January 2024: Southern food in the heart of Covington GA. Tastes like grandma's food. If you came to Covington and it wasn't for the vampire tv show high five! The lines at the restaurant featured in the show was huge so we walked around town and found this place. Food was ok, diner style. We got the country fried steak with gravy and it was a Saturday so we got some of the veggies of the day: potato salad, fried green tomatoes, Mac and cheese, green beans and yams. Food came with cornbread and a roll. It was my very first time trying fried green tomatoes and it was too salty for me. I'll try it from another place but I didn't like this one. The service was good and the people were nice and I feel bad to say it but I didn't really like the food that much. My husband enjoyed his meal. We went in January btw.

I go here numerous times when I'm in town and am NEVER disappointed!!! From the coffee, to the grits, to the waffles... you can't go wrong. I finally got to try the lunch as well and it was also amazing!!! Love the staff and all their dishes!!!

Adorable place set back in time. I had this place on my list for a while and I decided to go there for lunch. I found out that they close at 4pm and it was almost 3pm. Luckily I still had time to get a bite. They even took someone in for a sit down meal around 3:45pm. I noticed they do alot of take out orders as well. I had a bacon Cheeseburger deluxe and a sweet tea and all was delicious. The restaurant is offset from the town center but still in it so the views are limited. This allows for exploring the town center before or after eating. I think the place is family run and the service is great, I plan to go back and try more dishes.

Staff very sweet and friendly. The food taste fresh and wonderful. My pork chop is perfect- tender and juice with crisp crust. They have coffee mate, French vanilla creamer, which is my favorite so I'm very happy I love this little place. It would be fun to bring my husband for a breakfast date here.

This place was a nice find. It's homey and the customer service was superb. Reminds me of a spot where everyone knows each other. The food didn't take forever to come out. They have a fish option but it's only Tilapia no other option. There aren't many vegetarian options on the menu either.

They also have some merch for sale, which adds to the vibe. I ordered a vanilla latte with oat milk and the egg and cheese breakfast sandwich on a croissant. Both hit the spot. Simple, fresh, and exactly what I wanted. The place itself is really cute, and the bathrooms are unisex and very clean (which I always notice). Staff was friendly and everything felt easy. It's also only about a 3-5-minute walk to the main square, but just far enough away that it feels a little calmer and not packed with tourists like some of the other coffee spots. Definitely a great place to stop if you want something a little more low-key.

They also had a really beautiful outdoor area behind the shop with hammocks. Unfortunately, it was too cold to utilize it that day, but nice to know it's there! They had posted the following day that they were having an artisan market with live music and I was planning to go but we had to abandon our AirBnB unexpectedly due to a sewage pipe emergency under the street in front of the house. I don't live far, but I've had a hard time finding spots to post up for a bit outside of Privi at Stonecrest. From my first visit, I felt so welcomed. The staff was friendly and the menu had plenty of options. I've been a couple of times now, and I have to admit--I haven't quite nailed my coffee order yet. That's completely on me though. The first time, I tried "Falling in Love with Biscoff." It looked amazing, and so did the pastries, so I added a slice of banana bread. That was the mistake--because it was so good that everything after just couldn't compete. The drink was way too sweet for me, especially after that banana bread. On my next visit, I decided to keep it simple with a matcha, but someone suggested adding blueberry syrup. Knowing I don't usually do flavors in my matcha, I went for it anyway. Again... on me!
