What a waste of money. The chicken is raw and their shrimp Fried rice only have two shrimps.

We live walking distance from this restaurant and tonight was our first visit. We usually go to the restaurant down the street and today we wanted to try a different Chinese restaurant and yelp helped us to find China Gourmet. We found out that this restaurant has been open for 11 years which is great because it's a nice little gem with plenty of free parking. Tonight we ordered the boiled wonton with peanut sauce, the wonton soup, the seasonal vegetable delight, the Singapore fried noodles, and mayo tofu. The boiled wonton with a peanut sauce might be my favorite dish although it was a little too spicy for the children. I liked it so much I will order it again. The won ton soup is a staple and the baby loved it so this will be ordered again as well. Our daughter said that the broccoli from the vegetable delight was well marinated which is great because I love when the kids eat vegetables and actually enjoy it. Usually Singapore noodles are too spicy for me but I like it here because it is mild spicy which meant even the baby can eat the Singapore noodles and he was in love with them also. I need to add that the customer service here is amazing. Shirley was very helpful in helping us order and asking us what we needed. It feels like visiting a friendly neighbor that you just want to hang out with and eat what's in their fridge. I'm glad we came here and we will be back soon!

Delicious and great for takeout. Service was fast and friendly. Ordered a variety of dishes: kung pao chicken, snow pea prawns, beef and broccoli, green bean chicken, fried rice, chow mein and everything came out great. They even called to let us know when the order was ready! Highly recommend.

If you really enjoy shrimp and lobster sauce with the brown sauce, not the clear one you will love this place. I had the lunch special the shrimp and lobster sauce with a brown gravy and black bean sauce w/steamed rice...It was so delicious. They're cuisine is mandarin style. The staff was super quick, prompt, friendly, and attentive. The eggroll, which was complementary came with a dash of hot mustard along side, the sweet and sour dipping sauce, which I appreciate it very much/ rare! This little place is tucked on a corner of a small shopping center near the Hospice Thrift store.

Updated review for Doordash delivery, specifically for dinner: As of this review, Doordash still lists this restaurant as Sunrise Chinese Restaurant at the same address. Regardless of which name they use, Sunrise is now our top Chinese delivery place for dinner. 5 stars! What's special about dinner? The entrees are huge for the price you pay, and the quality of their meat, veggies, and fish are consistent. Fish filets cooked perfectly with ginger-scallion flavors. Super-soft beef whether you opt for spicy Mongolian Beef or savory Beef and Assorted Veggies. Chicken that's super silky and juicy in Chicken and Assorted Veggies. If you want spicy, go for Kung Pao Chicken. If you like some sweetness and tanginess added with that spice, try the Orange Peel Chicken. They also have a lunch menu with rice plates, but I like the dinner menu better since you get more variety and the portions are better for sharing. Favorite Dishes: * Fish Sautéed with Snow Peas * Orange Peel Chicken * Mongolian Beef * Chicken with Assorted Veggies * Beef with Assorted Veggies * Seasonal Vegetable Delight

    Vegetable tofu 4/5 stars

A solid 4.5 stars. Delicious is what I can say... Haven't been to this restaurant in months and decided to have Chinese tonight. This restaurant is tucked away in the Smart and Final shopping center, and many would never knew it existed, only by word of mouth or passing by it while shopping in the nearby stores. From what I can remember its been here forever, with new ownership over the last few years. Food: 1.Lemon Chicken {5/5 stars, $12.95} - Sweet and tangy lemon sauce with just the perfect amount of breading with juicy and tender chicken inside. One of my favorites. 2.Beef Chow Fun {5/5 stars, $10.95} - Large flat rice noodles with delicious veggies from onions, bean spouts, and green onions. Some may find it greasy, but ours was not. 3.Kung Pao Tofu {4/5 stars, $9.95} - Spicy vegetarian dish with huge chunks of tofu with mixed veggies in a spicy sauce. Tofu had weird texture though. Service: Little slow for pick up, but friendly and direct. Overall: A nice family owned restaurant with lots of delicious offerings and friendly service. Although, a little pricey id admit.

    Beef chow fun(10.95) too greasy..

