Went in last night to grab an outfit for an interview I had today. I wanted to give a huge thank you and recognition to Caroline, that was working the changing room area, she went about and beyond to help me narrow down my selection , to pick the perfect interview outfit for me. Not only did a walk into my interview feeling confident in my outfit, but the value is unmatched. Some honorable mentions are Eva, for running to check if she could find a shirt I liked in a differing size, while unsuccessful, she brought something back I ended up liking more and wearing today to my interview. Dress pants, nice interview shirt, and dress shoes for$60, what a steal, best value around. The cashier at the front was also amazing, she had a smile on her face, and brightened my evening telling me about the full double rainbow that was outside the store earlier. All the employees interacted with were working hard, and were extremely pleasant. While I was being rung up, a line of 2-3 were gathering. There were two more employees behind the register (one my have been training) I did notice they didn't seem in a hurry to clear the line, almost waiting for the cashier Elisa to do all the transactions. This is a zero star review, I have to choose 1 star or I cannot leave the review. Have your employees leave their personal beliefs at home or don't work. Came in January 28th and an older lady with grey hair was working along with others. I was next in line and she looks right at me knowing when she finished with the current customer at her register that I was going to be next. She purposely made up something so I would not be waited on by her. If you are prejudice learn how to cope or don't work in retail. I'm black and she was white. It was too obvious and she knows it. Quality/Quantity: Really good size store that neatly maintained with a lot of really good products. I grabbed a holiday pillow and Otani Angels shirt. Both were a great deal. Really awesome selection! Like all other TJ Maxx locations, their prices are very reasonable and they have great deals. The place was well-stocked and everything was very organized. Their clearance selection for the beauty and skincare was quite large. The checkout line was pretty long, but moved rather quickly. The customer service I received today at this store was very poor. I came in to return a pair of shoes I had purchased there. I wore them only once and the soles were peeling off like paper. Very defective. I had purchased the shoes in August but did not wear them until last week and I wore them only once when I saw the soles were peeling off. The manager was called for the return. His name was Gio. He refused to allow me to return the shoes even though they were obviously very defective because the return period was up. The shoes are unwearable. I am very unhappy about this of course. Sadly it is not the first time I had an issue with the customer service I received there. Now that I am aware that some of their merchandise is defective and it is not disclosed or indicated on the tag, I will stop shopping here. read more

I stopped by to check out their hair care products and ended up spending over an hour looking through all their products. My friend recommend me a thickening shampoo that's done wonders for her hair. I found it and added it to my cart. I ended up buying a ton of shit I didn't need and some things I did need. I updated all my towels which was really great! Got a pair of slippers that I originally asked for, for Christmas but half the price! The make up section with the eye shadow pallets were nice but most were damaged which was disappointing but save me from spending more money.Overall was a pleasant experience and I'll be back in a few months! read more

