It is likely my new go-to for a savory breakfast pastry. If you like Panera's soufflés or Starbucks' wraps, you'll love Holey Sweet's butter spinach. Anyhoo, on a Saturday afternoon, they had a steady stream of business in and out. If there is any critique, it's that they could have used another staff person to keep the line flowing quicker. It's been a while . But I'm glad to have stopped by! I didn't get to see some old faces but I have no complaints. The variety is available for all taste buds. I came in for 2 dozen assorted and wasn't disappointed at all. The donuts were so fluffy and fresh not overly sweet. The cake donuts were just as soft and not dry. For a dozen assorted will run you about $14+tax. Facility was clean service was quick I was in and out of there. Space is next to a gas station so plenty of parking! These are perfectly made donuts that don't drip oil or excessive sugary, nonsense toppings to mask their shortcomings. The textures are exquisite - both incredibly soft and yet firm with no chewiness - regardless of shape or filling. Today though, today I had the Blueberry Cake Donut and I can now say that these really are the best donuts in Atlanta. Texture, taste, smell, the way they look. You can see and smell the blueberries even before you bite into the donut. The shop is humble at a small gas station, which can be easily missed. Not a fancy place at all but their donuts are my favorite so far because they earn all of the excellent characteristics of good donuts. Flavor and fragrance are well balanced. I like them mostly because they are sweet but not cloying. No sweetness attack at all :) The quality is always too appealing to resist a second bite immediately. And sometimes, because I was so excited by how good they were, I forgot to slow down to enjoy the donut's melt-in-the-mouth thing :) I normally finish one right after I get out of the store. I don't feel the urge of sipping water after some bites because of their considerate sweetness. As a matter of fact, the satisfaction of enjoying the next ones at home with hot tea or coffee are still intact. I hardly taste the flour like some other places, which makes them more special. The fluffiness is always consistently amazing, even when I heat them up the next days. Their traditional glazed doughnut must be moist in the traditional sense. Visual delight and curvature are as typical as other places. Employees are not consistently charming but they are sincere. Such a powerful combination helps the store and their donuts earn my money, even though I know how unhealthy they are :) I'm in love with their cinnamon rolls too. read more

I'm not sure why this place is so highly rated. Probably because this is the best it gets in Stockbridge. This place taste is on par with Dunkin' Donuts. I was expecting hot fresh donuts like Duck Donuts does or a different taste like Voodoo Donuts, but this was a let down. I tried a few different flavors they all kind of taste the same. I just didn't like it. And the shop is in a gas station lot, next to the gas station, not a complex with other businesses. I found my way out of my way here to try it, there was no need. To be honest, I only came here for the Fruity Pebbles donut. I'm not typically into cakey donuts, I prefer the melt in your mouth kind so my expectations were low. The business itself is also quite unassuming since it is connected to a gas station. When I went inside I was warmly greeted even though they were servicing another customer, that was a nice touch. I ordered two Fruity Pebbles donuts and was concerned that they would be thick, dry and cold. I looked around and saw no microwave to reheat my donut. When I got into my car I decided to give one a try prior to warming it up. And boy was I surprised! The donut was light, fluffy and delightfully tasty. This little gem is tucked away next to a gas station off the beaten path. It's a small building with only a few tables for dine in. We are used to Krispy Kreme but wanted a change. They have a great selection of fresh donuts. The donuts are light and airy. The Fruit Pebbles donut caught my attention. They have chocolate or vanilla icing with Fruit Pebbles on top. It adds the perfect crunch to the donut. They also have a Maple Bacon donut. I didn't try that one this time but I will next time. It looked like it had the perfect amount of bacon on top to make a great sweet/salty combination. The apple fritters, cinnamon, and filled donuts are huge. Went to Holey Donuts today for first time, I've seen it and passed by but decided to give it a try. These donuts are the perfect balance, not to sweet, not to soft.
