If I could give negative stars I would. The staff is extremely rude and there was a woman with long hair being rude to anyone who wanted balloons. It was ridiculous and she was saying a bunch of rude stuff to customers under her breath. read more

Went in for some balloons. The kid at the register stared at me blankly as I asked him if I could get some balloons filled up. Then looks around for another employee and tells me she's on her break. Then proceeds to ring up other customers. I wait about 5 minutes then ask him if he knows how much longer she'll be on her break. He holds up his pointer finger at me basically telling me to wait as he continues to ring up other customers. Never turns around to address me at all. read more

Legit if you don't want to work here-then don't- I don't usually leave negative reviews- but the girl working at the register had the worst attitude ever! I love that there is a new dollar tree so close to where I live! I have an extreme obsession with dollar stores. This one happens to be one of my favorites. They have only been open about 2 weeks now... and everything is so clean and organized and stocked... its so beautiful :) It smells new. It looks new. It is new. And I... am so excited. LOL The staff is really friendly as well. The only negative, is its really dark in this part of the shopping center... they definitely need more lighting! read more

I've been to many Dollar Trees and one way to make an honest review is to observe how neat and clean each aisle is and that all the shelves are stocked. This Dollar Tree was everything and more. I was impressed by the arts & crafts they carry. Granted it's not Michael's or Hobby Lobby, but this is where to go to try a new craft without spending big bucks on something we didn't enjoy afterall. I'll add what other goodies I find on my next trip. read more

My mom and I have been going to this location for years. The older guy there is always so nice to us. This is the first time we've had a bad experience here was with the blonde manager. My mom and I were waiting in line while these two entitled persian ladies were shoving us TWICE asking the first guy where a product was they went back they came back again shoving us again then asking the blonde manager for help and she was about to leave when we were there first. My mom told them no that's rude we were here first. The manager was completely unprofessional and should have told them to wait their turn. Will be calling corporate about that disgusting behavior. read more

Popped in for some candles and party favors and ended up walking away with tons of Christmas decorations! Lovely little store, well organized and stocked. One star has been taken off because there was only one cashier on a Sunday evening and a very long queue. read more

First I want to say that this store (23042 Alicia Pkwy, MV) is excellent in terms of organization & fully stocked. I would give it 5 stars. On the other hand in term of customer service is horrible. It only deserves 1 star. I never experienced a bad service to the point I have to write a review. I went on 6/1/23 at 12 noon. The cashier was a young man. As he ran up my stuffs, he was tossing everything very roughly to the point that one thing was fallen off to the floor that I had to picked it up. I told him please don't tossed them so hard. A lot of stuffs are breakable. I bought about $58 dollars of purchase. First he made a mistake of closing the register without giving me my change. Second when he was able to, he gave me the wrong amount. I was short charged. I told him so finally he gave me the correct change. Worst of all he toss my change pretty hard on the table. I find that pretty rude. He could just put the money on the table & I will pick them up. He didn't need to put them on my hands. I don't want to cause this young man any harm but his manager needs to tell him that he needs to change his attitude in order to be successful in life specially in retail. read more

I usually head to the Dollar Tree on Alicia closer to the 5 freeway, but just happened to be passing by this location today and popped in for a few bits and pieces. For it not being open that long, the flooring has seen better days. Nevertheless, was pleased that they had everything in stock that I was looking for (cards, blank cards, bubble bath) and that things were easy to find. Clerk working behind the tills was super friendly - good, cheerful conversationalist. There wasn't anyone else shopping in there whilst I was there - thought that a bit peculiar? read more

I went in to buy a birthday card today, and there were two female cashiers who had lines open. One older male who also worked there was talking to one of the cashiers without wearing his mask, and frankly slowing her down in my opinion. Because he wasn't wearing his mask, I therefore went to the other lady's line so that I wouldn't need to be near the employee not wearing a mask. When the cashier he was speaking to closed her line, he then moved to help the other cashier with her line (the line I was now waiting in). Then he outright took over her line, leaving me no safe options other than to leave the store without buying the card, as I didn't want a maskless employee handling my merchandise. He wasn't wearing gloves either. Very inconsiderate! I wasted about a half hour of my day and came home empty handed. When I got home, I called the headquarters, and wasn't sure if my message got through, as their answering machine cut me off. I'm very unimpressed with the customer service I received today. read more