I know they are going to face a lot of issues about exchanging and so on, but Silvia must know not to judge customers based on her bad experiences. They have a good selection of things to choose from. I feel everythings always well stocked. I sometimes come in and get some candles and such. Everyone here is usually very nice during the visits to the place. They have great prices and the people are friendly. The only reason I'm leaving the lower review though, is the wait time today to checkout was insane. Not sure if it was because it was a weekend or what... I was pretty upset over it. Fix your A/C! It is always sweltering hot in the women's dressing room no matter the time of year. I give up shopping here. Trying on clothes while you're hot and sticky is a miserable experience. It has been this way for years! They can never seem to figure it out. They're aware of it because they always keep a fan running at the entrance for air circulation in the dressing room. There was No misbehaving, there was no bad mouthing and I am still waiting for the store manager to call me so I can talk to them. I am writing this review and hope for upper management see and pay attention to. The store is such an unorganized with many rude associates. The store manager is a great role model for associate to be rude and unprofessional. It was such a bad experience that I will share this so people at least know where they are going. Megan the manager has an anger issue and cant answer any questions. Im sure she has a story to tell thats why she is a manager! The first quality of a manager is to be calm, polite, pleasant to talk to not an aggressive, impolite irritated manager who doesnt know how to handle a simple question. A small and spiffy TJ Maxx location. The store seemed very organized and clean with the exception of the toy section which looked like a child-sized hurricane had ripped through it. We found a bathroom rug, shower curtain and some pillows that came home with us. Good "TJ Maxx prices" if you are lucky enough to find something you want. I stopped to shop at T.J. Maxx on 27690 Santa Margarita Pkwy. in mission Viejo. The place was busy but kept clean. The store looks small from the outside but it was well stocked and organized. I was looking for men's leather gloves since it has been very cold due to snow at lower elevations. I could not find a suitable pair for me to ware. I went to the pet department and found some toys for Paisley & Buddy and bought them. I also bought some items for the home that we needed. This place needs a serious customer service overhaul. Had several bad experiences with multiple people, including one who thought her unsolicited smart ass comments were cute about an outfit I tried on, another who didn't want to be bothered to help me find something, another who was upset and scoffed and rolled her eyes at me because I passed her checkout because another cashier was available before hers. I came in to spend money. I didn't need all the attitude. There seems to be a culture of disrespect with workers there, that has been encouraged or not addressed. First off let me tell you whoever they have running that place tonight is just clueless I asked for the manager and Gary answers well I'm one of the managers here. So I told him my problem was I was trying to return something that I got from a combo store which is a TJ Maxx HomeGoods in Moreno Valley today and the Coordinator would not allow it so I called to speak to the manager Gary I guess. I was told first off to take it back to Moreno Valley I live here in Mission Viejo so I'm not going back anytime soon to learn about then I'm told to take it to a combo store there's one in the movie so Viejo well I'm not in Aliso Viejo right now I'm in Mission Viejo. When I purchased this item I was told I could take it back to any TJ Maxx or Home Goods that's a lie. Because I can't. They expect me to take this back to another store and then come back and buy what I was intending to exchange it for yeah that's not going to happen. This is the last time I shop at one of these discount retailers they don't know how to treat their customers and they could care less about the problems they've caused. Do yourself a favor and don't shop here. Well Gary tells me he can't do it because he can't find anything else for that price excuse me how's that my fault that's not my problem. Then he says if anyone can do it the manager in the morning can she'll be here at 7:00 a.m. and I could come back then or call then sorry not come back call her at 7:00 a.m. because he can't do it even though he's the manager again another inconvenience to me all they want to do is with my time my gas my money I'm not having it as far as I'm concerned I hope the place goes out of business because I won't be shopping there again or any other sister stores. I purchased products on Nov 16,2022 at Mission Viejo CA location#80137. I went to return a knitwear at same store on  Nov 28. They said I couldn't return one of the shirts because the tag doesn't match the product, but I bought it as I returned it. I paid $49.99 and come to find out the knitwear is $19.99; so not only was I overcharged but the staff at this store were extremely rude and unprofessional. I spoke to the manager who said he'd do what he could and get back to me with a resolution. It's been over a week and I haven't received any correspondence. The entire ordeal was very unhelpful and quite frankly wasted my time. Moreover, how could something like this even happen? How could your store sell a product with the wrong tag? I've completely lost faith in shopping at your stores after being overcharged, receiving poor customer service and still having no answers as to why I'm being held responsible for a mistake made by your employees. read more

This is a descent TJ Maxx with a huge selection and a ton of clearance items. The line at check out can be pretty long, but I have always been lucky with kids clothes as well as items for my home here. Prices are great and you can find tons of higher end brands. Always worth stopping in to see what they have. read more

Okay - all I can say is wow with this tj Maxx customer service. They are operating so well under COVID-19. They have this lady in the front that wipes down the carts and hands you one and the one that was working today 7/29 around 2 was so so so nice and upbeat! Most of the employees are really nice here but this lady was just so positive and upbeat. The store itself is a little empty right now but I think they had signs saying they are waiting for inventory to come in - I would wait a week before going in. UPDATE: I just read a review below and changed my review from 5 to a 4 because Megan if you really are the manager of TJ max that is absolutely Ridiculous to message a customer. My adult daughter is a frequent customer at the store. This evening, she went in the handicapped dressing room to try on some clothes. There was no one waiting. The associate began wiggling the door know and vacate the room as a handicapped person was waiting. My daughter is handicapped and told the associate she doesn't need to provide proof. When she exited the room there was no one waiting. She was visibly stressed when she returned home. We called the store and let them know this happened. read more

Where is it posted if you buy beauty products and the seal is broken you can't bring it back because another idiot customer opened it first and dipped their finger into the product to try it. Disgusting! Either post near these products or have your employees at the check stand check the outside seal on the box or if the box is opened check the contents. They claim we don't post the warning or check it. Hummm.... So you get screwed on it and they still make money off of you. Why don't you check your shelves to see how many are opened or used! Went to TJ Maxx last week with my son to buy my wifes Mother's Day gifts and the store was full! We found a purse, a mug and earrings. When we got to checkout the line was huge. I figured we'd be waiting 20 mins but the line moved fast! I did find some coffee and my son found some bubbles while we waited. Our cashier was Megen, and she was friendly and asked my son about his bubbles and what his favrite color was. She even asked if we needed a gift receipt and had my son poke the screen for the receipt. A young man at the door waved bye to us when we left and told us to have a happy Mother's Day. It was a good trip! I can see why my wife shops here. Maybe I will come with her next time or maybe not. hahaha read more

