Known for selling a wide range of affordable items, Daiso USA now has 150 locations across the country. Long Beach has one near the traffic circle that we frequent, but since we were in Lakewood this weekday, decided to stop into this one (there is also another one in nearby Cerritos). It's well stocked and organized inside...actually found some items on sale: 'priced to move!'. Pretty much all the knick-knacks and bigger than we've bought from various Daiso's have been good quality and durable: I tend to lose/misplace them more frequently than having them break. That's what happened for the various chip/bag clips, so bought some more of those ($2.25 which is the price for the majority of non-marked items here). Have had good luck with glass 'tupperware' containers here: tight sealing, very durable, great for storing food that stain plastic (e.g. kimchi). That was on the high end at $7.00 (since marked at 400 yen). Checkout was easy, payable by credit card. Getting good at bringing our own reusable bags to skip the bag fees prevalent in California. read more

This store looks smaller than other Daiso stores but it is jam packed with tons of goodies. The store is a bit unorganized - I found items placed in random spots throughout the store (ex document holders, ice cube trays, toilet products etc). Was a bit hard to find but if you search, you can find what you want. Employees were very nice. Great selection read more

I pop into this Daiso location when I can't find something at the local dollar tree. Actually, this is the only place I go to specially for cellophane bags lol. They carry different sizes. Also, I've gotten stakes here to support my plants. Most recently I got a huge support rod (like over 6 fit tall) for my ever growing indoor rubber tree. They also have cute keychains, stickers, and odds and ends. I don't think I ever see staff on the floor but it's also never packed. There's always just 1 cashier when I go but usually no line. While in the store, my son had something in his hand, and when he went back to put it back where it belonged before, he could even do that, the employee snapped at him and told him to put it back where he got it from. The problem I have with this is that there were other children who weren't being told this there were other customers not being told this so I'm trying to understand why she felt the need to tell my 10 year-old to do this. Then she gave several excuses of why because she was so busy doing other things. We addressed this with the manager who seemed to brush it off as well so obviously customer service isn't for everyone. This is quite disappointing because I shop here regularly. read more

7/12/23 This store is D A N G E R O U S !!! For your wallet. Went in for plant labels and ended up with a bagful of items. I also grabbed various things that for some reason made sense then: Bday head bands (his/hers), stickers, clothesline contraption for delicates, snacks for my niece & nephews...$24 later, whatha what!? What the heck did I buy, a simple plant label stopover turned into a spree. Like I mentioned earlier, dangerous! The cashier was very pleasant & we chatted like old friends, she understood my dilemma, saying she tries not to stop by on her day off either but she gets sucked it with friends too. I absolutely love little containers and organizing every random item I have in my house. I lose track of time as I slowly meander through every single aisle. And... now all Daisos are the same. Some are too cramped. But this location has a nice layout. At other locations I feel rushed to get out of the way of people walking the opposite direction as me. There's barely any space for 2 people to rifle through things without feeling like we're encroaching on one another's personal space. So, I appreciate the design of this store. With the holidays swiftly approaching, Daiso is a great place to find tchotchkes with which to stuff stockings or out of the ordinary gift ideas. read more

This is a nice clean and tidy Daiso Japan with free parking in a strip mall. So if you stay inside to shop long enough you will hear upbeat pop music from today's hits, but I've also heard (I believe) Japanese pop at times. I dig it. You'll also hear several announcements that there are no refunds, returns or exchanges. All sales are final. It's a great place to put together an inexpensive thank you gift bag for someone. Another Yelper mentioned white elephant gifts. Most items are $1.50 unless otherwise marked. And they sometimes remind you at the register, "this is $5 - is that okay?" Makes me giggle every time. I broke down and finally bought some of those cute animal inspired arm sleeves yesterday (3/8/18). I just keep them in my purse and when I don't bring a silly jacket to a movie theater that's freezing or the dairy section at Costco - wham bam thank you ma'am. I'm shook this store doesn't have a better overall review. This Daiso is my go to. It's pretty big and super clean compared to others in the area. The only other one that I have seen that's massive in selection is the one on Beach Blvd in La Habra I believe. Anyways back to this one. Always stocked, has the best selection over the smaller ones in terms of dishes, snacks, the arts/ office supplies and even their seasonal section is better, big compared to others. The make up sections is always on fleek,da fuq. The staff is always polite and friendly. I don't think they are slow like other reviews say. They do their best. The bags are worth the extra charge or BYOBag. Parking is chill. As an amateur watercolor artist all of the paintings I've done have come from 1 pack of their 1.50 water colors and their brushes are legit. If you can find the A4 paper as well it's a pretty thiccc card stock for drawing, painting, DIY ect. A1 for the A4 paper packs. The florals are bit over priced but it's better quality and look more real than dollar tree ect. read more