Only giving one star because 1) I'm not allowed to leave zero, and 2) I like that the balloons are only $1. Every time I go into this store (various times/days of the week), there's always a bunch of customers. Which is great for business, but WHY DO THEY ONLY HAVE ONE CASHIER?? Always. I've only once seen two employees working at the same time, and the other employee was wiping down the windows.... while there was a line of people at the register. The cashier was doing her best, so soooooo incredibly slow. No pep in her step or desire to get the customers rang up and out of the store. I honestly don't even remember if the second employee came to help or not. The reason for this particular review is because I went in to get a few birthday balloons, but there was no one around to help me. Again, only one cashier and there were 9 people in line. NINE! I counted. Unfortunately I only have an hour for lunch, so I did not stay to buy balloons. Had to go somewhere else. Please please if any sort of management reads this, HIRE MORE PEOPLE! read more

The Dollar Tree is often overlooked and under rated. This Dollar Tree store is a terrific place to purchase fabulous gift bags, party favors, cleaning supplies, office supplies and greeting cards. I usually go in for one item and leave with bags filled with treasures. read more

Must say, I'm a bit disappointed! I shop at this store quite frequently and everyone that works here is quite nice...until today. Not crazy for this chain in general, very subpar compared to 99cent only stores. The selection is kind of small, their funky off brand names from China are off putting and not worth going in. I'm surprised to see this chain in a more affluent area....doesn't seem to fit. I know that people of all income levels like to save money, but for me, this store isn't doing it! read more

Perfect place for quick seasonal decor! Their Halloween selection is too cute for what you pay for. Staff was nice, helpful and even gave us tips on how to make more use of the bins we came in to buy. If you're not looking to spend too much cash on simple house nick-nacks this is the place for you. read more

I used to like Dollar Tree. It's Pretty much like the 99 cent only store, until today... THEY WON'T GIVE A REFUND ON ANYTHING NOW. I bought some items to make a project, and was not sure how much I needed. So I brought back all the unopened items I did not need. I was told all I could get was an exchange. But They must be in financial crisis because their policy now says they won't refund anything they sell. (Or maybe they have no faith in the products they sell? Makes me think of "SOLD AS IS - BUYER BEWARE") I will now be shopping 99 cent only store, they are a little further away, but at least I can get a refund for things I don't need. read more

This store was a big disappointment today. They only had ONE cashier and the line was wrapped around the store. The second cashier came and was not wearing a mask. The store policy says that to enter the store that one must have a face covering. That is awful ! The owner of this store should follow their guidelines! read more

For the past several months, if you don't buy their bag and bring your own, the cashiers rudely toss it and expect you to bag everything. While bagging, they'll take the next customer even if you aren't done yet and NOT help at all. Today at teh very front of the store a worker must have been sweeping but left ALL the dirt right in the middle in front of the entrance, and didn't bother sweeping it away and throwing it. What a disgusting sight to walk in to! The workers are very rude, don't smile or care about the customers, it's sad. Such a great area, this is the attitude I saw in LA County, not South OC. the star is for the products they have..for consolation..been going here and everything was fine and the staff were courteous until i encountered a staff named AMY, caucasian and the manager ANGEL. Store isn't bad for little party decorations, cards, gift wrap/gift bags, and balloons. They also have other small things that are nice. Not good for normal shopping though, very cheap products. You kind of have to go in to see what they have to get an idea. Not a bad store, I don't know how well they will do in a higher middle class area like this though. read more

