2+ months old balloons, STILL floating!!!
Barbara S.

I bought helium balloons over 2 months ago and they're STILL floating... granted they're not all full/taut as when I bought them but still, very impressive!

It has been a while since I reviewed this location. So, yesterday I needed to pick up some items and yet again the shelves were still in need of a good cleaning. They just have too much, and could decrease the orders to get a handle on the shelves. One of the workers caught two young girls stealing, and I was told it happens often...every day. As a suggestion, corporate should install alarms to decrease the time commitment that the staff has to dedicate to watching the cameras, so they can be more productive and organize the floor. It would also be nice to have more than one register open, because it backs up so quickly with just one register open for check out. As for the items, they are okay but I do feel like when they first opened the items were better. Side note: the man that caught the two girls stealing could work on his people skills. He glared at me in a pretty aggressive way when I was checking out in a separate line. Maybe he is super stressed, but geesh he should appreciate the patrons paying for their goods and be kinder.

Seriously?

This store is literally the worst Dollar Store I've been to. My main issue with it is an employee who regularly uses foul language and also plays explicit rap music that's incredibly offensive to customers. When I asked if they could turn it off I was told by the cashier he didn't know how. When I asked for the manager I was told he was out of town. Then today in the art department every paint set was completely dried out and unusable. There store has ZERO pride in what they sell. They either don't pay attention or don't care. Either way- not a good look. I hope someone combs the shelves and removes all the unusable merchandise.

Satisfied customer thanks to Imelda & Jeremy on April 22nd 2024.

Perla and the girl she was training today made it an excellent experience today. I highly suggest you try this location. You will love it.

Nice employees

And its really hard to tell what the price is on most items. They do have some cute stuff, but I think they could price them better. Yesterday Christmas was 1/2 off. Well, some of it. Some was still full price. At this point I feel like it should be off the shelves or at least 75% off. Books, Pajamas, Incense, fun stuff that remind me of the 90s but not all that great of a deal overall.

I came on a weekday evening and it wasn't too busy - I was able to find what I needed and even more. They had a ton of workout books, including a Pilates book and a strength training book with full color photos for only $5! Their workout section basically has everything: yoga mats, dumbbells from 1 lb all the way past 10 lbs, Pilates bars, sliding discs, kettlebells -- pretty much everything you'd need for a home gym setup. I needed some lighter weights and they had exactly what I was looking for, and in a cute pink color. The only downside is there's pretty much no interaction with employees. When you check out, there's no cashier - it's fully self-checkout, which is still a little new to me since I'm used to someone ringing me up. Overall though, I found what I needed and had a good experience.

The El Toro location is always clean, bright and well stocked. I like coming to this Daiso because parking is easy and the store is really big and the staff is always friendly and helpful. Some items are priced higher depending on quality or function, but they have price sheets next to those items to indicate that it could cost more. For this visit, I did have a list of items I was interested in and was able to find such as, squeeze bottle for condiments, small mesh strainer, tempura paper liner and tongs. What I bought on impulse was the robe indoor house slippers, bear squeaky dog toy, card holder and a koi fish reusable bag. Their dog toys are perfect for my Pancake. She's obsessed with the bear since it squeaks and has soft limbs for her to chew on. They surprisingly hold up well with light play/chew, but most of the dog toys in our home are from Daiso. The only thing I couldn't find was the oil absorbing pads for used cooking oils. After frying, I used to throw a couple of those pads into a pan and it would soak up any remaining oil to toss in the trash. Was really useful to keep on hand, but I haven't found it in awhile. Besides that, I'm always happy to visit a Daiso and will be back soon.
