12/11/22 This shop location is HUGE! Although it is situated on a lonely plaza at the southeast corner of Artesia & Carmenita, it doesn't look like it get much traffic (patronage). I walked in and there a pretty long line (only one). Was just going in to get gift labels because I couldn't find the ones I stashed from last year. Figures! Everything looked well & organized, arranged accordingly, I love the neat factor! Got a few more gift bags, can never have too many of those & the gift labels. I have to prepare & wrap for my coworkers' gifts before the end of the day!! Yikes! By the time it's my turn to pay up, fortunately I was behind just one customer, score! One of the best dollar trees I've been to! They always have the cutest seasonal decor and lots of balloons available.

I happened to be in the area and needed to stop in for a few things. I was surprised how dead it was at 10am on a Sunday but then again this is Cerritos (it was a nice surprise). Store was very clean, lots of stocked merchandise, found everything I needed (& then some). No clutter anywhere like at some of the other Dollar Trees nor merchandise thrown all over. Cashier was very friendly and kind. I would definitely drive out of my way to shop here again or stop in if I am in the area. read more

As far as dollar stores go, this is the nicest one I've ever been in. Very neat and organized. I purchased some party stuff - plastic tablecloths, eating utensils, plastic plates and napkins. Okay, and a box of Junior Mints. Before I went to the checkout stand I wandered the aisles to see what all they sold. Greeting cards, gift wrap, cleaning supplies, automotive supplies, candy, chips, dairy, frozen foods, toys, soda pop, plastic containers, pet toys & supplies, beauty supplies, school supplies.... Once you see what all they stock it's a great place to go when you need those particular items. As I left the store I had to chuckle because the fine folks of Cerritos had protested and denied a Goodwill store to be located here a couple years ago because they didn't want "those kind of people" in their neighborhood. Fortunately they must have decided Dollar Tree attracts a much more upscale clientele. read more

Standard DT store located in the shopping center that houses a Paris Baguette and Otto Kitchen restaurant. Great place to get the one-offs everyone needs for parties (tablecloths, plastic cutlery, helium filled mylar balloons, decorations etc) and seasonal goods. Staff has always been super nice here and parking is never an issue. read more

I don't know how this store was in the past but this was definitely one of the better Dollar Tree experiences. It was big, had a lot to offer, and the workers here were very kind and stood out to me. Stopped going here after the bigger guy who usually wanders around at night was extremely rude to my wife. She was using the restroom and he tried to open the door... Noticed I was waiting for her and asked if she was OK.. I thought this was weird.. But blew it off.. Said yes she's fine.. Then stupidly like most guys, shared too much and said, probably just upset stomach... And he proceeds with the rudest voice and the longest eye roll "should I call and ambulance? Is she sick? Does she need 911?".. And in the other reviews I've read, yes alive can be a bit short.. She means well... And will definitely help you out.. I do have moments where I feel she hates her Job And everyone who walks in... But sometimes I catch it just right and she's cordial.. Prices here kind of really aren't worth it for the kind of service you deal with... There's a few great employees and the manager is pretty on top of things... Just some of the staff here shouldn't be working a job in retail. But, they keep the store clean and bathrooms clean... And shelves stocked... Even if sometimes the product has been cut open and is now stale. read more

We're probably all familiar with dollar tree - but this is my favorite one for when I have to find multiples of something. This store is a bit larger so it always seems like they have so much more of a certain product. It always appears to be well stocked so if you absolutely need dozens of a certain color table clover or the cute little lego-brick like party favor boxes I'd definitely make a trip this location. read more

I'm so glad this store opened up. The staff is super friendly. Although it's not a large location, I can still find what I need. I just threw a party, and this store saved me tons of money I decor. This location is closest to my house so I'm a regular customer here. Today I had a really bad experience with ALICE, she greeted my husband and I when we walked in and answered with a "Hello." She then followed us into the aisle and asked "What did you say?" My husband and I replied with "We said hello" she then rolled her eyes and walked away. I've seen this lady many times but this is the first time she decides to have an attitude. What can a pregnant women, her husband, and a one year old possible say or do for her to react this way? I really love Dollar Tree, I feel that it is much cleaner and well kept over the $0.99 variety. They have a bunch of things to capture your interest but the real treasures are in the party supplies and balloons. Dollar tree is hands down the best place to get gift bags in mylar balloons so you can get your party on for cheap. Customer service is always nice and the shelves are well stocked. If you are interested in some simple holiday stuff like table covers or fringe of some sort this is the place to be. read more

