Staff: Here is where the experience greatly suffered. We came in for some inexpensive candy for a party. Upon grabbing all of the items we planned to buy, we walked up to the register. The lady walked over and looked at us with a blank face. She rang us up and looked at us again with a blank face. It was an odd feeling as she said nothing at all. After paying I stood there and thanked her, to which she said thank you. Completely ignoring a customer is really bad customer service. This is a shame as I overheard a different employee engaging with customer on the floor and he seemed much more interested in providing good customer service. Quality/Quantity: The amount of variety of options is quite impressive. Value: Pricing though not a dollar was really good. There are definitely deals here. Overall: This is not an establishment that I frequent and it has been probably 5 or more years since I've been here. Would I return? Perhaps, if I needed something similar to this time. Decent dollar tree or dollar twenty five cent tree (but I get it). They have an okay selection of toys which is the main reason why I go as it's like discount Disneyland for my daughter. The service is pretty good as they always let you know when an item is over their standard price as they seem to have a lot of inventory that is $3 to $5 which is something I appreciate greatly. I also appreciate that if an item isn't on the shelf they take the time to look in the back to see if it might be there. One significant critique is the fact that they seldom have more than one register open which is a source of frustration for me. I am almost always accompanied by my daughter and having to wait a long time on a weekend to check out is not optimal. Weekend shifts should always have at least two people behind the register at any one time in my opinion because even outside of rush hour it's still a popular store and staffing should be at the level necessary to accommodate it. read more

I stopped by this Dollar Tree today and had a pretty disappointing experience. I'm a teacher and was excited to find individually wrapped gummy packs that I've purchased here before for my students. When I got to the register, the cashier--who was incredibly friendly and helpful--let me know they were ringing up for $0.01. I asked if I could grab the last two bags on the shelf, and she even went to check with the manager to help me out. Unfortunately, the manager told her the gummies were a "no sale" item and refused to sell them to me at any price--even full price. I wasn't asking for a special deal, just to purchase the product that was still sitting on the shelf. It was confusing and honestly a bit discouraging. A few minutes after leaving, I realized I had left my umbrella hanging on one of the carts. I called the store twice within 10 minutes--no answer either time. I'm not sure if only one employee was working, but between the refusal to sell an item in the store and the lack of response when I called, it turned into a pretty disappointing visit overall. I really appreciated the cashier's kindness, but I hope management can clarify their policies and improve communication. This could have been such a simple, positive experience. I eventually did call back and they did answer. Unfortunately but the time they picked up someone had taken the umbrella with them. I will not shop at this dollar tree again. Let me start by saying I am a dollar tree fanatic. The attitudes of the employees here are down right unacceptable. I have had multiple issues on multiple occasions. Ann Marie was extremely rude to me a couple months ago when I had a large purchase. Whole she was checking out the person in front of me she started in on me for no reason. Why did I put a separator bar between my order and the one behind me when I had one closer to me. I didn't see it, and honestly, who cares. I let her know I didn't see it and I was only trying to help. Then she barked at me she didn't have paper to wrap my breakables. I didn't ask her to. She then started in on me if I was going to need bags. Why didn't she focus on the customer she was helping. She kept at me. And was extremely rude the entire time she checked me out. Tonight I went in specifically looking for a table top plastic Christmas tree that came in a box. I wish I got employee names. The small blonde girl said if I didn't see them out anymore they didn't have them. I said I haven't seen them here. Another dollar tree has them and I'm trying to see if this location does. She gave me such an attitude and said she guessed she'd ask someone. She knocked on the office door and the woman inside screamed WHAT DO YOU WANT. She stated someone had a question, then she walked away. What I assume was the manager, an older woman walked out and asked me what I wanted. I explained the same to her and she said she didn't know and just stared at me. Absolutely horrible customer service. This store never used to be like this. There is a dollar tree not far down Alicia I will give my business too. They are never rude or disrespectful there and treat their customers as they should. I wanted to take a moment to send this review to acknowledge the excellent customer service provided by two young gentlemen, Brandon and Preston. I ordered 90 items online and had not received an update on my order status after two weeks and was unsuccessful when reaching out to the help center (although they were very courteous). I went to the store where my items were expected to be delivered and was helped by Brandon who suggested the items may arrive in the evening when a shipment was due. Preston who overheard the conversation remembered a shipment in the back room and ran to go look. He returned shortly with my order in hand. These two amazing gentlemen offered to carry my items to my car and did so without hesitation. I shop at various Dollar Trees but I will make it a point to return to this site due to the professionalism of these two gentlemen! read more

