If you want a top-tier meal out of the kitchen, their Certified Angus Beef handhelds easily go toe-to-toe with dedicated burger joints. The Kansas City Burger Review The Kansas City Burger is a masterclass in regional barbecue fusion, this behemoth features a juicy steakburger topped with burnt ends, pulled pork, pork shoulder, and an onion ring, all smothered in a tangy BBQ sauce. * The Taste: The sweet and savory BBQ perfectly cuts through the savory beef, while the burnt ends and crispy onion ring provide a highly satisfying crunch. * The Vibe: Paired with the sports-bar atmosphere and an ice-cold beer on draft, it genuinely feels like an homage to the tailgate scene in KC. The Perfect Burger Review If you want something massive but slightly less "barbecue heavy," the Perfect Burger ) is true to its name. * The Taste: It strikes a delicate balance between a gourmet, thick steakburger and classic diner-style diner preparation. The sear on the patty is excellent, and it's loaded with all the standard fresh toppings before taking the flavor profile a step further. * The Sides: Be sure to upgrade to a premium side like their Garlic Truffle Fries or "Jimmy Fries" (topped with cheese, onions, and their signature tangy sauce).

Unfortunately, service has dropped drastically lately. Last week, we tried to eat here and stood in the entryway for about five minutes while employees looked at us but never acknowledged us. We decided to try again yesterday evening. When we arrived, the hostess told us she "needed to ask the kitchen" because they close at 9. It was only 8:20 p.m. At this point, it feels like this location effectively "closes" well before 9. The restaurant was dead empty, and based on the recent service, it is pretty obvious why. Disappointing to see a place we used to enjoy decline like this.

He guided us through the menu and gave great suggestions. We started with the Seasonal Brushetta which was yum! Although, the amount of bread included isn't proportional. I'd eat here again!

We got patata, rustica, margherita, and prosciutto. My choice was the prosciutto and it was a perfect blend of arugula and vinegrette and salty prosciutto. Mmmmmmm yeah. Every single one was delicious and made perfectly. That was too many pizzas for us but we wanted to try them all. (Kinda like Pokémon) Coupled with the local hazy IPA after a long day out. It was a home run for sure. The prices were reasonable and waitstaff was kind and courteous and helpful. The restaurant was clean and spacious and the bathroom was shared with an ice cream place (more on that later) but it was clean and easy to find. Don't hesitate to try this place. You won't be disappointed!

Pizza Quest -- Episode 3: Built with Love…read more The campaign continues. Next stop: Piezon's Pizzeria a neighborhood stronghold with a robust menu that offers plenty of choices without feeling overwhelming. For this session, I picked up: One slice of the Oh Mio Dio One slice of the Mahalo with jalapeños The standout of the encounter was the Oh Mio Dio. The combination of fiery chicken and cream cheese landed exactly where I like my pizza builds to be--bringing the perfect balance of heat and coolness in every bite. The Mahalo took a different path. Built with Canadian bacon, pineapple, and cream cheese, it already offers a unique take on a Hawaiian-style pizza. Adding jalapeños gave it just enough kick to complement the sweet and savory flavors without overwhelming them. I can see why it's my wife's favorite. The menu itself deserves credit. There's a lot to choose from, but it never feels complicated. Whether you're a seasoned adventurer or a first-time visitor, finding your next slice feels straightforward. What stuck with me most, though, was the atmosphere. The walls are filled with stories and adventures drawn by kids, while pizza trays signed by Husker fans cover the space with messages and memories. Everywhere you look, there's evidence that people care about this place and that this place cares about its community. Heart 18 (+4) From children's drawings to signed pizza trays, the entire restaurant feels built on memories, traditions, and community. Wisdom 16 (+3) A menu with plenty of variety that remains easy to navigate and approachable for any adventuring party. Dexterity 17 (+3) The Oh Mio Dio balances heat and coolness with precision, while the jalapeños on the Mahalo add just the right amount of extra movement to the build.
