Good quality beef, nice balance between spice and texture in the rice, this is a really great restaurant!

WOW, I was really impressed with this place. I came here honestly not really expecting the level of…read moresushi that I got. The Toro and Santa Barbara Uni were noticeably just so high quality. The uni was a vibrant orange. I was talking with my friend when I first took a bite of the Toro, and literally had to pause the conversation with how surprised I was by its texture, truly feeling like a piece of Wagyu. It was overall just so much sashimi as well for the $42 price tag -- you could honestly split it with someone. They also had a gluten-free menu and provided gluten-free tamari, which was appreciated.

To start, their Gyoza and Caramelized Brussels Sprouts are prime examples of items often seen but enjoyed in a new way. They have my favorite Specialty Rolls in town - filled with top quality fresh fish, original flavor combinations, and the sweet/spicy combo my palate prefers. "Land & Sea," and "Kiss Kiss" are 2 I love to rotate depending on my mood. You cannot go wrong with a variety of fresh fish served in generous portions served in classic but delicious ways, accenting natural flavors. This visit Alisa provided professional service with quick turnaround, and I tried something new - Garlic Edamame is charred and best eaten while dining alone. My favorite Salmon Nigiri is always fresh, low-sodium soy may not be traditional, but cuts the wasabi and was thoroughly enjoyed! Atmosphere is lovely for a strip-mall shop - piano Jazz and cozy booths, along with private dining rooms make this space ready for all occasions!

Maybe I can be a vegan i appreciate a place that doesn't rely on social media or influencers. Though the interior is definitely "instagrammable", counter style service, Asian flavored ice creams(taro, thai tea, miso...), unique dishes, snacks, and drinks (matcha limade). There's even a nice patio and private room for events. And there is PARKING! A place without parking these days will make me think twice about going. Just saying...

They were beautifully presented and the spices they put on the outside were surprisingly tasty. We also really enjoyed the potstickers and shrimp tempura. The katsu set was solid overall, and I absolutely loved the pickled vegetables that came with it. They also sell the pickles up front as grab-and-go containers, which I was very tempted to take home. The karaage was probably the only thing I wouldn't order again, and the miso soup was unfortunately very plain and watery compared to everything else. A small touch I appreciated was the cookie that came with the set. It was simple but really nice. They were out of the ice cream flavors we originally came for (black sesame), which was disappointing, but we ended up trying the miso caramel flavor and it was surprisingly delicious. The waffle cone was a little old, chewy, and stale. One thing that really stood out was the service. The cashier had one of the most genuine, sincere smiles and was such a pleasure to order from. Overall, definitely worth visiting for the onigiri. I already want to come back to try the matcha and black sesame ice cream flavors next time.

Trio Toro Box (no shellfish) - 3 pieces of fatty tuna, fatty salmon and yellowtail belly. 10/10. The caviar and other toppings were a great touch. Itamae 10pc Box - tuna, salmon, yellowtail, sea bream, sweet shrimp, white fish and I believe scallop. 10/10. The soy sauce was homemade and even their wasabi tasted fresh. For dessert, I had the fruit sando which was freshly made. You can even see them making it in the kitchen. Definitely looking forward to going back to try other items on their menu.

I went there on a Friday morning around 10:15 and I was about the 5th in line. The line was reasonable, but I like to get there early so that all the options are available. I've gone later, when there is no line, but you are limited in choices. Let's start with the food. You can definitely not go wrong. Every item is beautifully presented and a piece of art, almost too beautiful to eat, ALMOST... I've tried a variety from their sushi combinations and they're all good. I've also tried a few of the sandos and my favorite are the Pork Katsu, lobster, and egg salad. The service is always friendly. It's a small store front and seems like mostly family run, but I could be wrong about this. Often Chef Choo himself is there to help greet people at the door. If you've never been, I highly recommend. Whenever I have an excuse, I definitely stop by to treat myself.

From the very first sip of that rich, creamy broth, I knew this place was something special. The noodles were perfectly cooked, the pork was tender and flavorful, and every bite felt like comfort in a bowl. Honestly, it's the best ramen I've ever had--and it's not even close. What really sets this place apart is the customer service. The staff is friendly, attentive, and truly make you feel welcome from the moment you walk in. The vibe is awesome--lively, clean, and the kind of place you want to sit, relax, and enjoy every minute of your meal. And whatever you do, don't pass up the Spicy Wings. They are sweet, spicy, and perfectly crispy--cooked just right with that satisfying crunch in every bite. Absolutely delicious and the perfect complement to an already amazing meal. Top-notch service, incredible food, and an unbeatable atmosphere--this place is a must-visit.

My first time wasn't too memorable and the second time I got the ultra spicy veggie ramen and it was so spicy I cried (which is good haha i have very high spice tolerance so I'm glad I found a spot that can do truly spicy). This time, I got the deluxe Chicken Paitan DX Ramen (the one that comes with the chicken leg). Chicken Paitan DX Ramen: A sweet soy glazed chicken leg is served on a hot sizzling plate with a small bed of bean sprouts marinating in the sauce. The sauce is a sticky, sweet soy sauce that is so delicious. The chicken leg itself is tender, juicy, and has a great skin texture. The skin soaks up the sauce so well and even has some nice charred bits that add to the flavor and complexity of the dish. The ramen itself was great too. A creamy rich chicken broth. I got the spicy level, so one level under the top spice level and it was perfect. Not unbearably spicy, but had a really nice underlying kick. The noodles are a thin yet snappy noodle so it made it easy to eat. I love the corn and mushroom spirals too! Overall, if you come based on this review, make sure to get the chicken paitan dx ramen. There are only 15 served in a day but ask them if they have it because I was able to get one on a Monday night at around 8PM! It's a nice space, good for a date or even a casual hangout. They have tables to accomodate parties of 1, 2, 4, and possibly 6.
