My shopping pal and I made the 45 minute drive to check out Remart after I saw a story in tv about the store. Nice big parking lot, carts available in front. The store was clean and pretty organized which we appreciated but that's where the positivity stops. The prices were not much lower than could be found in Costco when merchandise was current. Lots of empty shelf space which I understand as they having purchasing cycles. We walked the entire store and left with nothing which is highly unusual for us. Also observed the owner arguing loudly with a customer, I'm not sure what the issue was but it didn't give a good appearance. Again, I understand that merchandise will be different all the time, but based on the distance and the pricing they offer, we won't be back. read more

I was looking for a refrigerator and was impressed with all that was there In the store. It was like a mini Sam's or Costco. Large warehouse store with lots of warehouse items discounted with overstock, returns, clothing, varying quality. Pros: lots of workers hired to stock, manage cashier check out with very knowledgeable people who know the ppl pies and are authorize to solve problems, most number of floor staff to help carry and move appliances and even bring to the van. The level of customer service and money spent to train such a knowledgeable, friendly, customer oriented sales force is very very difficult to do in a retail space yet Remart management and staff delivery exceptional shopping experience. My government group has studied which places are known for excellent raving service and the popular ones are In Out, Lexus, Ritz Carlton, Costco. Many are high end business but like Chick Filet's high standard of business, ReMart is so up to the highest standards our society has to offer. I was taken to this store and have been returning when visiting from out of town. They have some great deals!

Over the years I've purchased superficial, damaged, trash cans, rugs, and random snacks. But I wouldn't recommend clothes or electronics unless you plan to keep the tags and electronics, knowing you don't have the same recourse as big box stores when something breaks. I found the Return policies vague, and wasn't communicated until I tried to return something like a pair of pants prior to purchase. I asked them what their return policy was and they said 30 days with the receipt. Management is terrible. They don't train their employees and only point to their policy after the fact. read more

They hire "sub contractor" to sell on fb offering you a price. When you show up. He's going to give you a price to show up and then the store says "they can't honor his price" because he's a sub contractor. They have items in their store listed higher than actual retail price and the discount price is higher than what you can pay on Amazon. Perfect example, we were talking about a GE profile indoor smoker. Advertised at 350, store has it "retail" at 1299 (actual retail is 559 on Amazon right now), their discounted price is 569. Bunch of returned Costco items. Id figured the items would be heavily discounted compared to if you bought new, but not really. For example, they have a hand truck dolly for $90. The same one at Costco is sold for $100. Why not just buy a new one and have Costco warranty on the item. I did find a random item for $20 and figured I would do my part in supporting a local business. I go to check out and I say hello to the dude wearing a face mask with a pony tail at the register. He completely ignores me so I repeat myself thinking he didn't hear me. Then, unwilling he acknowledges me. I proceed to finish paying for the item and I say, "thank you" and again ignores me and doesn't even look in my direction. Mike the manager is very deceptive in pricing and after showing the very clear sign advertising 25% off in front of the product, he still refuses to honor the sign and very rudely says you have to learn to read the sign. He said the products where the sign was located is a different version and had a + sign and the one with the discount is located in a different aisle. I told him he should remove the sign and relocate it to where the actual product is but he very rudely said I am not moving any signs. Seems like a classic bait and switch to me. Beware if you find an item without a price tag! If you do, you may wait days until you can purchase that item!! Every item in this store has a separate sku number! So they could have five pair of pants, the same identical color, brand and same identical size, but should one of those pairs of pants not have a tag you're screwed! You will have to wait days until their pricing department decides to price it and then contact you - should you want the item that bad. I guess they're not interested in sales. we have been shopping at Remart the last couple of years with various items mostly clothes and snacks. last year we bought a sectional couch and saved some money. I found customer service mostly friendly and with that experiences when we need new refrigerators we think of Remart first, we went there and found some brand new ones with body dents damaged, with the discount we took our chances and purchased 2 refrigerators. we used the store recommended delivery service, they got delivered 5 days later. the fridges came with more severe damages on the side, which I didn't inspect at time of purchase nor present at time delivery service pickup, I was naive not to pull the fridges out of the lineup for a full inspection before payment. Even with the disappointment I accepted the delivery and willing to keep my purchase as long as everything works. Unfortunately after two days of plugged them in, one of the fridge leaking air, the freezer was iced up, so I called the store and was told the promised two years warranty is in store repair, what that meant is whenever you have issues with the purchased item, you have to take it back to the store for repair and pick-it up after it is repaired. I have no means or help to bring back and forward the huge item and with hiring delivery service, which costs me minimum $100 per trip (a 10 miles distance). For this reason I decided that I would return the item altogether instead the back and forth delivery fees. I was told by a store manager it will take 24 hour for the refund, Remart needs to inspection the return item. I asked if the refund automatic credit back to my credit card or i have to be present, to my frustration he told me I have to come back to the store for the refund. On Tuesday 24 hours past, no phone call, on Wednesday 48 hours past, no phone call either. Late morning Thursdays , while I was in my doctor's office I got a call from Mike, Remart store manager. From the start, he sounds hostile, asking what do I want, repair or return, I told him "return and refund" Mike started telling me, I kept the fridge for a whole month and accusing me for the fridge body damages. And that will be deductions from my refund. I told him, Remart policy is 90 days return, the damages exist at time of delivery, I did called and reported the issue after 2 days of having it, a store manager told me I have 90 days to return. So the fridge in my possession from March 27-April 21 is within the 90 days policy. Mike asked me which manager did I talked to, I provided him a name. He then told me he will get back to me once he talked with that manager. Since my doctor's office is near by so I called Mike back after my visit with my doctor to see if I can get the refund without wasting a trip back to the store for my refund. He told me, he already talked with the other manager and now he need to discuss with the refund decision makers, he'll call me tomorrow. I waited for Mike's call all day on Friday; of course, no call from Mike. I didn't want to wait another day. I called around two hours before closing time but Mike wasn't available, so the call receiver pass my call to another manage. He was surprised Mike haven't called me yet, because they decided to give me a full refund. I think it was because I returned only one of the two purchased fridge otherwise I will get bogus deductions. Buyers beware, check throughly of all items you purchase at the store and don't assume anything, don't take any chances on Remart return policy. A question for Remart owner; are you aware of the kind of treatments your customers encounter? you will eventually losing a lot of your customers with Mike's kind of customer service. Hostel, accusing, not listening and yell at customers is not a good practice to treat people, especially a business establishment. read more

