This review alone is for Rachel! She goes above and beyond for the customers and is so happy and welcoming to each customer! This woman deserves a raise! I wish I could say the same for Marie or Maria who might've been the manager she asked for help, she had no customer skills no happy demeanor and wasn't helpful at all when the cashier asked for change while a customer was waiting. This store is always busy as it is, being attentive is important. Any Dollar Tree I go to always has the same feel to it. Lots of items to choose from and at a great price. I miss the items being only one dollar though for sure. Store itself is a bit big but aisles are pretty tight and the store tends to be dirty every time I go. The seasonal section always looks like a tornado went through the aisle and displaced all the items in their wrong location or on the floor. Customer service isn't great but I feel its like that in every store I have shopped in. The workers are fast though when ringing up your items and don't engage in small talk. I am okay with that since I just want to go get what I need and leave. I guarantee that if you shop here, you will find something you like or need. This is my favorite Dollar Tree location in Orange. I almost always find what I'm looking for...and then some! Shelves are somewhat organized and well stocked. I love their card selection and prices. There are gift cards sold here. Great selection of party supplies and gift bags. A lot of craft supplies as well. You can also get balloons here. Samples of the balloons are located on the wall behind the cash registers. They always have a great selection of seasonal items and they put them out way ahead of the holiday. read more

I come here because it's next to my gym. It's got little random things I need in a pinch. What I'm writing about though is a particular worker behind the counter. She's always there when I go. Her name is Rachel, and she's been here for as long as I've been coming here. She is so good natured and pleasant to everyone. I listen to her talking to customers and I'm so impressed. This location is no longer shinny and new and it shows. The last few times I have came here the customer service has gone down the drain. There is always a line that stretches down the far isle. The last few times they ran out of bags. Last 3 times no bags. Some of the carts have a stick on them and you cant remove them from the store. So the good. Yes, there is a good selection here. I've been to many dollar tree store and this one has TERRIBLE cashiers. I was there to do an exchange of an item that did not suit my needs. The cashier said she could not honor the exchange due to not being "complete" which she is implying it's missing something or has been used. Instead of asking me did I use or did something go with this item?? She came across excusatory and I responded firmly and said I did not appreciate the assumption! The cashier next to her chimed in and "said for me not be rude to her" in a VERY RUDE way !! She should mine her own business and focus on her customers. She continued to challenged me and would not stop. So unprofessional and rude. If you can't make the situation better then stay OUT of it. My cashier started to be rude as well and I felt bullied by those two cashiers. I had to stand my ground and not let them treat customers like that. These two ladies know who they are. Both Hispanic and one has missing teeth. I want to be CLEAR there is another non Hispanic cashier that also has missing teeth is WONDERFUL! She is so positive and has a great attitude. I'm sure if she was there she would have made the situation better. I believe she only works 3 days a week. I hate that this is my local dollar tree, they honestly could care less about working there. The line could be wrapped around the building and they'll refuse to have more than 1 register open. Then when you ask if they can open some more, or as the employee that they need help at the register they'll say, " no sorry" or "it's not my issue I'm on break" or they have 3 people just talking and hiding in the little office. This location is not as large as some of the other dollar trees, but Rachel is the Epiphany of customer service. I've seen her walk with elderly customers in each aisle to help them find specific items they are looking for. She's super helpful and engaging with customers and because of her personality and her work ethics I've continued to come to this location because of her. This store is always stocked and clean. The best time to come here is right when it opens. It's quiet, there are no lines and one of the workers is the sweetest lady ever. I stopped by at this Dollar Tree after the 99cents only store simply stopped stocking the sweet little garden accessories like little plant stick signs with butterflies and bumble bees on them saying, "Welcome." You know how it is at the 99cents store. They have what they have, and it seems like it'll be always and forever, and then suddenly they stop having it anymore. I would see similar stuff up at my Oxnard GF's store around the corner from her and would refrain from buying too much because I thought I'd be able to acquire here in The OC easily. But no longer. So, I wanted to see what Dollar Tree had to offer. Only a few of the food items are a good deal. However, they did have some nice glass beads for vase filler which I use to decorate the soil of my little potted plants. Also, pre-4th of July, they had some sweet Red White and Blue pin wheels. I got several and stuck them in my garden. However, no little garden signs. I'll check back again in the future. PITB Side: You cannot remove their carts from the store. Talk about Handicapped and Disabled Unwelcome and Unfriendly. I would have had to throw the bag over my shoulder and schlepp it across the parking lot. Bless his heart, a nice young man offered to help me when I because stunned at the front door. Yeah, will not be coming back here again. Decided to stop by looking for some office supplies and found the place a complete mess with a line 15 deep and one cashier. Very messy and disorganized store. Makes 99 Cent Stores look like Nodstrom by comparison. They're a low-end retail store but that doesn't mean they can't take some pride in their store. The manager this morning was restocking when the only cashier had at least 10 people waiting in line to check out. I asked her if she could unlock the bathroom and instead of getting the key she directed me to the only cashier. " I do t have the key, you need to go to the front to get it" I didn't want to bother the only cashier trying to do the best that she could. This was about 1030am, May 3 2022. The manger had the entire frozen section blocked off with 3 shopping carts full of frozen food. Customers where trying to shop and they had to go around her and her attitude. Another customer ask her for the bathroom key and again she made the same statement "I don't have the key, you need to go to the front" the customer insisted she needed the key and the manager went to get the key from the busy cashier. She walked to the bathroom to open the door with a huge attitude. Shorty after that a gentleman asked for the key from the cashier. The cashier had to stop checking out customers because she's not allowed to give the key to the customers. The poor cashier had to apologize for stopping the line while the "manager" continued to stocked the frozen section? Who hired this girl as a manager? Is having a attitude, no team work part of the requirements to be a manager at dollar tree? The manger should be the cashier who was working the line and the bathroom key. Finally at 11am another cashier clocked in and the line went faster. No thanks to anything this manager in a green t shirt did. The cashier with a beautiful spirit was the only reason the situation was manageable. I will be sending a email to complain to corporate and the cashier should be getting a huge raise! read more

Longer story: I came in here to pick up a few loose ends (wrapping paper, disposable gloves, etc.) on a rainy day just after Black Friday. Ms. Rachel was working the front registered along with another young lady and was incredibly helpful, pleasant, and friendly. She has a wonderful attitude and turned what would normally be a short, quick and uneventful trip into a genuine delight.
