They restock on Thursday and Friday - everything from tools and car and motorcycle parts (we've purchased a bunch of this stuff but you have to know what you're looking for) to cheapo party decorations. Each day the price for anything you find in the bins goes down. Starts at $9 on Thursday, and by the next Wednesday, whatever is left is 50 cents. I've gotten everything from a decent pair of padded Nike shorts (for $4) to a bottle of Magnesium gummies (which I take daily) for 50 cents. The guys who run the place are always friendly and fun to joke around with.

HBC is a pretty big place with a big parking lot. It's a clean and orderly hodgepodge which makes it fun & you never know what you'll find. Prices are low! Anywhere between $1 and $15. I've found Limited Edition Russell Stover Chocolates, No-Carb Noodles & T-Shirts with the weirdest graphics and/or words on them in a variety of sizes but sometimes not the one you need. I have to say the last couple of visits didn't offer a great selection of Tee's so maybe the supplier's supplies are drying up. Hope not. Garden accessories, oddball knick-knacks, food & sodas, gift bags, office & school supplies, toiletries, auto & household items, etc. Some brands you'll know & some you won't but that's part of the fun. The people who run the 2 registers are fast & friendly & shelves are kept stocked.

Don't even bother asking them a simple question about a product because they're easily annoyed and will roll their eyes at you. They're unfriendly, unkind, rude and unprofessional. The manager Jesus is no better, he should've been fired YEARS ago. He has horrible customer service. Instead of being a problem solver, he is a DRAMA starter. He is unhinged, and mentally unstable. Jesus is tacky, ghetto and unprofessional. I've witnessed him kick multiple customers out simply because he felt like it. If anything this store is losing money because of him. He is a true diva who has a serious power trip and acts like everyone else is beneath him. They should really train their staff better but what can you expect from such an unprofessional manager? Not everyone there is awful. There is a slim female cashier who is always greeting people, she's pleasant and kind to deal with. The guy with tattoos is also very professional, friendly, and kind. The owner is reasonable, and pleasant. If you have any issues make sure you deal directly with him.

This was the first time when we visited a Dollar Tree and a Daiso in the same day. In this case, the nearby Dollar Tree in Artesia was quite a bit bigger, with a better selection of product. One thing I try to do on every Daiso visit, is to find a product I had not seen before at their store. This time, it was a large selection of fishing lures. Daiso has their pros, one of which being sturdy silicon kitchen utensils. They were marked as ¥200, which meant a $3.25 price (¥220 is also considered $3.25 for simplicity...though I haven't been able to find that price, which would make it seem like a 'sale'). I also picked up some non-BPA lightweight water bottles for use on our upcoming trip. One thing unusual is that this one has registers that have been somewhat converted into self-checkout. So checkout was a lot faster than previous visits.