I bought a balloon bouquet from this store. The gal that checked me out and filled the balloons could not have been nicer. Now to the issue and the one star rating!! One of the balloons popped and I came back in to have it replaced. Esther, ( I think she's the manager) came out of the office and asked me if I needed any help. I said yes one of the balloons popped, she told me it was my problem the minute I leave the store!! She told me to purchase another or they could not help me!! When I was trying to read her name badge, she then, very RUDELY asked me what I was doing. She said, oh, you're trying to read my badge?! I said yes, and that I already had her name. She then told the other cashier she wasn't allowed to help me with this issue!! I know this is the dollar tree, but kindness should never be withheld from customers!! The customer service here is absolutely terrible!! I asked for a receipt after accidentally pressing no on the pin pad which was my fault but the workers were extremely rude about it when I asked for the receipt. I can't resist how the dollar tree throughout the years keeps adding to their inventory. I literally bought a pizza pan from here and it works just as good as any. They have just about everything and anything you can imagine. It's definitely a truly convenient store with a budget friendly price attached! Who can beat a dollar?!?! Now the only caution I will throw out there is that you can end up grabbing everything and pay more than you initially planned for. Imagine Easter shopping, from coloring egg packets, to actual plastic eggs, and candy stuffers, with toys, playdoh, puzzles, books etc. they really thought it all through. You can just come here for Easter and every holiday decor shopping. This location always has a friendly cashier and the parking lot is spacious. It's a decent plaza but also a close to home drive for me. I like how there's always a security guard out front, most likely for the bank next door so it adds to the feeling of security as well. read more

If I could give zero stars I would! I went in to do a return and one of the employees asked the Manager Esther, if returns were allowed. Esther said yes but then left the long line at the register just to check what it was I was returning (a defective porcelain mushroom). She then goes on and says that I broke it at home and just wanted to return it. She continued to argue with me that she right to refuse a return. She made a BIG deal out of a dollar return, she continued to raise her voice and kept her line waiting. It was busy and with COVID right now its best to have less people in stores at a time, it was irresponsible to keep people waiting while she made a huge scene with the return. I asked for the customer service phone number and she and her employee answered "you can google it". This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS DOLLAR TREE. You're better off at .99 cent store. I'm sure their customer service is way better. read more

I'm glad to have a Dollar Tree store nearby home to pick up some stuff like birthday balloons for $1, got 12 for my little one for his 12th birthday. Also picked up two stacks of napkins for work and home, two packs of gum, and they have a nice selection of birthday cards. At this store, you can go in and grab what you need and there's no line. The staff here is very prompt with their service and very well organized and helpful. I don't have to make the out of the way drive to the 99C store. Hope this store remains in business for a long time since this is next to the Paris Baguette and has abundant parking spaces, unlike the cramped parking lot at the 99C store on South. read more

Just now 10:45 am manager stood their talking to Pepsi delivery driver while cashier helped blow up balloons, no one on any register . I waited several minutes while she continued talking to delivery person about thanksgiving. I asked if someone could help me. She said cashier would be back once done with balloons. More talking to delivery guy. I told her I didn't understand why she was just talking and not helping with checkout. She said she needed to receive delivery and turned away to continue talking about thanksgiving . I waited a few more minutes and said that I guessed I was just going to leave my $40 in items then. She didn't say anything . So I left . I spoke very calmly and professionally to her the whole time, which wasn't enough to get her interested to help me check out. YES! Finally! I have been waiting for this to open(feels like forever). It is right by my house and now I don't have to go all the way to Artesia for items for a dollar. They have been keeping this place in shape. It is really nice and looks really new. Be sure to come and not miss the grand opening!
