We patronize this Covington location in Newton Plaza most every day. Most everyday this location gets our order wrong. We now look in our bag and box. And wait at window while they correct order. Today my husband found order wrong after pulling out, and then went inside to correct one of our orders. We got home and his order was wrong. We paid for a English muffin fried egg and extra turkey sausage. It was a croissant one piece of sausage and egg. Tried calling restaurant many times no answer. While sitting in the drive-thru, the customer in front of me had to give her order twice, to two different people. She then waited for confirmation before pulling forward. She sat waiting in excess of 2 minutes. Now on to my experience. My order consisted of 2 medium coffees. Nothing too crazy, in my opinion. I assume the person taking my order understood my request, but I couldn't tell by their incoherent and inarticulate response. When I received my coffees, I noticed they felt a bit lighter than usual. After arriving at my destination, I observed that both cups were only filled about 2/3 full. As others have stated, the service at this location has gone way down, and is seriously lacking. I go to Dunkin' every morning. I would think by day three. Everyone should have known my order. Especially with me ordering the exact same thing. However, from August to today. Some of the staff act as if they do not want to serve me. How is ordering a medium Carmel frozen coffee with extra drizzle at the bottom and whip and Carmel on top confusing?????? Since I order the same thing daily. In customer service it is vital to pay close attention to detail and build relationships with your returning customers. Happy Customers begat more Happy Customers. While standing in line behind another customer overheard the cashier ask the gentleman in front of me if he would like the senior discount. When it was my turn she took my order never mentioned the senior discount and when I asked I got it. My question to Ashleigh H. is why did I have to ask for a discount? This is my regular, weekly DD. The store is small for the amount of business it gets, and this presents a problem when busy. The registers are too close together, so lines are cramped. The drive thru is a hair-pin turn, difficult for larger vehicles. I agree with others that the employees don't seem happy there. I always feel like I am inconveniencing them. Hot foods are inconsistently warm to hot, sometimes even with a cold center. I'm considering going to a different DD in Conyers, which is owned by the same person. They don't seem much happier there, but the building is larger and product is more consistent. read more

