Due to the area and I saw this place on top of the hill well semi hill, but anyways, they had a sign that they were open and that they were back in action. I like the fact that they have a drive-through which makes it so convenient and so I attempted to go through drive-through on my first time going there and I eventually had to tell the lady that I was just gonna come in because they had these specialty donuts that you couldn't see on the screen and so I wanted to see what they look like in person so I parked my car went inside. They had all types of donuts Nutella doughnut, Oreo doughnut we had a cinnamon roll doughnut they had a doughnut made out of croissant. They also had other pastries, savory and sweet empanada style. They also had jumbo delicious looking cookies so I got the doughnut that's made out of croissant and that was super delicious and I also had the iced coffee with vanilla and that was very good actually and I also had a breakfast sandwich there that came on a croissant, a sausage, egg, and cheese and at first I was kind of skeptical about it, but when I've been into it was hot it was fresh and it was delicious. Came in for a late Sunday breakfast. The line wasn't very long which was a great thing we were starving. Was greeted shortly after walking in. The service was amazing to say the least. This was a to-go order in which I went in the restaurant. Pros: Most of the staff very friendly. Cons: My BLT had one thin tough slice of tomato (and it was the end slice at that). My bacon was very undercooked. Neither one of our sandwiches were toasted as we requested. My husband's club sandwich was so messy it was difficult to eat. But what bugged me the very most was one of the employees, a young girl, was so unprofessional with her actions today that we will not go back - she was very disrespectful and smart talking to her coworker, thinking it was cute and funny and I told her it was very unprofessional - I'm not sure she cared. This was our second time trying this restaurant in a year. That time, it was "to go order" also which we brought home - and when I got home, there was no bacon or tomato on my sandwich only lettuce and mayo. The stuffed sandwiches are to die for (except the bacon wrapped roast beef one, we weren't a fan of that one) Donuts good, but the cronut was in a class all it's own. And when I got one vanilla cream filled the top of my head blew right off! You can get your donuts filled with vanilla cream, custard or raspberry. Coffee was good. Chicken and cheese roll, and stuffed pepperoni roll were very good. The chicken roll had shredded chicken, mushroom soup and cheese. The pepperoni roll had pepperoni and cheese. Honestly I've been going to this place since I was a child. Right before church I'd get a ham and cheese stuffed sandwich, there was chucks of ham and it tasted like Christmas year round. They changed location with a drive thru which you'd think would be great for them! They immediately change the ham and cheese to slice ham which okay I'll live. Over the past few month their coffee has also gone down in quality. I stop going for a little bit to get the magic back so today is the first time in months (last time I went the coffee was horrible and the donuts were stale, it was 10am when I went) so this time around 11 I go to get a ham and cheese, pep sauce and cheese and donut holes. We order everything they say they only have one flavor of holes which is fine, we go around for the lady to tell us she's out of the pep sauce and cheese one, it's 11 and they're out of so many things? Don't sleep on this donut place! We always like to try and support the local businesses whenever we travel and I'm always on a look out for a good breakfast/donut spot to fill my cravings. With all the grief we've been having during this trip, good food makes the soul feel lighter. Donut King helped give us the happy dance we needed and deserved. The first time we came we tried the Big Pigs and of course some donuts. I had the regular Big Pig and the boyfriend got the Cajun Big Pig. I tried the Raspberry Filled Chocolate Frosted Donut and he can't remember what he got because he stuffed it right in his face and enjoyed it. The second time we came I decided to change it up and try their Stuffed Sausage, Egg, and Cheese and we both tried the Maple Frosted donuts. Both visits were quite the treat. The Big Pigs and Stuffed Sausage, Egg, and Cheese were savory. The donuts were so good, nice and moist and not overly sweet like other places we've been to. The lady who helped us (who seemed like the owner) was very pleasant and helpful in describing the selections. She even mentioned how the Danish recipe was a family recipe so I may have to try that next time. She was so kind and even warmed up our goodies for us so we were able to indulge in our car. WOW had some friends bring us some and we do like a good doughnut and set the bar pretty high. Tim Horton's, Duck Doughnuts, Star Doughnuts, are pretty much the high end standard for us. Donut King beat them all hands DOWN!!!!! These doughnuts even close to a day old were the best we've ever had and we've eaten a lot of doughnuts and the Crownuts are amazing as well. So basically we've placed an order for the next time our friends come to stay with us for an exact duplicate order as we didn't find anything that we didn't absolutely love. They of course are handmade and light, very cake like and the toppings just the right amount its the Goldie Locks thing not too much, not too little, just a perfect product and from what we heard a very good price. The warm pig in a blanket was crispy and flakey on the outside and the hot dog had melty cheese on the inside. If this is wrong, I don't wanna be right! No condiments needed, just get it in your mouth as soon as possible so you can move onto the next bite. The maple donut was fresh and fluffy, just like I like them. The maple icing was perfect. They had a specialty version of the maple donut with bacon on top and I might have to try that next time, just to see how close to heaven I can get. I loved chatting with the staff, they were so sweet! I had to ask why there were pictures of folks holding a big donut and wearing a king's crown? They said if you buy the Big Pink Donut, all profits go to Susan G. Komen. It's only $3.29 and the donut is as big as your head! I don't know how I've passed this shop a million times and never stopped, but I'll never make that mistake again! I went in to grab a few doughnuts for my family and also for their new beignets that I saw them advertise on Facebook. OMG. Those beignets... I will be visiting several times a month just for those! They have tons of doughnut options, as well as giant and tiny pigs in a blanket for breakfast. First time here and it was amazing. The owner was great. I was immediately greeted and informed there was more than what was on display. Which was great news because I ordered a dozen. While I was waiting she gave me a sample of a warm glazed doughnut which even with my picky toddler, she even ate it (only like chocolate usually). The hash brown was so over cooked, recooked, or whatever cooked that it literally had no life to it. It was so flat and hard. I wouldn't give it to an animal. The SANDWICH def came out of the microwave. I'm thinking I'm getting an authentic egg, and it's some precooked round egg with a yellow center.