It has nice cashiers and employees are most likley friendly, but if you ever need to talk to that new store manager Lee, just avoid him, he doesn't help the customers or other employees , he'll just yell at you and then say he is not yelling he's just talking laud. They never have enough people working! Last time I was there, there were 9 people in line, only one register open, and the clerk are the counter was just talking her sweet old time chatting with the first customer. I had to remind her that there were 8 other people waiting for her to call backup. When the other clerk arrived they took someone who wasn't even in line yet. Some of the merchandise here is a true bargin. Others fall apart before you even get it home. I suppose you can't ask much in the way of merchandise for $1. Will never step foot in this store again, totally gross and stuff thrown every where. Someone could take a broom to the floor and sweep now and than. Boxes of stuff all over the ground, looks like they never stock you just help yourself to what's in the boxes. When u get to the register to pay, you have to ring the bell for help. WTH!! This one's a doozy! The day I went, there was only one person working at the register and this poor kid named Justin was trying to handle everything from checking people out (with extreme courtesy!) to handling a lady screaming that there wasn't toilet paper in the ladies room! Again, poor kid. Well, the line was beginning to get very long because a customer had over 80 things to purchase. A customer waiting in that long line came up to ask if he would call for another cashier and as soon as he had the opportunity. After inishing the long transaction, he requested help over the intercom system. Still, no one came. After about 5 more minutes, the same customer asked for him to call for help again. That is when another customer got on the intercom that was located at the next register and called for help for him. Still, no one came to help him. The line was ridiculous by now. The same customer who asked him to call for help then went to knock on the manager's door. Still nothing. Finally, a young girl came out of the office with a cashtray in hand. I thought, "YAY!" But as she passed Justin, she said told him that the call for help was totally inappropriate and blah blah blah. The customer who did get on the intercom apologized to her and told her that it was her fault and not Justin's. She then said to the customer, "Well, that is still totally inappropriate for you to do." Again blah, blah, blah. So a man who was waiting in line said to the girl, "Don't you think it is inappropriate to have customers waiting in this long line?" Then this girl snapped. She started arguing with the man (well he didn't argue back) and said that he doesn't have to stand in that line and that he can leave. She also said things like the call out for help will create "mass hysteria." Really? This girl was so unprofessional and rude! Usually this store has such friendly people. I am mainly writing because I do not want this employee, Justin, to be terminated. I've been here before and he is always so nice and stayed professional the entire time even when his co-worker tried to embarrass him. I truly hope that girl wasn't the manager because she obviously does not place customer service as a priority. Seriously, arguing with a customer and telling him to leave and go somewhere else? By the way her excuse for not helping him was that she was dealing with a customer's emergency behind that closed door. Again, really? That girl is the reason for not having 5 stars. DON'T FIRE JUSTIN! By the way, she's the only rude worker I have ever encountered there. read more

First time in this particular Dollar Tree. Every aisle is a complete mess. It looks like a bomb went off in it. Half empty boxes overflowing with random items in already narrow aisles. Tripping hazards. This store has not been cleaned in a very long time. In the toy department there are still display boxes saying " great stocking stuffers". Every single aisle was a complete mess. I went last night about an hour before closing. There was one employee hanging reading glasses who also rang people up. There was one doing I don't know what. Not cleaning. There was one on his time-off purchasing items. I was one of 3 customers in the small store. When I bought my items they were friendly to me. But I did observe the prior transaction. Apparently one employee when describing the customer in front of me called her an " old lady". She looked my age ( between 45-55). Now. I can see to a teenager how that seems old. Probably their parents age. But that is rude to say to anyone. Dollar Tree should pay their employees more so that they aren't all teenagers and very young adults, and would have more common sense and customer service skills than to address their customers as" old lady's ". She was insulted and it hurt her feelings and she certainly made it known. I felt bad for the customer and I think I was the only one that did. Because this Dollar Tree was a complete mess, and the employees were rude to a customer , I will not be returning to this store. There is another Dollar Tree and a few 99 cents only stores and of course a very clean and professionally staffed Daiso within a couple of miles of here. If I need items I am going there. read more