I shopped here a couple of times in search of an outfit for a specific occasion or a specific item, but left feeling frustrated both times. While they seem to be a pretty clean and organized location, it could be partially because their inventory seems quite sparse. I have been to a few Ross Store locations here in Southern California that have this very same problem. I think the store would see better business if they added in more inventory and possibly another department for people to wander through. They could add in taller racks so that more inventory could be added in without the feeling of being too claustrophobic or cluttered. Many stores have a lot of wasted square footage and this is one of them. On this most recent trip in search of a pack of Woolzies or wool balls for the dryer, I only saw a sad, sparse little section in the farthest corner of the store with a few cleaning supplies and a couple of plastic dryer balls in some worn down looking packaging. Wandering into the children's section, I did find a cute little rabbit stuffed animal for my daughter to add to her Easter basket, but nothing else piqued my interest in their store. Well, today wasn't a success with career dresses, I'm afraid, but on the whole, this TJ Maxx is usually pretty good! From shoes, to lotions and hair products (VERY well stocked in this area), to handbags, active wear, and casual clothes, this TJ Maxx wins. I've lucked out here mostly with regards to weekend wear and maxi dresses. Fitting rooms are usually fairly swift. I haven't ever needed to ask any questions, so no comments about the customer services. The line at the tills can be a bit unbearable, so do remember to come with patience. (I've only ever seen two or three people working, but there are many more registers.) read more

I called the store yesterday to see if they had and Halloween items yet, as I'd just seen someone post something I wanted for this season on social media, I always feel bad calling stores because I know they're busy helping customers in person so I rarely do it and cringe while I do, but due to Covid I'm not going out a lot and didn't want to go if they didn't have anything. The lady who answered the phone was really upbeat and not only told me they did have a little Halloween Halloween out, but she volunteered that they just got some plates, described the ones I was looking for without me asking and the (very reasonable!) price points. When I arrived at the store, I was relieved to see everyone walking up already wearing masks, and a young man at the door cheerfully greeting people while keeping count of capacity for Covid purposes. There was another young man cleaning "high touch" areas like displays and door handles with disinfectant. People were trying to keep distance and follow the arrows on the floor. When I got to check out there were markers on the floor to space people out in the line a bit and when I got to the checkout counter they were cleaning in between guests and it smelled clean and amazing (I'm a bit of a germaphobe when there's not a pandemic going on) and the cashier asked if I was the one who called, she was who I spoke with on the phone, her name is Megan and she was awesome. So friendly, knowledgeable about the products, didn't make me feel weird for buying Halloween so early. I had only been shopping at the grocery store until this week and this was the best experience I've had at any of the three stores I've been to. Thank you TJMaxx for taking Covid seriously, Megan for all her help and positivity. As weird as it sounds, this shopping experience made me feel "normal" shopping again. This is my favorite time of year to start shopping for the Holidays and It was relaxing and fun, not stressful because of people not following safely guidelines, and it allowed me to browse and not feel gross and like I needed to get out ASAP. I have to make returns often, since I am looking for the perfect look for my new apartment. And they make it easy to return items! Very professional. Worst TJ Maxx I've ever been to. Not because their selection was terrible. All because their staff is rude and has no desire to help their customers. My girlfriend bought a sweater and it was to big so she went to return it and was faced with nothing but grief. First because she couldn't find the receipt they were rude and talked to her with a very condescending tone. After she was able to locate the receipt they wouldn't let her return it because there was 5 cat hairs on the sweater. My girlfriend asked to speak to the manger. Her name was BAILEY. She told my girlfriend the sweater was now "unsaleable". Needless to say Baileys supervisor needs to talk to her and let her know how to do her job properly. read more

I bought an online rug, when it arrived, the quality didn't match what I have been looking for and the color seem fading so I went to return, let s me tell you this, the Coordinator Wei.C gave me a hard time and said the rug has been used, and I told her it was not because the fading look is what they sold in this rug and that's the reason why i wanted to return, I could tell she has no experience in this case and really gave me a hard time to return while the fault is their low quality failure. She called the manager to evaluate the rug if I could return or not and of course the manager said I could return it because that s how that color look fading in that rug. Thanks God she saved me a headache and No I will never return to this store nor do I shopping online again due to the return policy in this store and the poor customer service Wei provided but I will never stop shopping in store at different location but not this one, No, thank you!
