First time around I had a nice, young gentleman stocking and freshening up the produce area who greeted me with a nice smile and kind words. I ran in quickly to see if there were any type of produce that I could add to our dinner meal. I was grateful to find some bok choy and spinach, both in packaging and very fresh. Only one person ahead of me at the register, so it moved pretty quick, all in all. Second time around I purchased a few items from the produce again (cherries and corn on the cob) as well as an indoor plant. I never noticed their plants the first time around, but they had a nice selection of plants both for indoor and out. You can see a little of their collection in my photos. This time around there were two workers in the front who appeared to be chatty and looking shoppers up and down as if judging them. I felt eyes on myself as well as I perused through their plants. Anyway, the checkout process took much longer as they had only one line open with 3 shoppers ahead of me and a few behind me as well. Well, the produce this time around was not as impressive. The cherries were an excellent price at $1.99 vs the $7.99 that I had just paid at another grocery store, but every cherry had a little shriveled dried piece connected to them that you'd have to peel off while cleaning them before serving them. The corn we had that evening was also very thick and meaty, but not a good meaty, if that makes any sense. I think I'll only come back if in the shopping center to browse their plants, otherwise skip on over across the street at Stater Bros instead.

This Five Below is located in the same plaza as Home Depot, specifically right next door to…read moreCarter's. My husband and I ended up coming to this Five Below because we needed a second charger cable since I only had one in my car and his phone battery was at 20%. We walked in around 6:15 pm and were greeted by the 2 employees at the register. We walked towards the back of the store and found all of the many charger cables. He ended up purchasing 2 cables since he had complained that the cable I have in the car was too slow. My husband also ended up pick up a wireless battery bank (but the charge was slow so my husband ended up returning it to a Five Below location near our home in San Gabriel Valley and had no trouble returning it with a receipt). I also ended up picking up a few things too. Right when I first walked in, I saw these cute dog pens and this dog shaped tape dispenser. Being that both were pretty cheap I decided to get both (now did I need any of these items? No but I got them anyway, lol. Five Below reminds me of the Dollar Spot at Target and Daiso where there are just so many things that I didn't realize that I wanted until I saw them...). Later on when we picked the items we wanted to pay, we went back to the front of the store to pay for those items. To pay, it was all self check out registers. We were able to ring ourselves up but we did see a family that had some trouble and needed assistance from a employee. Although we did not have trouble going through the self check out, we did see a male employee at a register who was on his phone. My husband asked him if he was open and he said 'you have to use the self check out' and then went back to his phone ... I think that is pretty poor customer service, as you show to the customer that you do not want to lift a finger to help, especially when there was no line and the store was clearly not busy... (sorry but young people today....). But overall, we were able to find the items we needed (and more) and had a positive visit. If I lived in this area, I would most likely be a regular.

The El Toro location is always clean, bright and well stocked. I like coming to this Daiso because parking is easy and the store is really big and the staff is always friendly and helpful. There are a lot of other stores and food options in this plaza so it makes shopping here a one stop shop.

Savers typically isn't the cheapest thrift store option but they make up with big clean stores, readily accessible bathrooms and an easy self check out. I love Savers for the book section, it is massive. They even have it broken down in sections just to give you an idea. I collect books so yeah I fell like I'm at Borders back in the day. Prices are pretty great, so start that library today haha This location is new, and it's very welcome to join the neighborhood of Salvation Army and Goodwill only about 5 minutes away. Items with price tags are priced above that price. Items from dollar tree and target dollar spot. The pricing is also so inconsistent. I asked once who prices the items and was told exactly what I thought... it's done randomly. Except clothing. I was told clothing goes to the HB store to be priced. I would prefer to support thrift stores who offer fair pricing and will most likely limit my time here. The staff is not very friendly or helpful and spend the majority of their time chatting with each other near the self checkout stands. One positive is you receive a 20% coupon if you donate. KATHLEEN THE MANAGER IS A RACIST!…read more Today (7/6), I had one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had at this Dollar Tree. I came in looking for a lunch pail my 3-year-old autistic son had been asking for. The store itself was a mess--empty shelves, boxes everywhere, and it looked completely ransacked. While looking around, I found the lunch pails sitting on the sales floor inside unopened boxes that were already placed on the shelves. I politely asked the cashier if someone could help me, but he didn't understand what I was asking. A woman who I later learned was the manager, Kathleen, walked by, so I asked if she could please help me open the box so I could purchase one. Without even acknowledging me at first, she finally responded with a rude "Okay?" When I explained what I needed, she simply said, "No." I asked why she couldn't help me, and she replied, "It's not ready to be out." I explained that it was already on the sales floor, just still inside the box. She repeatedly refused to help, speaking to me in an unnecessarily rude and dismissive tone the entire time. After I left, I told my husband what had happened. He went inside to ask if she would reconsider, and she again refused. I then went back in to ask for the District Manager's contact information, and she refused to provide it. I recorded this interaction. What bothered me most was when I asked why she wasn't willing to help us. She responded that "there are plenty of other Dollar Trees you can go to," and repeated that more than once. Given her tone and the way she spoke to us throughout the interaction, I left feeling singled out and unwelcome. Whether intentional or not, her comments came across as discriminatory, and that is not how any customer should be treated. This was never about a lunch pail. It was about basic customer service and treating people with respect. I've never encountered a Dollar Tree manager who was this rude, dismissive, and unwilling to help over such a simple request.

A man waited on me (Brandon I believe his name was) had almost no customer service skills. He rang me up and took my money but had nothing to say to me. No "How are you" or "Did you find what you were looking for" not even eye contact. They were not even busy. I get friendlier employees at Dollar Tree. Now perhaps he was having a bad day but if a customer is buying stuff from the store a smile goes a long way. Other employees are wonderful. Retail is ALL about customer service no matter what you're selling. This is how you get returning customers. The customer is king! Acknowledgement means a lot especially in a small store like this. I hope the owner is realizes that customer service and making people feel welcome is essential to success. Something to consider.
