Where Modern meets Americanized Chinese food. FOOD: Dramatic uptick in prices within 5 months. Lunch used to be all the same prices (except for solely veggies) and now they are varied prices. Ordered WALNUT SHRIMP which was delicious (but taste and flavor is not anything unique, special or extraordinarily). Also ordered BLACK PEPPER WAYGU BEEF which I now don't know the difference between regular beef since every one seems to call every beef "Waygu" these days. I liked the flavor but I didn't like the bite of these chunks of beef. It was tough and rough. Strangely had green snow peas which isn't the typical. Soup can't be picked. Egg roll can't be picked. Salad can't be picked. Had three options of white rice, fried rice, and chow mein. SERVICE: Overall wasn't very helpful BUT would provide his own personal preference if you gave him options to pick from. Had to ask directing questions. Didn't do much as a whole bottle of water was left at your disposal. Tea costs money. Asked "how is it" once. Messed up the order but corrected it with no extra charge. Different individual brought out the dishes. AMBIANCE: To me, this location was romantically lit and wasn't too loud. However, it definitely geared towards elderly Caucasians. Host wasn't Asian which made it equally strange but interesting because didn't know the simplest of Mandarin. Definitely not a place for someone who is hungry let alone on a budget or in need of a translator. Would I come back? Honestly no because there's much tastier Asian food at a fraction of the price.

General tsos chicken

Amazing food!!!! We loved everything we got especially the general tsos chicken. Great portion sizes as well. The service was solid - food comes out quickly and the prices are reasonable for the quality and portion size. The tables are a little close together we were kind of on top of the table next to us.

Potstickers and the lychee specialty drink

Be prepared for this restaurant to be very crowded on a Saturday night! It's super popular! The only downside to that is the restaurant itself is small. So tables are very crammed together. I wouldn't recommend going here if you're hard of hearing or sensitive to loud noises. You do have to talk very loud to hear your party. As for the food - I tried the potstickers 8/10 (I've had better) Honey walnut shrimp has a different type of fried batter and I felt it needed more sauce. 5/10 Specialty fried fish with a sweet sauce and pine nuts was delicious 8/10 Fried rice was the STAR 10/10! Service was fantastic our waiter he looked like the guy from love island TV show Pepe so we had a laugh out of that. Lastly, be prepared to spend a lot of money. More than other local Chinese restaurants. This is definitely an upscale Chinese restaurant so the dishes start at around $22 each. Overall- I would definitely give this restaurant another try and order dumplings, eggplant & fried rice!!

Wow! Blown away! Amazing food!!! Moody and cozy ambiance. Hosts were kind and inviting. The food!!!!! Absolutely delicious! This food is fresh, the best ingredients, and well presented. I am not a fish eater and their slay and pepper fish appetizer was so crispy and melt in your mouth yummy! The only thing I would change is a larger portion. The food is pricy because it's so good and the best ingredients, so a little more would be amazing of course. It is family style for dinner which is really great! So you will need 3-4 dishes for a family of four. Counting down the days until I can come back!

Lunch specials = good deal with soup, egg roll and nicely plated. We ordered the shrimp, orange chicken, and beef. One had noodles and sadly the noodles were cold so we informed our server. Overall would have been a better dining experience, but basic serving temp of chow mein didn't make the mark.

Tofu with Wagyu Beef

Really not bad for an Asian restaurant in Danville. Just expected a higher end feel and higher end prices. We had it family style to compare a lot of dishes. The portions could be bigger for the price you pay. The egg fried rice was whatevs, Mary's chicken was tender, wagyu tofu was fantastic. That was the best dish there. Honestly it was just a cool place try out. The inside was nice and modern. It felt like an elevated dining experience.

On this rainy evening, we decided to try Donhao Modern Cuisine. We ordered spicy wontons, mom's pan-fried dumplings, wagyu beef with broccoli, a combination chow mein, jasmine white rice, and brown sugar panna cotta. We were pleasantly surprised by every dish containing animal protein. The meat was tender and succulent, a remarkable feat because it is easy to overcook the meat, which would have made it harder to chew and less enjoyable. The service was friendly, and the restaurant was clean. Ample parking on this night.

No complaints! First time trying this restaurant today for lunch. Ordered a bunch of different entrees and all the food came out hot and delicious. The service was friendly and attentive. My favorite was the Mongolian beef.

The food was the best Chinese food I have tasted in years. It's a blend of Mandarin and Cantonese cuisine, that transported us back to Beijing, Xian and Hong Kong. The ambiance was spacious and appetizing. Service was polite and very efficient. Very reasonable prices and plenty of parking to top off an amazing lunch on Easter Sunday.

Dining room looks very upscale for a mom and pop operation. Staff is very gracious and accommodating. I was there for a late lunch once. Watched a family of 5 walk in wanting to sit down and order. The restaurant was technically closed for a staff lunch and reset for dinner. The front door was unlocked only to let stragglers like me and another table out after finishing our meal. The server was nice and let the family stay. Great customer service isn't the only reason for the 4 stars. AW has amazing value lunch deals. Love the simple stirfries best. Healthy but tasty. Lots of quality veggies. Highly enjoyed the veggie and shrimp stirfry. The string bean beef is also yummy. My sister thinks their hot and sour soup is great. I love the crunchy woodear mushrooms while she likes the flavor. We both appreciate the kitchen not skimping on the tofu, bamboo shoots and egg. Not everything is a favorite tho. Tried the mushu for takeout once. Didn't enjoy AZ's version. Also didn't enjoy their veggie eggrolls. Wrapper was good and crispy but veggie filling was oddly mushy. Happy to find Amazing Wok as our regular neighborhood place closed recently. AW is a few miles further but it is now our "go to" Chinese American restaurant. Will gladly return to explore the extensive menu.

My family and I were in the mood for Chinese food so I did a quick yelp search for the area and saw…read morethat this place was recommended and highly favored! We called in a pretty big food order, for the price and quality of food I was very happy! We ordered their wor wonton soup that included crab and calamari! I've never had wor wontons soup with this included it was delicious but just noting that incase anyone is anti seafood. We also ordered their pork fried rice, chicken chow mein, beef and broccoli, sweet and sour pork and finally salt and pepper pork. Everything was absolutely delicious! There was no excessive grease or burnt flavor on the food. Everything tasted so fresh and beyond delicious it was great! Finding good quality Chinese food is so difficult to find in our area so I'm super happy to have found this restaurant! I believe my family has tried this restaurant before during covid or right after covid but we haven't returned since and now we will be! The staff during pick up was super helpful and let us know they have chili oil, utensils and other condiments if we wanted and of course we said yes. Their chili oil added such a great flavor to their food and the soy sauce packets they did provide did not taste stale at all!! The inside of the restaurant was really nice as well. Not too small not too big but still had that classic Chinese restaurant feel that's big on customer experience and care. I'm so happy we rediscovered this business! We will be back again very soon! We'll have to dine in next time.

Wanted to go here because our friends have taken us to this place for many years. They loved it and…read moreso did we ...until the restaurant got their order wrong. They got a different meat than the chicken that they ordered. When they called the restaurant, they were told to never come back. Very confused and highly disappointed by this kind of customer treatment. Even after writing this, they likely still won't address the mistake or make amends and give the chicken dish they paid for. Due to health reasons, the red meat couldn't be eaten. They seem like they just don't care about the customer.