The items they carry at this store is either Costco items that has been returned or over stock items Costco had too much of. Just tried to return a sleeping pad that I purchased yesterday. I inflated it last night on my bedroom carpet and it was great, but after an hour the air was out. Tried it again this morning and the same. Your store is on my way home from work so I stop by often. The policy has always been to have the receipt so I made sure I had it for the return. To my surprise the assistant manager would not accept it becasue the price tag was not attached to product. The price tag was stuck to a secondary celephane cover that Remart used for repackaging, that had to be torn off to get to the nylon bag that came with the pad. I actually put the nylon bag with the pad back in what was left of the celphane packaging, but becasue I didnt have the piece of celephane that the tag that was stuck to they would not return it. $30 is not the end of the world, but it is the last $ I will ever spend at Remart, and it pissed me off enough to write this review. I bought it yesterday? $10 more and I buy it new on Amazon. Try to support small business and they treat me like I am trying to pull something on them. Managers need to be able to use common sense, not point to a 8-1/2 x 11 paper on the wall...."store policy". I get that retail is a tough business, but not that tough. In a Costco liquidation store I would expect to see Costco price as the "price" with a discount then added. This is not the case they pick whatever price is online or that they like and then discount based on that. Items end up being same price as Costco has on sale. Great place to find hidden treasures.... I like to go in just to browse and see what they have. Most of the inventory is Costco returns for various reasons that are extremely discounted. Some merchandise even in original boxes. Remart's return policy is easy (keep your receipt) and you have 90 days. There's clothing galore... throw rugs... bedding... dry food packaging... small electronics, etc. The customer service is wonderful... and very helpful. Shout out to Laura! Whenever I visit Remart and see her, she brightens my day. Unfortunately, I have lost so much money by shopping at Remart while preparing my future Airbnb. Here is a list of the sheets that I bought that had issues: Cal King - Full set with spots of what most probably was blood Split King - 1 of the 4 pillowcases were missing Queen - Inside the Kirkland packaging was a Member's Mark twin fitted and a queen flat (They don't even carry Sam's Clubs' products so this was a big miss by the staff.) Cal King - 4 pillowcases were missing Cal King - 1 flat sheet was missing Multiple "queen blankets" with what were actually king blankets in the package Bought two heated mattress pads. One worked, the other one did not. Here is a list of other items that I bought that had issues: Bought a kitchen faucet for about $100 and the plumber said there was something wrong with it because the water would not flow through it. A $50 digital thermometer had the sensing remote missing. It had to be obvious to the staff because the was a plastic packing piece with an indentation where this piece was supposed to go. The staff sealed the box with packing tape with the piece missing. Floor lamp in box - Main pole was stripped and could not be assembled. Chocolates - Bought several times and the pieces had melted Crackers and cereals - bought several times and the box was missing a bag Box of crackers with two bags that had expired, but the date on the box was way in the future. There are many items that are sold and missing pieces are noted. This was not noted in any of my purchases. It is my fault for waiting so long to open and check the products. Also, it was my fault for my naivete (trust) in believing that the products were checked thoroughly. When I said that to the manager, it told me not to assume that. Before writing a bad review, I did give management the chance to remedy the situation. I pulled aside Mike, the manager, and privately told him the issues that I had and admitted it was my fault for waiting so long to return them. Some had been bought up to several years ago as I packed them away, waiting for my Airbnb to be remodeled. Mike told me I could bring the items in, and he would see what he could do. Although he did give me a credit for a few of the blankets that were mismarked, he basically accused me of lying because he said there were two people in the back checking the bedding, so how could they have missed so many items....Or he said that people open the packages all the time and maybe other customers took out pillowcases. Although I did purchase some good deals, the majority of the items were incomplete or had other issues. The moral of my story is, if you shop here, have the items opened up at the check stand and check for missing items before walking out the door. I learned my lesson the hard way and wanted to share so no one else has to lose money by buying their products. read more

