Walking in with the item in the bag, I informed the girl at the last check stand my intentions. She said I needed to get in line. I said, "No, I am going to get the correct size and then get in line". At least the girl that walked up said, " Yes, sure. That makes sense". So that is what I did, finding 2 more things to buy before I got to the register. The poor girl could not even do an exchange. She had to call someone to help her. The item had been marked down from 2 days ago. I DIDN'T CARE! It was an even exchange. Pull your head out and use some common sense! The really wonderful part? They wanted to scan my driver's license! FOR WHAT? Because they needed to prove that I wasn't someone trying to scam them. Say, what? I am very happy to take my business to Kohl's or Ross. I spent over $200 in the store in the last few days but I will betcha that Kohl's won't have a problem taking it. Poor little girls ( the check out girl needed help and called someone else), common sense has not invaded their minds. They are happy to just follow corporate policies that don't make sense. No idea about invasion of privacy or corporate having too much information and big brother mentality. These girls are the future of the world, going along to get along. Too bad Maxx. You just lost a good customer.

I'm not tryna be some hip GenXer wannabe, I genuinely like the clothes here. I just happened to be the oldest customer in the store ha ha. This is where clothing and accessories (and some shoes) from Lulu's can be found at very low prices. Most of the items in the bins are $10 and the dresses are a bit more. I found a hooded sweatshirt for daughter and a knit wrap dress & summer hat for me. Everything was $10. There are dressing rooms at the back of the store so unlike the online store, you can actually try stuff on. There's something to be said about brick'n'mortar stores! Make sure to check the hours and days - they are open Fri - Sat. I also noticed they have a Senior Hour on Sunday from 10:00 - 11:00. I wonder if that's when they give out AARP discounts? They have the entire area blocked off currently, even the aisles that used to not be part of the part pharmacy are blocked off. I asked one of the pharmacy techs what was happening and was told they are expanding the pharmacy first floor and also building a second floor, which will house all of the pharmacists, where they will work separately. I didn't quite understand what the actual expansion was about. It seems like a lot of work to add a second story so that the pharmacists can be upstairs while the bottom level is used for pick up. Clearly, I'm a little confused on the actual reason for the 2nd story expansion. They also have a new "pay ahead via text" as well as "pick up from a locker" which I think is great. The only thing that's annoying with the lockers is, if you need council, you have to sit there and do it at the lockers at the video screen. It's just weird and will take some getting used to. However, with that said... For what it's worth, I guess it's an improvement over having to wait 20 minutes in line to pick up a prescription. Cheers to not having to wait in long pharmacy lines any more, yahoo!

The ever-changing inventory and set-up are similar to those of TJ Maxx and Burlington. However, I find Ross probably to be the least extravagant of the 3. This store tends to be messier, has longer lines, the quality of clothing is a little less acceptable, bathrooms are often locked [which is annoying], and sometimes there is an unpleasant smell inside. With that being said, if you take the time to look through the racks of clothing, you're sure to find something exceptional, and at a reduced price! I used to go here all the time for socks. I could get 5 3-packs for under $30. And the brand was Under Armour. This store can get crowded relatively fast, so come early in the morning. That's when I've noticed there are only handfuls of customers in the store. Service is excellent. I've returned clothes here before that just didn't work for me without hassle or interrogations.