I came into this dollar store getting some last minute items. The two workers that were here were arguing and fighting with each other in front of customers. Already a red flag right there. When it was my turn to be checked out I asked the cashier for some balloons, before I can mention which she said "They're all blown up already, go pick which ones you want" they were all birthday balloons in which I didn't need. When I asked her if they had others that are just plain, she seemed almost insulted that I had asked her for other balloons. I walked in, saw Marilyn (later found out she was the store manager) asked her if she had 200 vases in boxes. Instead of looking at me like I was crazy or just saying NO go online. She said, hold on, let me check, if we don't have them in boxes, I have some boxes here that I'm emptying, we can pull some off the shelves and pack them up for you. It was a simple process. She rang everything up and even brought the boxes out to my car. She then said, if you ever need anything in Bulk, just order it and send it to our location, we will make sure you get it on time. Who doesn't love a discount? I've been to this location several times and every time I'm able to find the things I'm looking for. It's located in a shopping center and there's always plenty of parking available. Now with every dollar store there's always going to be a mess and this store is no exception. It's a small location in comparison to other dollar trees. You can always find cute holiday items and decor here for your house for only a dollar. I always shop for gift bags, tissue paper, and bows at the dollar tree because they carry a variety of different sizes for almost every occasion. They also have a variety of tissue paper. Now of course the gift bag section is always a mess. I've purchased cleaning supplies, toothbrush, toothpaste, frozen foods, chips, and they have nice cups for your house for only a dollar. I go there Thursday April 1st to pick up items to fill up Easter basket and random things for the house. I'm chatting with the cashier and kids running around I apparently only came out of the store with one bag of items. The clerk never ran behind me nor any other customers said anything. I notice the next day and I grab my receipt to see I'm $16 short of items. I call and the manger was extremely rude saying no items were left in the cubby of left items. I told her we could research it or ask the cashier to see what happened and she said no that basically it's on me. What horrible customer service and I have never had a manger of any store make me feel like I was wrong and a thief. I'm poor. Story of my life! The Dollar Tree comes to my rescue more often than not. I was having a surprise birthday party for one of my good friends tonight. I wanted to pick up some balloons and some silly stuff to give her but didn't want to break the bank at a normal party store. My mom mentioned that the Dollar Tree probably has balloons and silly goodies, so off I went! They do have balloons. Happy Birthday ones. For one buck each. And that includes it being blown up and a cute little weight for the bottom. I also got a pretty heart shaped one too. $3 for three balloons = awesome! I also picked up a Happy Birthday Tiara, some silly pins and some HUGE pink and silly looking glasses. So fun!! For $6 and some change, I walked out happy!! Dollar Tree fills a niche for the value focused shopper. They carry a reasonable selection of items people use on a regular basis, and part of the inventory they carry are name brands most would recognize. Also most of the stores carry a very similar inventory as well, so people can expect to find items they regularly purchase at most any Dollar tree they shop at. The staff here is helpful, and though the service is not quite to the level as other retail stores, the do a good job in helping their customers and answering their questions. Though no busier than some of the other locations I have been to, this Dollar Tree tends to be a bit of a mess at times. I had an awesome experience with the Assistant Manager at Dollar Tree in Mission Viejo! As I'm gearing up for my sons 5th birthday I forgot that I needed to grab one last 'goodie bag' item and saw that dollar tree made it. I was afraid to order online thinking it wouldn't get to me on time so I called the store. From the moment the associate answered I was impressed. She was obviously juggling many people but was kind and helpful. She suggested Christian the ASM help and he ran around the store trying to find 48 water bottles for me. When I came to pick them up the store was busy but clean, the staff was friendly, and Christian had held my items in the front. Not something your expect from a discount store.