The system makes you pick a star rating but honestly, i can't give this Dunkin' location any stars because the drive thru service was so bad. (Inside is closed) The car in front of me stopped at the pick up window, opened the door and talked, held hands with different staff members, shared about her new job, advised the crew inside to get better jobs, etc. etc.... it went on and on. Almost 20minutes later - remember, I'm stuck behind her car and in front of another car with no way out. Finally i unbuckled, turned off my engine and took a deep breath trying to get the right words to ask her to please pull over and go inside to chat while i picked up my order and got back to work. I never got out of the car because she had finished catching up and was moving on. When i moved my car to the window there was a nice but not happy woman working. She stated the car in front of me held the previous manager and they didn't have a manager now. I asked why she didn't park and come in and the woman said she didn't know. She was kind and i hope i was. She looked tired, was unhappy with her job and having someone tell her how great Walmart was on the other side made her feel worse about being where she is. I heard most of the conversation from my car and the ex-manager was giving life advise, job advise, "Come on over to Walmart where I'm at now!" I'll never go back here again. When they completed making the drinks ordered and i turned to corner of the store and could see the line behind me was stretched all the way around the building and all the way to Hwy 278. I don't usually write bad reviews. I do give great reviews by asking for the manager and telling them how well their staff did at my visit. I tell the person helping me "thank you, i appreciate that you came in today and helped me.", and i always tip nicely according to service received. This ... this was the worst customer service ever. I won't be back. And to make it worse, Starbucks opened a new shop just down 278 in Covington and this fact alone should up the customer service game at Dunkin', give the staff a jolt to take pride and do the best and keep things moving, keep smiling, make it so good the public wants to be a part of the joy that's happening inside. I love Dunkin' and when I'm in town I usually try to stop by for my favorite drink. I was heading out of town in the morning to pick up a drink and the girl behind the counter was especially rude. She messed up my original drink order and when I said it wasn't my drink she handed me back $3 straight from the cash drawer. I work in a coffee shop so I understand how it can be hard sometimes to get everything perfect but the line starts to cross when you begin to be rude. I came back to reorder the drink and she was still just as rude to me 5 minutes later. She cut me off more than once and tried to still put in a wrong drink. I understand if she is new or just doesn't understand but customer service is what keeps a business going. I was forced to this location today because of a mess up on the app sending my order from the location that I always visit to this place. When I arrived the girl at the drive-thru window had her back to me as she texted on her cell phone. Another employee placed my order on the counter in front of her and she continued to text for another minute until she decided that she could turn around and hand me my order which was ofcourse filled incorrectly. Without saying a word, she turned back around and went straight back to texting on her phone. I would not recommend going to this Dunkin' EVER!!! Today I went in with the hopes of getting professional and speedy service and got the complete opposite. I was rung up by a young guy named Isaiah. There were only three employees working so I gave him the benefit of the doubt when it came to speedy service. Once I ordered and payed, I waited by the side counter for my drinks. His girlfriend (whom he introduced to the staff) walked in and he began making a drink for her, completely ignoring me and my order. After completing her order, he steps away from the counter and began hugging and talking to her in the corner of the store. It took about 10 minutes and another employee to ask me what I was waiting on before I was told that they were out of the product that I already ordered and paid for! From there the young lady made me another drink all while this jack**s stood there hugging and playing around with his female companion. It took everything in me not to cause a scene. I would not recommend going there and am going to be complaining to corporate. This kid really needs to learn about respect and professionalism or he will not make it far in the world! Oh DD.... I walk into your establishment wearing a "but first coffee" shirt with a big orange and pink DD upon my bosom advertising for you. I don't run I live on DD coffee. I must have forgotten to remove my invisibility cape. As I am trying to place an order the space cadet behind the register, in comes the UPS man and granted UPS men are usually easy on the eyes, she focuses her attention on him. I disappeared to her and then she went to the back with the other employees that were not working either. I kept saying excuse me I was the only customer in the place. The staff is extremely helpful and willing to answer any questions you may have, which when you have someone like me with special dietary needs, is very nice to come across. They've always gone above and beyond to make sure my drinks are exactly what I ordered. They take the time to remember their customers, and that says a lot about them as a whole. It's not my first choice, but this DD is particularly terrible. I used to go here to get a cappuccino blast but with the boost, which is a Baskin Robins drink. I have been left multiple times without the boost. This is very irritating because this drink is $7 with the boost added. This is very high but it's my only option around here. I've tried and tried to give this place another chance but today was a turning point. I knew immediately that my drink was wrong because it was thicker than it should have been if the shot of espresso was added. I took a drink because I had to know and I could tell right off the bat that the ice cream was all I could taste. I asked the girl in the window if the boost was there, she asked another girl and told me yes. I told her it didn't taste like it and she said "She said it's in there". I didn't want to cause a scene, but if they were worried about the customers at all she would have just remade the drink. They have now lost my business forever. DON'T EVEN TRY YA'LL!! read more

The only problem is that it needs to be a little bigger like other dds... and the drive through is a little difficult to navigate through. I'm definitely turning into a regular here. The staff seems to be the same since I started to go there. Which I really like. I get consistently good service and product. I love The DD app that allows me to get points towards a free any size coffee. It's a great program that keeps me coming back. Their sandwiches are simple yet very satisfying. Really it's a 3.5. It's average. The donuts and pastries are delicious. I've never ordered their foods. But I absolutely hate it when I order a coffee and it comes to me with the lid not all the way on and it's completely full to the top so I have to dump some out *somewhere* to add cream and sugar if I want it. Sometimes their coffee hits the spot when it's black but other times it tastes burnt or old and I just have to add sugar I help hide that taste. The employees may say "welcome" but it isn't with a smile on their face. I feel like an inconvenience. Sometimes I'll try to make a joke or make them laugh, just to see if it's possible to make them smile. Sometimes they do and sometimes they don't. The latest time I went there I met an employee who was coming out of the restroom. I'm concerned that the sink was dry and there were no paper towels. She may have been cleaning it and went to grab stuff to restock but who knows? For all I know she used the bathroom and didn't wash her hands. It isn't what you say you did, it's how you appear. It's a great spot for a quick coffee. But be cautious when they hand you a hot cup of joe. read more

This is the worst Dunkin' my girlfriend and I have ever gone. We have been living in Covington for a year and she always stops by there on her way to work and rarely do they get her orders right. Today I went to pick us up breakfast and the woman repeated my order back to me "Iced Coffee, Three Splendas, and Cream on the side" then proceeded to give me hot coffee with everything inside. I returned it and said "I ordered ICED COFFEE with 3 Splendas and Cream on the side." She repeated exactly what I said back to me. She turned around to get me the order and proceeded to put all the cream and splenda inside the Iced coffee and just shove it through the window saying "Here." I was so mad I just drove off. Would not recommend to anyone simply because the staff is rude and when they mess up and order, proceed to pout and be bitter about it to you. read more