The customer service there is always good, the cashiers are great. I once had a problem with a return and Ken, one of the owners called me and took care of everything & said to call him if I ever had a problem again. Sooo much appreciated him! I bought a lamp on Saturday thinking I was going to keep it. The lady just told me to bring my receipt back and I don't recall her saying and your tag! How was I supposed to know that ReMart had it's own tags. Emphasis on the "own tag" part because than just make a NEW TAG. I didn't even know if it had a remart tag. I threw all my tags thinking I was going to keep the item and plus the tags look like a third party tag so didn't give it much thought. Again it's my first time here. The store manager Mike was very defensive with me and telling me how he is doing me a "favor"and goes own to say I'm the problem. Geezus so now I'm really upset. GREEDY is what I call this store. Concept is good, s Leviton is better than some stores of this type, but in most good prices are basically the same as Costco or Home Depot, or even more than when some of these products were on close out! Unreasonably high prices for items which are often returns and were opened and used. It's ok if you don't want to pay for Costco membership, but with a 2% credit for using the credit card you more than pay for the membership each year, for most people. read more

They have lots of good finds but one of the managers, Mike, has terrible customer service skills. I've been shopping at ReMart for several years but I won't be shopping there any longer. I found an artificial plant that I loved. As I was loading it into my car, I noticed that it was missing a few pieces, as was shown in the product's tag/diagram (see photos). I notified one of the employees and they went to get Mike. When Mike came over, he didn't even have the decency to greet a paying customer, instead he very rudely tells me that he inspected the product in the past and that the branches are suppose to look broken so he can give me a refund but he won't give me a discount. I kindly informed him that I'm not referring to the branches looking broken, but inform him that the product is actually missing pieces. He again speaks to me in an rude manner and asks me how I know that it's missing pieces. I tell him that the product description doesn't match the actual product, I don't want a refund, I am just requesting that he checks to see if he has the missing pieces. He shrugs, tells me that I can get a refund, but no discount, and then walks away. One of the other employees saw the interaction and apologized for Mike's behavior, which I thought was nice. The other employee asked for my contact info so that they would look for the missing pieces and would ask Mike to contact me. Thank goodness I didn't hold my breath because it's been 2 weeks and no one has called. These interactions annoy me so much that I might just return my entire $500 purchase because they obviously don't value their customers. Discount store full of random stuff. Basically my review could have one star at times and at other times it could have 5 stars, but that is only based on product in stock. Some visits I'm giddy with excitement while other times I leave there with a defeated scowl. However, I'm landing on 4 stars because I don't rate my review on just inventory items alone. ReMart is a large chain that sells overstock and returned items from Costco. Most items seem to be around 40-50% off what you'd pay in for in retail. There's everything from electronics, clothing, bedding, furniture, home decor, food, and cookware. The sales floor is constantly changing. One thing I do like about this discount store is that most price tags tell you why it is there; customer return, missing items, chipped, etc. So you kind of know what you're getting into. Prices are great and even their low prices are sometimes marked down even further. For instance, during a recent visit all the Halloween and Christmas items were an additional 50% off! I picked up a sweet string of blinky solar bulbs for only $5, normally over $40!! We went back to buy the rest of them but they were sold out. If you see something that you might like, buy it then! There is a return policy on items and you may only receive a store credit, but you can at least return things. Sales people are super helpful and really friendly. Parking is easy to get in and out of and there is also a public restroom inside (upstairs in the back). So what if it is basically an eye sore of a store with cracking floors and warehouse style displays, the discounts are great! I couldn't be happier when I bought the ONE AND ONLY Wii game in stock, normally $49 for $9... Just Dance 2 is now mine! Woo hoo! See? That shopping day was a definite 5 star! Give it a whirl, see if they've got something up your alley. Try them again in a few months or a year and see what else you can find. It's a treasure hunt. CHEERS!! read more
