I spent about $67 here. Service was very friendly. I accidentally left behind a necklace that I purchased, so the shop immediately called me and told me that they had it. I have come here a few times so a review is overdue. During my latest visit I came to both stores, there's an outlet and a regular thrift store a few doors down from each other. The outlet store was having a $2 sale, every item in the store was $2! I bought myself a few shirts and found clothes for my husband also. I spent less than $20 and got a few outfits for myself and husband. My mom and daughter also bought several items. In the outlet store has clothes on hangers, on tables and bins you have to dig thru to find gems but there were a lot of good finds. In the regular shop (photos included) , I got a j Jill dress for $6 and really nice jacket layer for $6 also, both brand new and with tags still attached. They often have sales at both locations and good selections. I would agree with comments about this being an overtly Christian store which at times has made me uncomfy but I have also witnessed sweet moments as well. They give away bibles to anyone who wants one. During my last visit there was a gentleman who was unhoused or fallen on bad times, he came into the store and shopped for clothes from the outlet $2 sale. He was treated kindly and with dignity. The store employee knew him and tried to get him connected to local assistance for him. I am down with this kind of Christianity. read more

Carrie has a beautiful soul. She treated me with the utmost kindness, complemented me, was very attentive... She said she loved customer service and it shows 1000%. If you've never been here, you're in for a real treat! (I looked up thrift store's near me and second impressions popped up but this definitely isn't a typical thrift store it's more like a storefront that you'd see while window shopping at Newport Beach. Now, to mention the pricing... omg I even asked her "who marks these prices"? Bc they are incredibly low for excellent if not, brand new-in style clothing at ridiculously low pricing! This is my FAVORITE thrift store, and we make the rounds at quite a few a LOT! Carrie and Brandon are lovely, the new boutique side is *gorgeous* - and the original side is still fully stocked. Got an incredible haul of fall and winter sweaters, jeans, etc. a few weeks ago, and this weekend went wild at the boutique. All the best brands, prices that can't be beat, and things I wouldn't typically "get" to buy for myself. All I can say is - put this on your list and get there! read more

A fun and charming store for used or slightly used items at great prices! You're bound to find something there whether it be clothing, jewelry, books, shoes, or knick knacks. They put a lot of care into this store and it shows. Beautifully decorated any time and especially at Christmas. This resale store has a great selection of clothes priced at very reasonable prices and the proceeds go to a good cause. They're also very easy to donate your gently used or new/barely worn items to. They also take stuffed animals which most places don't assuming they are clean and in great condition. The staff is friendly and hours of accepting donations are ( I believe) until they close whereas a lot of other places that take donations only do so in a three to four hour window certain days of the week. read more

Do not go to this place!! My parents went to shop their $5 sale at the boutique that's part of Second Impressions and the cashier forgot to remove the security tag. They didn't notice this until a couple days later, when my dad went to get this security tag removed off this $5 SHIRT! The woman helping my dad made him feel like he had shoplifted!!! This is absolutely ridiculous!!!! They treated him like a criminal all because THEY forgot to remove the stupid security tag! They actually had him waiting there checking SECURITY FOOTAGE to make sure they actually paid the entire $5 for this stupid piece of clothing! Once they saw he was saying the truth they removed it but not before the woman humiliated him and treated him like absolute garbage! I always shopped here and told all my friends about how amazing this place was... until now. They may not care because clearly this is acceptable behavior for them but this is such disgusting behavior for people who claim to help others and be Christian. I'm appalled and furious that this happened! Please do not support businesses who treat others in such horrible ways! read more

I found this store on Yelp and I didn't read much through the reviews , I mainly went off the high rating. Selection 3/5 I feel like this store could have been curated a little bit better. I saw a lot of Cider, Target , Forever 21. I would expect a little more curation out of a South County thrift store. I did find a few good items and I felt like the pricing was extremely fair. Store cleanliness: 5/5 Very well organized and clean store. Aesthetically very beautiful. Atmosphere 2/5 I didn't realize before walking in that it was a VERY Christian business. Nothing wrong with that , however I felt a bit uncomfortable walking in heavily tattooed and they had Christian music absolutely blasting. I have no problem with religion , but I'm not fond of shopping to Christian music and it was kind of overwhelming. I actually almost left because it just felt a little pushy. However I did like that they had donation boxes for various causes at the register. I just felt a little awkward ? Im not sure Id come back because I don't really like businesses that insist on pushing their religion. Love in & out , but they don't blast Christian music. And it wasn't even Christian Rock. I feel like this is the perfect thrift store for the middle aged white women who love their Lord and Savior, but I think I'd prefer the Orange circle thrifts. read more

