Decided to pick some donuts up on the way to the office and donut boss was the closest on the GPS. It's right on the corner of beach across from the business Costco. When I came in the place was busy, lots of people were ordering and the lady at the front still managed to say hello to everyone who walked in. The donut case was stacked with all the favorites. Everything looked fresh and gave me that feeling of being a kid and getting to choose my donut! Loved it. I got a mixed dozen for $17. Seems pretty standard so no complaints there! If I could give this place -5 stars, I definitely would. There is an older lady who works here and consistently provides very rude customer service. I asked if she could add a little ice to my hot coffee because my hands were not clean. She pointed to the ice and told me to get it myself. When I explained that my hands were dirty, she started making faces and rudely said, "GET IT." After that, I wanted to order a donut but was deciding between a chocolate bar and a maple bar. She impatiently asked, "What do you want now?" in a raised voice. I ended up saying, "Just give me anything." She then threw the donut onto the counter. I told her that this was not a good way to treat customers, and she replied, "I DON'T CARE." When I said I would not be coming back because of the way she treated me, she responded, "I don't care. I don't want your business," and walked away to continue cleaning. Unfortunately, this is not the first time she has treated me this way. After reading the reviews for this donut shop, I noticed many other customers have had similar experiences and left reviews describing the same rude behavior. I have NEVER been treated so disrespectfully at a restaurant/food establishment IN MY LIFE! I used to come here all the time, but the quality had gone down and I stopped. However, this morning I wanted to surprise my daughter with donuts before work and this was the closest spot. The Asian woman at the front took my order and was very rude. I initially wanted hot chocolate then immediately said never mind I'll get the iced frappe and she she acted like it was the worst thing for me to do. I ignored that and she handed me my donut and what I thought was my 2 sandwiches. I noticed a young man also working and I went next door to pull money out so I can tip him for how hard working he is. I come back into donut boss and the woman is screaming at me that I stole someone's donuts! I look in my bag and see my donut with 2 other donuts. The man told me that he didn't understand why she was screaming because it was just a misunderstanding. She told me that my stuff was stilll being made and to wait my turn, excuse me? You handed me the bag with his donuts in it!! I'm so upset at this point after she humiliated me in front of a place full of people. I'm waiting for my frappes and she hands me my stuff and I ask where was my second donut ( I initially ordered two but the bag only had one). She said she only charged me for one, I told her to make sure since she's making so much mistakes (no apology to me btw). I can tell as she's looking at my receipt that she did make a mistake, but says no she didn't (upon further inspection I realize she actually charged me for less then I owed!) Anyway, before I left I did ask the young man if he keeps all his tips that people give him and he said yes, and so I tipped him and thanked him for all his hard work and kindness. I will never come back to this establishment again. People like her give businesses a bad name. Got my order wrong, charged me wrong, and called me a thief. I could have made a scene but chose kindness instead. I suggest she learn to do the same. This place is pretty run down and dirty. The old lady was rude making her statement on me coming too late for my TooGoodToGo order when they had closed at 7pm, and I got there at 6:33pm, she has no respect , complained on how she wanted to leave at 7 and not stay any later. Refusal to take anyone or any order after 6:30,, which isn't okay because their closed at 7 on Google, yelp and Apple Maps??? Honestly corporate should get involved and replace her lmfao. The menu has a number of breakfast sandwich options and other drinks made to order. The woman who helped us was very friendly, patient and quick. I only ordered donuts and picked up a Gatorade for my kid. We decided on half a dozen donuts that we picked individually. I also got a dozen donuts holes ($2.25). The total for came to $13.00 The donuts themselves were average. Nothing specifically stood out to rave about. I think the donut holes were my favorite part though. Awful doughnuts, all around. The dough itself is bland and flavorless. The decoration aspect appears as though they couldn't care less (couldn't even be bothered to finish mixing the red and blue food coloring on the 'taro' Doughnut glaze? The icings themselves have an off-putting crunch to them due to the undissolved sugar in the mixes.. which you can visibly SEE on top. (For the record, I got the matcha, taro, glazed cronut and a chocolate filled. This cost about $8.) The workers themselves seemed annoyed that they had to help me when I didn't know what I wanted right away. Then seemed even more annoyed when I asked what filling the round Doughnuts had. Ok? I overlooked that, however.. Could you perhaps not completely smash my doughnuts with the tongs?? These doughnuts were not worth the money, or to even swallow. I love this place! I've been stopping by Donut Boss on and off for the past few years. The ladies here are always so friendly, warm and welcoming. For someone who suffers from anxiety that I must take medication for, I get nervous having to interact at all with anyone, even before with other experiences at other donut shops. But here I feel very welcomed. :) Their donuts are always so delicious! Perfectly soft, chewy and moist. They really live up to their name! This morning I ordered a dozen togo for me and my coworkers, and I was pleasantly surprised when I opened up the box and saw they threw in a handful of donut holes for me too. So sweet! Literally! Hehe. I also heard that later on in the day they have killer deals on their donuts! Like a third of the price for a dozen. Keeping them fresh for each day. Oh! Also! Donut Boss is located right next to 7-11 in the same plaza as the Wok Experience. I've never had trouble parking in this plaza. The interior was cute. I liked their donut-themed wallpaper and tables. They have donut-painted chairs which really fascinated me. The workers were really nice. The guy who was stocking the fridge with drinks when we came in was super helpful and friendly. He informed us that their specialty donuts run out by noon. We came around 2-3pm so we couldn't try their green tea donuts since they were already out. We got a taro donut to try and donut balls (I counted 9 for $1 - odd amount, why not give one more to make it ten? lol) The taro donut had a VERY strong taro flavor. I thought it was good but I wouldn't get it again just because I prefer regular glazed donuts. Their donuts are fairly cheap and reasonably priced. I would recommend coming in before noon to try their special donuts. They also have other pastries here. I would come back next time to try their jalapeno/ham and cheese croissants! read more

It had a roasted flavor but it was so good. Bf said if tasted just like ones you get in Vietnam) Everything was delicious, 5/5. Our total (before getting the Viet iced coffee) was $9 and some change, that's pretty good! The owner is a nice Vietnamese lady. DB had their official grand opening this weekend and they were awesome enough to offer free donut or coffee til noon. I was so happy to see first and foremost they had taro donut! For those who doesn't know Taro, it's the light purple one! And anyone who knows me, knows I am a sucker for anything ube or taro! The sizes of their donuts were definitely larger in comparison to Krispy Kreme or Friendly Donuts in Orange. Dough was light and the taro was creamy and not overly sweet. This was definitely my favorite out of the bunch so I ll be sure to get more of these when I return. Their ham and cheese croissant was also one of my favorite. Cheese perfectly melted and was still slightly warm. The others I tried... Oreo-good for oreo lovers and who loves chocolate. Really rich and chocolatey. Green tea - pretty good. OG glaze and chocolate sprinkle -ok. Buttermilk - loved it! Maple bacon - was ok. Service was fast and friendly. Owners Kevin and Erica greeted everyone with a smile. Aside from coffee , they have refrigerated beverages as well. There was also several tables available if you want to hang out and inhale your donuts among friends which I did.