It might not be one of the biggest ones but it's spacious, always well organized and it carries items that other bigger Daiso stores don't The only downside for some might be that all sales are final on all their stores I always find pretty cool kitty knickknacks, holiday decorations perfect for home, work, gifts or cemetery. One of my favorite items, Oil blotting paper at better price value than store brand names. Hey, Fatso! No more Daiso! You shop there too much! But, Coach! Daiso is great! There's so much cool stuff that I don't need or particularly want, but they're so cheap & cute that I have to have them! ;p A night & day difference between this & the Daiso Japan Artesia, being much more spacious, with actual shopping carts. The rad double-decker old school ones. In comparison, the Artesia store is very small & cramped, almost claustrophobic even. Plus, parking in the Pavilion's lot isn't a problem, unlike in the 99 Ranch plaza. The Lakewood store, located next to Tuesday Morning, is bright & inviting, with clean displays of the various knick knacks & food items from across the Pacific. Everything is organized & easy to grab. The cashiers & employees were friendly & efficient. My eyes spied, on this visit, a nifty collapsible hat, arm sun covers & a cool curved honey spoon, among other "why didn't I think of that?" products. Chair socks? Brilliant! Items are mostly $1.50, unless designated with another price. I had the Green Tea Pastry Roll and enjoyed it. It reminded me of brioche/Filipino mamon. Didn't hurt the wallet, either. Like all Daisos, all sales final. I highly recommend Daiso Japan Lakewood. Open, easy to maneuver layout, ample parking & hospitable employees will have me coming back for more. This is one of the more spacious Daiso stores I've been in. Like all locations it is kept neat and tidy and carries loads of stuff for $1.50 unless otherwise marked. While the chain carries similar items in each store there were definitely some different offerings at this location. My sole disappointment was that the snack shelves were rather barren; maybe it was just bad timing on my part. I ended up walking out with some slippers, a cutting board, some plastic picnic cups with cute characters on them and a bag of caramel corn that look like cheetos. This Daiso location was superb. It had great staff that was very welcome home. It had a white selection of many different items end it was well stocked. It was very clean inside and well spaced out it was also available to show me nicely and you can find your way to what you need. The prices were as expected from the store. It is really cool to see many different things. This is my new favorite Daiso. I was so surprised at how large this location was. They had a far bigger selection than other locations in the area like the one on Pioneer. I found all the things that I needed and then some. Definitely worth a try to come here if you were disappointed at another location. (I've been to some where practically all the shelves are empty!) Love this place and wish I'd taken more pictures. I've been here a couple of times, but came yesterday on Christmas Eve for some last minute stocking stuffers. The store is bright and always in perfect organized condition. They have a wide variety of items all priced very inexpensive. I bought a basket of random stuff for less than $20. The employees are nice and friendly as well. That always makes shopping somewhere more enjoyable. I stop by every time I'm in Bellflower visiting family just to wonder around and see what I can find. Visited 4/16/2021 3PM Outside: The are plenty of parking spots but spots closer to the store fill up fast so you might have to walk a bit more if you can't find parking in front of the store. Customer Service: The staff are nice and help you find something if you can't find it. Cleanliness: This store is very clean versus the store in the traffic circle. Daiso is SO cute! An asian twist to our beloved dollar stores. A lot of things are (as mentioned) $1.50 unless otherwise noted. Do be on the lookout for the higher priced items so your not shocked at the register. They have asian treats, trinkets, school supplies, home items, &just a whole lot of everything. A lot of things are indeed useful but definitely could have done without many of the things I come home with from here. Quality is a hit or miss, but usually flops around a good amount to be a funtional option for some people. This Daiso is bigger than the one in Artesia in terms of size of aisles. Which is good for those of us who like to grab a basket. I'm not used to this store, so sometimes it can get a little confusing for me, when I walk in looking for something specific, but I do enjoy picking up small things here. I picked up something similar to the Bucky 40 Blinks Ultralight Sleep Mask here that sells for around $10 at Bed Bath and Beyond, for $1.50. Which I think is a steal, especially since it looks pretty much the same, except that mine is blue instead of black. I really like coming to Daiso, and just browsing. And I picked up some containers to spray things with and also some cotton pads here. Very inexpensive! Not as inexpensive as in Taiwan standards, but then again lugging back a lot of stuff from Taiwan can get exhausting. read more
