to opening hours in hopes of getting fresher bagels. I can see why people like it, and I think timing really matters here.