Dining room looks very upscale for a mom and pop operation. Staff is very gracious and accommodating. I was there for a late lunch once. Watched a family of 5 walk in wanting to sit down and order. The restaurant was technically closed for a staff lunch and reset for dinner. The front door was unlocked only to let stragglers like me and another table out after finishing our meal. The server was nice and let the family stay. Great customer service isn't the only reason for the 4 stars. AW has amazing value lunch deals. Love the simple stirfries best. Healthy but tasty. Lots of quality veggies. Highly enjoyed the veggie and shrimp stirfry. The string bean beef is also yummy. My sister thinks their hot and sour soup is great. I love the crunchy woodear mushrooms while she likes the flavor. We both appreciate the kitchen not skimping on the tofu, bamboo shoots and egg. Not everything is a favorite tho. Tried the mushu for takeout once. Didn't enjoy AZ's version. Also didn't enjoy their veggie eggrolls. Wrapper was good and crispy but veggie filling was oddly mushy. Happy to find Amazing Wok as our regular neighborhood place closed recently. AW is a few miles further but it is now our "go to" Chinese American restaurant. Will gladly return to explore the extensive menu.

This is a place where I would order to-go when my family and I crave for Chinese food. It's not the most authentic Chinese food, but their food is still very awesome. I always order their lunch special, especially love their Kungpao Beef with rice. You can substitute with fried rice, which is the best fried rice by far as an American-Chinese restaurant. Lunch special also comes with soup, they usually serve hot and sour soup, but by surprised from yesterday order, they gave wonton soup. First time ever to try their wonton, but unfortunately, it's not my favorite. Soup itself is tasty, but the wonton wasn't that great. I'm not saying it tastes bad, it tastes still very good, but when you bite into the wonton, I feel it is just fill with meat. Maybe I'm used to shrimps are in the wonton. But this is still my favorite American-Chinese restaurant in the area, I am sure I will keep coming back.

The wines by the glass are awesome, if you like Chard, like my wife, they have Frank, Rom and Far Niente, all for $18. That is a steal for all 3, especially Far Niente. Most place charge $20 to $25 in Danville and rarely see Far Niente by the glass. The prices look reasonable on all the wines by the glass, so go get some! They also have great cocktails ($16, great price), my 2 favorites so far are Watermelon Seduction (4 Stars) and Pomtini (4 Stars, get on the rocks). Their bartenders mix the perfect balance, never too sweet or tart, just right! Food notes: Tang's Fried Rice (3 Stars, $30 with chicken, beef, shrimp, so 2 Stars) The base price for fried rice was $19, ok pricy but if you ask for combination fried rice (chicken, beef and shrimp), the price is $30, $11 increase. They charge for each protein, ridiculous! The rice was not that great, they didn't use a long grain rice, some sort of short grain, but not fat, still thin, like the rice was broken in half. All the ingredients were fresh, but nothing special. And the egg, no large chucks, just tiny bits mix in. Szechuan Green Beans with chicken (4 Stars, $20 with chicken). The green beans were fresh, not overcooked, still slightly crunchy. The sauce had some heat and the chicken was cooked perfectly. Roasted peanuts were added, nice touch! Rolling Lettuce Cups with Chicken (4.5 Stars $17) The lettuce cups were perfectly cut from the head lettuce, no ruff edges, easily separated and large. One of the best execution of lettuce cups I've seen! The chicken filling was also awesome! It was not serviced with plum sauce, kinda missed it, but instead some thin sauce, good, not sure exactly what, but definitely not plum. Pork Belly Bao (5 Stars) Really good, get some! Mongolian Beef (3 Stars) The beef was thin sliced and good quality, but the sauce was to sweet, heavy on hoisin, plenty of sliced onion and green onion. No heat. Kung Pao Chicken (3 Stars) I liked the shiitake mushrooms, but the rest was just okay. Shu Mai (4.5 Stars) Really good filling to the top, good size dumping (almost have to cut in half to eat) serviced with chili sauce. I mixed some table soy and chili sauce together, perfect dipping sauce. Yo's Rock Shrimp with Sriracha Mayo (3.5 Stars) Good quality shrimp, nice and lightly batter, deep fried but not over cooked. Until next time...