Like most thrifts, they do have some of the designer / nicer items behind the counter but no mid tier separation from general so you'll have to dig a bit! I did find that it wasn't super clear how the women's was divided up which isn't bad! Probably because they had so much to choose from...so yeah! Just requires some time and energy to weave through all the racks :) Store selection 3.5/5 They had a lot of jewelry here so if you're looking for that this place seems good! They had more men's clothes than most thrifts (about 3 racks). The brands ranged from fast fashion/ cheaper brands (forever 21, old navy) to mid tier brands (madewell, banana republic). From what I could tell and everything seemed to be in good condition, somethings still with tag on. I saw one Prada shirt that was kinda fun to try on but it was not for me haha. They also had a lot of bathing suits interestingly! Overall the style ranged from young to old, more generic modern options than vintage. For me, I found about 4 pieces worth trying on after about 40mims of browsing and took home 2 pieces. Not a ton that we're my type but that's the luck of the draw with thrift shops! Store pricing 4/5 I think the pricing is reasonable. I think most of what I saw was $4-$15. They had a lot of discount too! Like for today, 8/20, anything dated I think 7/10 or earlier was 50% off so my shorts which were priced at $8 came down to $4. I saw some negative reviews and I just had to update mine, I am a big fan. I've been going there, the people there are very kind owner couple and several volunteers from a church (I believe), and I have NEVER once felt being treated unkindly or lack of respect by anybody. The items are mostly in great condition and prices are super low, they are clean and organized although I wish they were a little bigger. I find great bargains and always happy to visit them. Inspired store is not a thrift shop I believe, so I don't actually shop there but enjoy visiting here and there. There are always ample parking spots on the backside which is just a few flat steps from the store, I really hope that people start appreciating these business owners that are doing such wonderful job in helping the community and less-fortunate, and return/support in kind. read more

This long overdue review pertains to BOTH, Second Impressions AND Inspired the Boutique. I received another text message from them today, which reminded me that I needed to share my experience. TLDR version: Overpriced, false advertisement, shady business practices, WILL NOT GO BACK to Inspired the Boutique or Second Impressions!!! Longer version: Back on May 5th, I went to an event that I was led to believe was happening at Second Expressions thrift store (See pic of text from them). When I got to the store it was closed, which was super disappointing/frustrating, because I had parked far away and I'm partially disabled. As I was leaving, I drove past another store that had a tent set up outside and thought maybe they had set up there because Second Impressions is tucked back in the corner without a place to do a tent. I rolled my window down and asked the guy in the tent if this was for the Second Impressions event, and he said yes. So I drove around for a while until I could snag another parking spot (again far away, because El Ranchito was having a Cinco de Mayo event) and made my way over to that other tent location. Turns out, this was for another store called Inspired the Boutique. When I go in the store, I was bummed to find it was just clothes. No books, games, toys, random trinkets or home decor, which is what I've purchased in the past from Second Impressions and expected to buy this time as well. But since I was there, figured I'd check out the men's clothing. Yikes, ridiculously overpriced for what you'd expect from a thrift store! I'm talking well over Goodwill or Salvation Army. But per their text they were doing a ring toss to win "up to 30% off on your highest priced item!" so I went to give that a try, in an effort to make a shirt I found be a more reasonable price. But to add insult to injury, after everything else, you could only win up to 20% off (see 2nd pic of ring toss). WOW, false advertising much? I went back inside and asked the lady at the register about it, and also about why I had received an invite to an event for Second Impressions that was actually for another store with a completely different inventory, and she said that the text I received came from their Boutique store that is owned by the same people. I showed her the text that only said Second Impressions and she said she'd have to check into that. I told her that's kinda shady that I gave my info to one store, and then get texts from a completely different store. And then what about the 20% ring toss game instead of the 30%? Her response was "too many people had won the 30% so we removed it." WTF?!?! I stood there speechless and then just walked out. I did mention to the guy in the tent on my way out that I would be sharing my experience on yelp, and now I've made good on that promise. Obviously I won't be returning to either of their stores! read more

Overpriced junk. I am not sure what people are loving about this store. I don't understand the good ratings. The clothes were not really in good shape, limited selection, and the prices are not thrift store prices. You can find brand new clothes in ROSS, Burlington, Walmart, and Target for the same price in the clearance section (and cheaper). I am not really into thrifting, my daughter and friends recently convinced me to give it a try. The only two times I've been in a thrift store was in Gig Harbor, WA a few years back and the experience was exceptional. Almost everything in the store was in like new condition and many items were brand new. There were brand names items (some still with tags) for $.50 to $2-3 a piece. This was not my experience in this store. The clothes and shoes were not only old (and obviously worn) but some had holes and tears. Prices were not good either. Maybe this is Orange County's idea of thrifting. Maybe they don't know better. I am not sure. I really don't get the high ratings. Giving the second star because the store was clean and the two ladies were nice. No, thank you. I will never be back. read more

Second Impressions is one of those thrift stores that a shopaholic lives for. Dollar racks, high quality clothes, extremely reasonable prices for non-dollar items, designer clothes, and friendly, personable customer service. The presentation, organization, and displays at this location are pleasing and tantalizing to the eye. Since the day I discovered this gem of a place, I am hooked clear line and sinker! So many cute clothes and they are constantly getting new items in all the time. Doesn't hurt that proceeds go to a charitable cause. Wow, just wow! Cannot wait to get back there.
