I really enjoyed my trip here so much I had to come back. I stopped in on Saturday on my way to church and got a dozen, I was surprised to see how fast they were gone. Next week I got 2 dozen and 25 minis. The customer service here at Rays will always be a phenomenal experience. The moment you walk in, not only do you see an array of beautiful donuts, you see family. They offer other items on their menu such as croissants, bagels, and even breakfast burritos served with an amazing salsa I often come for their vanilla caramel ice blend. I have drove past this place a billion times, yesterday I decided to stop by due to my cravings of fresh homemade donuts. I was greeted by this beautiful older lady with the most inviting smile (she had a gap). Anyways I instantly knew what I wanted so it stopped her from going through the flavors as she was about to. I got 6 pieces and they all were fresh and delicious. The ambiance was clean and the people were kind. I am a foodie so yes visit this business you won't be disappointed. Nothing fancy. No drive through. There's tables to sit at if you want. The two ladies taking orders were friendly. Butttttt the food-- BABEH it's so good! Yesterday was my first time going and I returned today. I had been bragging to my man and I had to take him to try it. I got the burrito both times and they didn't miss. Idk what kind of sausage they use but it's so bomb. Baby they season the eggs and understand the assignment. My boyfriend got the bacon, sausage, egg and cheese croissant and he said it was so good! We also tried the smoothies. I got a pina colada and it was good just a little sweet for me. He got a strawberry smoothie and it was a little tart but still good. Also, yesterday I got the donut holes and they were so soft and bomb. Today I got a half dozen glazed donuts and those were the truth as well. It was the Christmas holiday and my boss was going to have a Christmas feast arranged for us- Sonny's BBQ; great place to eat- and I'd been meaning to bring something special. I let it slip to a couple of people that I'd grab some Ray's Donuts and they went nuts. Now, I'd never had these doughnuts but Yelp and clearly these doughnut loving nutcases gave me an idea of what to expect. My expectations however did not measure up to reality... "These. Donuts. Smell. Amazing. Holyyy s#!t!" Words that had never come out of my mouth erupted forth as my olfactories were tickled by the aroma of the beautifully made doughy and sugary treats. These o-holed wonders have the standard look and feel of your average donut but they somehow managed to pack an extra punch of odory goodness on a freezing cold day in December. And then there's the taste! Oh good Lord above these wee things are prophetic on the tongue too. My accomplices in doughnut decadence swarmed the box but I managed to sneak two away before the flavour locusts devoured them all. The Cinnamon and Sugar was good and the Blueberry donut is truly legit! OMG eating these things can't be legal! After talking a bite of the Blueberry doughnut I dared to dive back into the fray and threatened to fight anyone who tried to keep me from taking the last blueberry doughnut home for my husband. There were challengers but I was not to be denied. My hubby ate it the next day after popping it in the microwave for 10 seconds and it was just as good, if not better. He gave me a piece without me asking; he's good like that. Long story short: go to Ray's Donuts, dazzle your senses, fight your co-workers for the one you love and have a Merry Christmas no matter what day of the year it is. I shall return. read more

The donuts are usually amazing but this new girl doesn't seem to understand that if I order a frosted donut I want the frosting on my donut.. not on the bag, not on the bottom of the other donuts.. I've never had this issue before and have been going here for years now. Suddenly the past few times I've had ugly donuts with half the frosting missing. Ray's Donuts is located on Tara Boulevard and cannot be missed as the word DONUTS is highlighted and lit on the building and signage...and honestly, that is what got me. I had zero intentions of stopping for a snack or coffee, or really stopping at all until that sign pulled the ole cartoon trick and reeled me in with the "scent-trail-hand" motioning me to the donut case. I have heard about Ray's and honestly passed by many of the other locations on the regular, but just never stopped in, especially at this location since I am never on this end of town, so today was a perfect example of the universe speaking to me about Ray's and now I can truly see what all the hype is about surrounding Ray and his famed donuts! First off, those prices! Single donuts hovering around $1 with a dozen around $10!? That is crazy unheard of and I was extra tempted to scoop me up an assorted dozen on the spot, but I held my composure and refrained and just got a single regular chocolate glazed and iced coffee. Per the menu, they serve about 17 different types of donuts, with some having multiple flavors. They have classic donuts, cake donuts, jelly and cream filled, twists, fritters and claws...and even donut holes! As mentioned, I got a plain chocolate glazed and it was delicious! It was light, airy yet firm and pillow-y...in short, it was a dang good donut! In addition to donuts, they also offer a variety of breakfast sandwiches, also priced insanely low around $3 - $4. You can get the classic breakfast meat, egg and cheese or any combination of the sort, on bagel or croissant. Ray's is not all about the food, as they have to give you something good to wash it all down with! They offer your standard hot teas and hot coffees in a few varieties, but they also offer a few iced drinks including iced coffee and Thai tea and if none of that piques your interest then give a smoothie or boba drink a try! Overall, I can see why Ray's is becoming an institution around the Atlanta metro area! With exceptional quality, unbelievable prices and friendly service it is no surprise folks love Ray and his donuts! There is a location closer to me in Marietta, so I definitely will be making more appearances there! read more

I have so many pictures to upload because I've been going to this place almost every morning this week . My sister bought me a bagel and I've been stuck ever since. They even have the perfect Thai tea. It's so sweet . The bagel reminds me of papis store in New York. Such nostalgic feelings every time I take a bite. I don't know who's making my sausage, egg and cheese bagel, but they definitely make it with love. It doesn't taste like that artificial fake bagel from Dunkin' or the weird egg they put on there. Delicious donuts! After an early morning workout, I treated myself to a treat. The store just opened so the donuts were coming out the oven hot and fresh. I purchased a dozen donuts to share with my coworkers. They have a nice variety to select and are fairly priced at under $10 for a dozen and $5.25 for half a dozen. I enjoyed the glazed fried cakes with sprinkles. The red velvet donuts were a hit with my coworkers. The staff were friendly and hooked me up with a few glazed donut holes. Finally the buttermilk bar in all it's glory available in the south. All I can say is I have looked long and hard for a decent donut shop and Ray's is the real deal. The shop is clean. The service pleasant. The price correct. The donuts are straight forward nothing 'elevated' which is why I can't stand sublime & revolution.
