Savers thrift store is more like, the Costco of thrift stores. You could literally spend an hour in here EASY. They pack these aisles and boy are there options on options. Savers typically isn't the cheapest thrift store option but they make up with big clean stores, readily accessible bathrooms and an easy self check out. I love Savers for the book section, it is massive. They even have it broken down in sections just to give you an idea. I collect books so yeah I fell like I'm at Borders back in the day. Prices are pretty great, so start that library today haha This location is new, and it's very welcome to join the neighborhood of Salvation Army and Goodwill only about 5 minutes away. When this location first opened I was here a lot. As time has gone on, the pricing is too much. Things are priced way higher than they should be. This is a thrift store. Items with price tags are priced above that price. Items from dollar tree and target dollar spot. The pricing is also so inconsistent. I asked once who prices the items and was told exactly what I thought... it's done randomly. Except clothing. I was told clothing goes to the HB store to be priced. I would prefer to support thrift stores who offer fair pricing and will most likely limit my time here. The staff is not very friendly or helpful and spend the majority of their time chatting with each other near the self checkout stands. One positive is you receive a 20% coupon if you donate. I found 'Savers' in Laguna Hills to be a clean, well organized and very large thrift store. I enjoyed walking around, looking at the books, kitchenware, clothing, and more. I was, I'll admit, surprised by the prices in this thrift store; higher than other thrift stores I've visited in S. California. Favorite thrift shop in this area. Always clean & organized & no bad mildew smell & with friendly workers. I love this place because I always end up leaving with great finds. However, always pay attention to price tags, some item prices just don't make sense for a second hand store. They offer a wide selection of items from jewelry, handbags, clothes to all household items. My kids love thrifting So they were excited to find this savers close to our vacation rental. Savers is a large thrift store chain and there is one near my son's college. The savers here is very large and well stocked and organized. The book section in particular was extremely impressive. They had accurately divided books into different categories. Someone actually took the time to separate things which made browsing much more enjoyable. There was a very good selection of clothing, and just an okay selection of housewares. Often would go in here, and frequently found something, a treasure very reasonably priced. As of the last few times, unfortunately this has not been the case. Right now, they are having a sale on long sleeve clothing, but everything else priced as is. Found this really cool collectors, cookie jar thought my kids would really like it, unfortunately it's being sold for $49 here! And as you could see according to the picture, it was originally sold for $14 at a store. All the pricer has to do is look at the price tag at the bottom, that's what me the customer did. There were some cool vintage stuff, for some reason whoever does the pricing when they think it's an antique that they could make a lot of money on it. That's the impression I'm under right now. Once again, these are donations. It would be nice if things moved off the floor faster perhaps lowering prices on stuff?? One of my favorite things to do is purchase things when a holiday is over such as Christmas, and save an item for next year because it's so nicely priced. This isn't the case here after Christmas all the stuff remain the same price after the 25th so now I know not to bother going here on holidays or after holidays. Very disappointed. read more

I used Savers twice to donate clothes, housewares, and some other random items. The one given to me is valid through the end of the year. Browsing around, I noticed the store carries replicas. They are not described as such. It would be nice to see some description of the item for what it is. My husband recognized a Supreme hoodie as being a replica, but what about people who think they're purchasing the real thing? In any case, other merchandise may attract the thrifter or looky-loo: cookwares, books, authentic clothing, shoes, bags, and more. FYI, there are no dressing rooms. This is not the best Savers. The store doesn't have the best thrift finds when it comes to apparel. They do not have a good selection for a lot of things. There is a lot of washed out, older clothing that should've been tossed- not donated. The shoes are old, dirty, and have a lot of defects. The bags selection were all of worn out bags. Today I dropped off some sneakers at the Donation Center. I decided to give away the shoes I no longer wear so they could go to people in need. And I decided to walk into the store to see what they had. What immediately caught my attention was the high prices. Shoes for $20, $17, almost the same as in stores that sell new items. But these are used things, worn things. They shouldn't cost that much. If the store is called Savers, why not make the prices lower? People can't always afford to pay that much, and they need good clothing. So I would recommend lowering the prices, because the items come to you for free. I've been shopping at this Savers for a while and used to really enjoy coming in on Wednesdays when the sale color would change. It was a great way to find new items at a discount, and there used to be plenty of sale-tag items on the racks...sometimes 10 or more per clothing section. Recently, I've noticed a change. While the sale color still changes each Wednesday, there are now very few items with that color tag available...sometimes barely any at all. It feels like the sale is being advertised, but not many items are actually being included. If this is a new strategy, it's frustrating, especially for those of us who shop secondhand for affordability. It doesn't make sense to pay nearly brand-new retail prices for used clothing. Savers has always been a great option for budget-conscious mothers, but this change really takes away from that value. I hope they'll reconsider how items are included in the weekly color sale so that it continues to be a meaningful benefit for customers. read more

Savers has replaced the venerable Pic N Save (later, Big Lots) store that dominated the Laguna Woods adjacent strip mall for years. It remained vacant for many months, but has now become Savers. I knew from the moment I walked in that something was off. The smell of old stuff? The atmosphere of crammed merchandise? The people walking around looking at this melange of old and new (mostly used)clothing, bedding, linens, doodads. There is an attempt at organization here, but it's really up to the buyer to find what they're looking for...sort of haphazard organization. Or something. We've had dollar stores, discount stores, cut rate stores and now we've got a true thrift store. Sort of a poor man's Goodwill Store. I think I'll stick to Amazon. I recommend wearing a face mask when entering this store...no telling what you're breathing when you're here. read more

Had a small problem with someone taking my cart after I paid for my items and was getting my car. The store manager was very kind and went out of his way to look up the video to find out that the cart was taken by a woman and left in the back of the store. He sent three security people to search for it. They found it with all of my items in it. They turned an unpleasant situation into a positive one. I thank them for their concern and help. I recently took a trip to Southern California, and literally went straight from the airport to this savers, which I had seen online. The selection was great, and I found a lot of more trendy pieces compared to other thrift stores I have been to, both in the area and elsewhere. The one thing I didn't like was that there was a lot of overstock from I think Walmart, so you had to dig through those to get to the good vintage items. I did find a really great condition coach bag, but I thought that it was a bit overpriced. Be sure to bring donations if you plan on visiting because they will give you a 20% off coupon. I am an avid thrifter. I know every single thrift store in Orange County and this savers will not be on my list. It's located in a retirement community so it's all older generations clothes. This place is amazing! I am a seasoned thrifter and this place rocks. Super organized and clean and employees are happy, pleasant and efficient.
