Staff: Here is where the experience greatly suffered. We came in for some inexpensive candy for a party. Upon grabbing all of the items we planned to buy, we walked up to the register. The lady walked over and looked at us with a blank face. She rang us up and looked at us again with a blank face. It was an odd feeling as she said nothing at all. After paying I stood there and thanked her, to which she said thank you. Completely ignoring a customer is really bad customer service. This is a shame as I overheard a different employee engaging with customer on the floor and he seemed much more interested in providing good customer service. Quality/Quantity: The amount of variety of options is quite impressive. Value: Pricing though not a dollar was really good. There are definitely deals here. Overall: This is not an establishment that I frequent and it has been probably 5 or more years since I've been here. Would I return? Perhaps, if I needed something similar to this time. Pro tip: They do balloons here which is good to know with the closing of Party City.

Decent dollar tree or dollar twenty five cent tree (but I get it). They have an okay selection of toys which is the main reason why I go as it's like discount Disneyland for my daughter. The service is pretty good as they always let you know when an item is over their standard price as they seem to have a lot of inventory that is $3 to $5 which is something I appreciate greatly. I also appreciate that if an item isn't on the shelf they take the time to look in the back to see if it might be there. One significant critique is the fact that they seldom have more than one register open which is a source of frustration for me. I am almost always accompanied by my daughter and having to wait a long time on a weekend to check out is not optimal. Weekend shifts should always have at least two people behind the register at any one time in my opinion because even outside of rush hour it's still a popular store and staffing should be at the level necessary to accommodate it.

Selection is nice coming at this one near the gym plaza. Wish the lines move quicker and be bit more cleaner. Able to get what I wanted personally. Got some nice deals at goods marked down. Pretty nice set up for a bargain store.

I will not shop at this dollar tree again. Let me start by saying I am a dollar tree fanatic. The attitudes of the employees here are down right unacceptable. I have had multiple issues on multiple occasions. Ann Marie was extremely rude to me a couple months ago when I had a large purchase. Whole she was checking out the person in front of me she started in on me for no reason. Why did I put a separator bar between my order and the one behind me when I had one closer to me. I didn't see it, and honestly, who cares. I let her know I didn't see it and I was only trying to help. Then she barked at me she didn't have paper to wrap my breakables. I didn't ask her to. She then started in on me if I was going to need bags. Why didn't she focus on the customer she was helping. She kept at me. And was extremely rude the entire time she checked me out. Tonight I went in specifically looking for a table top plastic Christmas tree that came in a box. I wish I got employee names. The small blonde girl said if I didn't see them out anymore they didn't have them. I said I haven't seen them here. Another dollar tree has them and I'm trying to see if this location does. She gave me such an attitude and said she guessed she'd ask someone. She knocked on the office door and the woman inside screamed WHAT DO YOU WANT. She stated someone had a question, then she walked away. What I assume was the manager, an older woman walked out and asked me what I wanted. I explained the same to her and she said she didn't know and just stared at me. Absolutely horrible customer service. This store never used to be like this. There is a dollar tree not far down Alicia I will give my business too. They are never rude or disrespectful there and treat their customers as they should. If you don't want customers - having these nasty employees is a great way to ensure that going forward. I will be sending a letter to corporate as well. I don't appreciate it.

Christmas sweater made all with dollar tree products.

Love the lake Forrest and mission location. They see my face very frequently lol. For random occasions to pet toys for work to even veggies and such for groceries. Wide selection always find what I need.

During this visit, however, I felt extremely uncomfortable because one of the employees appeared to be following me throughout the store. Every aisle I entered, he would come into the same aisle and continue watching me. After noticing this happen repeatedly, I even approached him and said, "I feel like you're watching me and following me into every aisle, and I don't understand why." Unfortunately, his behavior continued. As a regular customer who pays for my purchases every time, I found this treatment embarrassing and upsetting. It made me feel as though I was being suspected of stealing or doing something wrong without any reason. I've never experienced this kind of treatment at this location before, and it left me feeling harassed rather than welcomed as a customer. Honestly, instead of making loyal customers feel like they're under suspicion, employees should focus on providing respectful customer service. I hope this matter is addressed so that no one else has to experience the same discomfort.

My cousin purchased a phone case, and as we were walking out after paying, we noticed some squishies near the exit. We briefly squeezed them and continued walking out. The manager immediately looked at our hands as if she suspected we were stealing, despite the fact that she was standing right in front of us and had watched us pay for our purchase. It was extremely uncomfortable and made us feel like we were being treated as criminals for absolutely no reason. Then, once we got into the car, my cousin realized that she had accidentally purchased the wrong size phone case. Since it was only around 9:20 PM, she wanted to quickly go back inside to exchange it. Instead of simply helping her with the exchange, the manager immediately started yelling at my aunt and cousin, insisting that they were closed, even though the posted closing time was 9:30 PM. This caused my aunt to become upset and yell back. What made the situation even worse was the manager's attitude throughout the entire interaction. She had the nerve to yell at my aunt and then, when my aunt told her that she was going to leave a bad review because of her behavior, the manager essentially laughed about it with her employee. She was clearly not embarrassed or concerned about how she had treated us. If anything, she seemed to be mocking the fact that a customer was upset enough to complain. The employee working there clearly seemed uncomfortable and embarrassed by the situation and appeared to feel bad about the way his manager was treating us. He was put in an extremely awkward position because of her behavior. I completely understand that employees want to leave on time and that closing procedures take time. However, there is absolutely no reason to yell at customers, treat them like they are stealing, or mock them for expressing that they are unhappy with the service they received. The entire interaction was extremely unprofessional and unnecessary. I have never experienced customer service this rude at this location, and based on the manager's reaction to being told that a bad review would be left, it seems like she genuinely does not care how she treats customers. I hope management above her takes this complaint seriously and addresses her behavior because clearly she's a huge PROBLEM!

My husband and I ended up coming to this Five Below because we needed a second charger cable since I only had one in my car and his phone battery was at 20%. We walked in around 6:15 pm and were greeted by the 2 employees at the register. We walked towards the back of the store and found all of the many charger cables. He ended up purchasing 2 cables since he had complained that the cable I have in the car was too slow. My husband also ended up pick up a wireless battery bank (but the charge was slow so my husband ended up returning it to a Five Below location near our home in San Gabriel Valley and had no trouble returning it with a receipt). I also ended up picking up a few things too. Right when I first walked in, I saw these cute dog pens and this dog shaped tape dispenser. Being that both were pretty cheap I decided to get both (now did I need any of these items? No but I got them anyway, lol. Five Below reminds me of the Dollar Spot at Target and Daiso where there are just so many things that I didn't realize that I wanted until I saw them...). Later on when we picked the items we wanted to pay, we went back to the front of the store to pay for those items. To pay, it was all self check out registers. We were able to ring ourselves up but we did see a family that had some trouble and needed assistance from a employee. Although we did not have trouble going through the self check out, we did see a male employee at a register who was on his phone. My husband asked him if he was open and he said 'you have to use the self check out' and then went back to his phone ... I think that is pretty poor customer service, as you show to the customer that you do not want to lift a finger to help, especially when there was no line and the store was clearly not busy... (sorry but young people today....). But overall, we were able to find the items we needed (and more) and had a positive visit. If I lived in this area, I would most likely be a regular.
